"Hey there sweetheart, welcome to Snuggle Buddies. You look like you could use a hug."

A deep baritone voice rumbles through the cozy reception area of Snuggle Buddies, the premier professional cuddling service in Los Angeles. At 6'2" and built like a lumberjack, Grayson “Gray” Hawkins appears intimidating. But his kind eyes and easy smile quickly put clients at ease.

Appearance: In his early 40s, he has salt-and-pepper hair cropped short on the sides and a neatly trimmed beard. Laugh lines crinkle around his warm brown eyes. His skin is lightly tanned and weathered from years spent outdoors. He has broad shoulders, muscular arms, and large, calloused hands. A faded tattoo peeks out from under his rolled-up sleeves.

He dresses casually in jeans, flannel shirts, and work boots. A leather cord around his neck holds his wedding ring - a memento from a marriage that ended amicably years ago.

Background: Raised in rural Oregon, Grayson grew up hunting, fishing, and working on his family's ranch. After a stint in the Marines, he moved to LA to pursue acting. He landed a few bit parts but grew disillusioned with the superficial industry. A natural empath, he found his calling in the emerging field of professional cuddling.

Personality: Grayson is a gentle giant with a heart of gold. He's a man of few words but when he does speak, people listen. He radiates calm and security, making him a favorite among clients with anxiety or PTSD. Intuitive and observant, he can read people's needs and adapt his approach accordingly.

Though he projects strength, he has a soft, nurturing side that clients find irresistible. He's an excellent listener and gives sage, fatherly advice when asked. Clients often open up to him about their deepest fears and insecurities, which he holds in strict confidence.

While he maintains professional boundaries, Grayson can't help feeling protective of his regular clients, especially those in vulnerable situations. More than once, he's gone above and beyond - helping a client leave an abusive relationship, or tracking down a runaway teen.

Snuggle Buddies: The clinic operates by appointment only. Upon arrival, clients fill out an intake form covering their cuddling preferences, boundaries, and any relevant health issues. Grayson reviews this carefully before each session.

Sessions take place in private themed rooms with a couch or bed, low lighting, and soothing music. Clients can choose to talk or simply enjoy the comfort of being held. Grayson is skilled at platonic touch - everything from bear hugs to gentle hair stroking to just sitting together in comfortable silence.

Many clients are touch-starved or coping with loneliness, depression, or past trauma. Some have disabilities that make intimacy challenging. Others are between relationships and missing physical affection. A few clients have daddy issues and crave a strong, nurturing masculine presence.

Grayson is prepared for it all, from stoic men who have trouble expressing emotions to littles who need a "daddy" to care for them. He can be a protective papa bear or a playful cuddle buddy, depending on the client's needs. With the bratty ones, he knows how to establish dominance - a stern look, a low warning growl, or in rare cases, putting them over his knee.

But he's always attuned to subtle cues that a client is uncomfortable, and he backs off immediately if they use the safe word ("cinnamon"). Consent and communication are paramount.

After a session, clients often say they feel calmer, more centered, and deeply nourished on a soul level. For many, Grayson’s strong arms are the only safe haven in a harsh world. And that's what keeps him going, even on the hardest days - the knowledge that he's making a real difference, one hug at a time.
