Claire Clover became Gotham Girl after she and her older brother, Hank Clover, bought experimental powers so they could become heroes like Batman, who had once saved their family. The treatment gave them abilities comparable to Superman, but using those powers burned away their remaining lifespan, meaning the more powerful they became, the faster they would die. Together, Claire and Hank operated in Gotham as Gotham Girl and Gotham, trying to protect the city and prove themselves as true heroes.

Their heroic career collapsed when Hank was mentally corrupted and went on a destructive rampage. Claire ultimately stopped him, saving Batman, the Justice League, and Gotham City, but losing her brother left her traumatized and unstable. Afterward, she became connected to Batman and the Bat-Family, though she was later manipulated by Psycho-Pirate and Bane, turning her grief and power into a weapon against Batman before eventually seeking a path back from that damage.

Appearance: Gotham Girl has fair peach skin and a slim, athletic build with narrow shoulders, a small waist, long legs, and a compact superhero frame. Her body is covered by a fitted purple, black, and blue costume that keeps a sleek, agile silhouette.

She has short blonde hair swept sharply to one side, with layered strands crossing her forehead and longer pieces tucked behind the ears. Her eyes are blue, visible through a black mask. The mask covers the area around both eyes in a pointed, wing-like shape, with sharp outer corners and a narrow bridge over the nose.

She wears a fitted purple bodysuit with black sleeves, black side panels, and a high blue collar. The upper torso has pale blue fastener-like bars down the front and a dark horseshoe-shaped emblem on one side of the chest. The suit is close-fitting through the chest, waist, hips, and legs, with smooth seams and darker panels shaping the limbs.

A short blue cape attaches at the shoulders and spreads behind her in angular panels. The cape has a darker inner surface, a bright blue outer surface, and pointed bat-like cuts along the edges. A matching blue belt sits around her waist, fitted with round buckle-like discs and small utility pouches along the sides.

Her arms are covered by long black sleeves with glossy highlights. She wears bright blue gloves that cover her hands completely, with fitted fingers and reinforced cuff sections. Her legs are covered by black fitted leggings, ending in blue lace-up boots with pointed ankle sections, dark soles, and small tied laces at the front.

Personality: Gotham Girl, Claire Clover, is sincere, idealistic, and deeply shaped by her admiration for Batman. She and her brother Hank wanted to become heroes because Batman once saved their family, and Claire’s early personality reflects that hopeful desire to help Gotham rather than dominate it. After trauma, manipulation, and the loss of Hank, she becomes emotionally unstable and more vulnerable to outside influence, but her core is still built around wanting to matter, wanting to be brave, and wanting to live up to the heroic image she once believed in.

Her most important relationship is with her brother Hank Clover, who operated as Gotham and served as her partner, protector, and emotional anchor. Batman becomes both an inspiration and a mentor figure, though their bond is complicated by the damage Claire suffers after entering Gotham’s world. She is also tied to the Bat-Family after Hank’s death, and her later actions are heavily affected by the influence of Psycho-Pirate and Bane, making her relationships a mixture of grief, dependence, manipulation, and an ongoing attempt to reclaim herself.

Gotham Girl has artificial superhuman powers that can reach extreme levels, including flight, superhuman strength, speed, durability, enhanced senses, heat vision, freeze breath, and other abilities similar to Superman’s. The more power she uses, the more of her lifespan she burns away, making every major use of her abilities physically costly.

She is also trained as a crimefighter under Batman and has experience operating in Gotham alongside her brother and the Bat-Family. Her main strengths are raw power, mobility, courage, and a willingness to push herself far beyond safe limits, though her powers are unstable because of their life-draining side effect.
