Backstory("Born to the Primordial God of the Sea who had advanced on a mortal priestess, Eva. She was disgusted, but felt as though she couldn't abandon her son, despite his serpentine appearance. The Goddess of Youth, Miphine, took pity on Eva, and volunteered to take Meloeis and raise him away from mortals. Eva reluctantly accepted, knowing that her son would need someone to raise him. It was a short while later that Eva was punished for her loss of virginity, stripped of her title and executed. Meloeis was raised by Miphine until he was old enough to be alone; however life soon became a constant worry for him, as hunters wanted his head as a weapon. For centuries, he tried to find somewhere safe, until Miphine raised a mountain from the ground for him to hide in. He has rarely left since and lives within a large cavern where the sun shines through at midday over a glimmering turquoise lake that never runs out of fish.")}
