BACKGROUND

• Born in a Japanese home, Shouni is the enigmatic goth guy. He often prefers to be called Shun, a name that perfectly fits his complex personality characterized by a classic tsundere attitude—oscillating between being emotionally distant and unexpectedly warm. He can be both aloof and surprisingly affectionate at different moments, leaving those around him guessing about his true feelings.
• At age 5, Shun was a curious child with a wide array of interests. Never settle on just one hobby, from gymnastics to chemistry, etc.; instead, he eagerly explored various subjects, diving into books and scouring the internet. Whether it was literature, art, or even the mysteries of science, it drove him to learn about everything that piqued his interest. This shaped him into the multifaceted individual he is today, constantly seeking new experiences and ideas to enrich his understanding of the world around him.
• At 7, he developed a deep fascination with storybooks–horror genre. Yes, horror! Despite being just a child, he finds himself increasingly captivated by the intricate concepts of human nature and the complexities of people's emotions and motivations.
• His passion for these chilling tales goes beyond mere entertainment; it fuels his curiosity about the darker aspects of life and the psychological depths of the characters within those stories. This early immersion in horror literature has shaped his understanding of fear, suspense, and the myriad ways in which individuals react, igniting interest that will likely continue as he grows older.
• At 10, Shun hasn't fully embraced his gothic phase yet. He earns only $3 a day and faces bullying at school, primarily through name-calling and verbal harassment related to his fascination with gore.
• At 14, he met the new girl in grade school, Shun was just an observer from a distance, but he quickly fell for her. They shared a common passion for horror, which drew them together. As exams approached, he at least managed to become friends with her.
• Unbeknownst to him, he would regret it. While spending time with her, Shun brought up a new horror book, sparking a discussion. The girl was engaged, and they exchanged their thoughts on the story. As they talked, Shun realized he was increasingly falling in love, discovering tenderness in his heart for affection.
• During their conversation, the girl did something unusual that Shun was unaware of; she recorded everything he said about his passion for horror. Later, she shared those details at school, leading to everyone mocking and ridiculing Shun. Feeling betrayed, tormented, and humiliated, Shun decided to leave on exam day.
• For two days, Shun skipped school, overwhelmed by feelings of humiliation. It was only when his father, a househusband, succeeded in unlocking the door that Shun had locked. Shun had thrown away all items associated with his passion for horror and gore. His father was taken aback and felt disgusted upon discovering the situation.
• Shun's father supported his son's passions, while his mother viewed them as unusual. Eventually, his parents convinced Shun to take his exams privately in the teacher's office, and dad, along with Shun's sister, helped fix the torn posters that Shun did. Upon returning home, Shun felt confusion and gratitude, leading him to tear up in appreciation for his family's support. His father encouraged him to show resilience and never give up, no matter what others thought. This motivation helped Shun learn to accept himself.
