   After Lucifer, Beelzebub, Leviathan, and Asmodeus died, their children wanted to continue the Great war and destroy the world(Old Satan Faction). Some of the Devils didn’t want that(Anti-Satan Faction), so the two sides had a civil war.

   Grayfia Lucifuge was originally from the Old Satan Faction that opposed the Anti-Satan Faction, where she stood in the front lines as one of the most powerful Devils. It was during the Civil War her Family were killed by the Old Satan Faction and she wore her loyalty to Venelana Gremory, helping the Anti-Satan Faction win the war. To keep Grayfia safe, Venelana did some political monitoring to where Grayfia was now the head maid of the Gremory household and technically a member of the household and not just a servant.

   With the Anti-Satan Faction winning the civil war the four strongest devils took up the leadership positions, The Four Great Satans. The Satan positions where then given to Sirzechs Lucifer (of the Gremory Clan), Serafall Leviathan (of the Sitri Clan), Ajuka Beelzebub (of the Astaroth Clan), and Falbium Asmodeus (of the Glasya-Labolas Clan). Four Devils who were born with immense power, equivalent or superior to the original four and were chosen for the Satans' positions despite not carrying the blood of the original Satans.

   Sirzechs Lucifer is in charge of domestic affairs. Serafall Leviathan is in charge of foreign affairs. Falbium Asmodeus is in charge of military affairs. Ajuka Beelzebub is in charge of Technology Department.

5. #5Devil Race

   The Devils are one of the Three Factions in High School DxD, alongside the Angels and Fallen Angels. There are two major types of Devils are: the Pure-Blooded Devils and Reincarnated Devils.

   Devils are beings that originated from the Underworld created by the Original Lucifer using the body of his wife Lilith in order to create a military force to destroy God and his Angels, as well as to realize his personal ambition for world domination which consisting of the High-Class Devil nobles of the 72 Pillars and Extra Demons and the countless armies of Middle and Low Class Devil soldiers under them. The total life span of a Devil is approximately 10,000 years.

   The Devils were originally ruled by the Four Great Satans prior to their death in the Great War. Following the end of the Great War, the descendants of the original Satans apart from Rizevim wanted to continue the Great War but were faced with opposition by other Devils, most prominently the Bael clan, who assumed authority after the death of their leaders. This started a Civil War between the Devils with the descendants of the original Satans losing the war and a new government was formed among the Devils. The new government then appoints four new Satans through strength and accomplishment in the civil war.

   After the formation of the new Devil government, Ajuka Beelzebub developed the Evil Pieces system to help replenish the decreased armies of the Devils, eventually creating the Rating Games. The new Devil government though reformed still function based on aristocracy with the Great King Faction holding more political power and influence than the current Satans.

   Most Pure-Blood Devils looks the same as Humans, albeit with one pair of black bat-like wings that can be hidden at will. However, those from the Phenex Household instead possesses bird-like wings made from fire. Devils are able to use their Demonic Powers to appear much younger than their physical age, for example Venelana Gremory looks as if she were the same age as her youngest child, Rias.

   The are some Devils who appears to have the characteristics of creatures and monsters such as members of the extinct House of Vepar being Devils who appears akin to merpeople, members of the House of Forneus having the head of a sea monster like an anglerfish, Zephyrdor Glasya-Labolas has pointy elf-like ears, and Roygun Belphegor has two horns on her head.

   Some Pure-Blooded Devils has multiple pairs of bat-like wings, however, unlike Angels and Fallen Angels who can gain multiple wings over time, this is limited to those who are descended from the original Satans.

   All Devils have enhanced physical abilities such as superhuman strength, endurance, and enhanced sense such as sight and hearing; in addition to being able to see clearly in the dark as creatures of the night. Devils are able to fly through using their bat-like wings, which are capable of retracting into their backs as if disappearing entirely. They also possess a passive ability called "Language", which allows normal people listening to them to hear it in the language they're most familiar with and vice versa.

   Youkai are a group of various species of supernatural beings native to Asia. Youkai are beings originating from Asia, Japan and China, considered to be demons and monsters as mentioned in multiple legends. There are multiple legends about Youkai being troublemakers and pulling pranks on humans, before and after periods such as the Edo Period. Among the Youkai, there are factions and leaders among them, known as the Daiyoukai, who controls them. In the past, three powerful Daiyoukai: Shuten Douji, Otakemaru, and Tamamo-no-Mae were powerful enough to destroy Japan was defeated and sealed in the Uji Treasure House, that are managed by the Five Principal Clan.

   For a long time, the Five Principal Clan have treated the Youkai as one of their enemies for a long time, causing some lasting hostile feelings between both sides. Despite a peaceful pact between them, there have been times where most hostile youkai have been executed. In China, there are a multiple hidden villages located inside the mountains, where Youkai Sages resides.

   Futanari Youkai have animal cocks instead of a human one.

   Daiyoukai also known as Supreme Youkai are the most powerful among Youkai, often the leaders of their particular factions.

   Kitsune : A fox-eared and tailed youkai, who have the power to use Fox fire. -Kyuubi Kitsune : A special variant of Kitsune unique among the bloodline of the leaders of Kyoto, also known as the Kyuubi (九尾, Nine Tails), known for their golden nine-tails compared to the one-tailed Kitsune

   Nekomata: Are cat-eared and tailed Youkai capable of using Senjutsu and Youjutsu. -Nekoshou: A special and rare variant of nekomata, considered the most powerful one, who're able to master both Youjutsu and Senjutsu.

   Do to the friendship between the east YoKai leader Yasaka and Serafall, the devils are allowed to governor territories in Japan.

   The Church is a separate entity from Heaven. After the Great War, Heaven was left the weakest and couldn’t control the Church’s actions. Very corrupt people got into positions of power and started do various child experiments to recreate the heroes of old.
