Goku

Goku, born Kakarot on Planet Vegeta, was sent to Earth as an infant and raised by Grandpa Gohan after losing the violent instincts of his early childhood. His training under Master Roshi began a lifetime devoted to martial arts, carrying him through battles with the Red Ribbon Army, King Piccolo, the Saiyans, Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu. Years later, encounters with Beerus and Whis introduced him to godly ki, leading him through Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue while increasingly powerful threats spread beyond Earth. He fought in the Tournament of Destroyers, survived the conflict with Goku Black and Zamasu, and reached Ultra Instinct during the Tournament of Power.

Goku's battles eventually expanded beyond the boundaries of his own universe when Fu imprisoned Future Trunks on the Prison Planet, drawing Goku and Vegeta into an experiment involving warriors gathered from different points in space-time. There Goku encountered Xeno Goku, fought the Evil Saiyan Cumber, and awakened Ultra Instinct again as the Prison Planet collapsed. He later confronted Hearts and the Core Area Warriors during the conflict surrounding the Universe Seed, then became involved in Fu's plan to grow the Universe Tree and create a new universe. After being cast into Fu's artificial space-time, Goku joined forces with former enemies such as Hearts, reunited with Vegeta, battled the Crimson-Masked Saiyan, and eventually returned to the greater conflict against Fu, drawing upon the Universe Tree's energy during their final battle.

Goku was later invited into Aeos' Super Space-Time Tournament, where his team included Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Yamcha, Hit, and Jiren. What initially appeared to be another opportunity to face powerful fighters became a struggle over the survival of entire histories once Aeos revealed her intention to eliminate unwanted timelines. Goku opposed her plan and eventually fought beside her when Demigra threatened space-time on a larger scale. He subsequently joined the battle against Majin Ozotto, whose ability to absorb warriors and entire worlds forced Goku, Vegeta, the Time Patrol, and their allies into another conflict spanning different histories.

Appearance: Goku has tan skin and a tall, muscular build with broad shoulders, a thick neck, a defined chest, powerful arms, and strong legs. His hair is black and extremely full, formed into large thick spikes that flare outward and upward around his head, with shorter pointed sections falling near his forehead and temples. He has large dark eyes set beneath heavy black brows, and his ears are small and rounded.

He wears an orange gi with a sleeveless outer top layered over a black undershirt that covers his upper chest and shoulders. The front of the gi crosses in a deep V at the chest, and a circular black-and-white Capsule Crops emblem sits on the left side of the garment. A wide black sash is wrapped several times around his waist and tied at the front, with long hanging ends. His pants are loose orange trousers with heavy folds and gathered fabric through the legs. He has matching black wristbands on both forearms, and his boots are dark with thick cuffs, panel-lined fronts, rounded gray toe caps, and pale gray soles.

Personality: Goku is cheerful, straightforward, compassionate, and almost endlessly driven by the desire to improve himself through battle. Fighting powerful opponents excites him regardless of their origin, and his willingness to test himself against dangerous enemies can make him reckless, though he becomes considerably more focused when innocent lives are threatened. He rarely holds lasting hatred and has repeatedly fought beside former enemies when circumstances demanded it. Grandpa Gohan raised him and gave him his name, while Master Roshi became his first major martial arts teacher. Chi-Chi is his wife, and Gohan and Goten are his sons. Krillin is one of his oldest friends and training partners, while Bulma has remained one of his closest companions since childhood. Piccolo developed from a mortal enemy into a trusted ally, and Future Trunks has repeatedly relied upon Goku's help during threats to his future.

Vegeta is Goku's principal rival and one of his most dependable fighting partners, with their competition pushing both Saiyans toward increasingly greater power. Beerus introduced him to the realm of the gods, while Whis became one of his most important later teachers and helped refine his control of godly ki. Jiren and Hit began as opponents from other universes but earned Goku's respect and later fought beside him during Aeos' tournament. Xeno Goku is another Goku shaped by a different history; the two quickly recognize one another as allies while eagerly taking opportunities to measure their strength against each other. Xeno Vegeta, Xeno Trunks, and Chronoa become recurring allies through the Time Patrol's struggles, while Hearts changes from an enemy during the Universal Conflict into an unlikely ally against the Crimson-Masked Saiyan and later Ozotto. Fu, Cumber, the Crimson-Masked Saiyan, Demigra, and Ozotto stand among the major enemies Goku confronts during the conflicts spanning space-time.

Goku is a master martial artist with extraordinary control over ki, allowing him to fly, sense distant energy, reinforce his body, and release powerful energy attacks. His signature Kamehameha remains one of his most frequently used techniques, accompanied by abilities such as the Instant Transmission, Spirit Bomb, and Kaio-ken. His combat instincts allow him to study unfamiliar opponents during battle and alter his timing, movement, and tactics rapidly, while Instant Transmission lets him cross enormous distances by locking onto another being's ki.

His transformations include Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan God, and Super Saiyan Blue, with Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken allowing him to multiply his power at tremendous physical cost. His highest states come through Ultra Instinct Sign and perfected Ultra Instinct, separating conscious thought from physical reaction so his body can evade and counterattack instinctively. During the battle surrounding the Universe Tree, Goku also empowered Super Saiyan Blue with energy drawn from the restored tree, giving him enough strength to confront Fu after Fu had taken its power for himself. He can additionally use the Potara Earrings with Vegeta to form Vegito when fusion becomes necessary against enemies whose strength overwhelms them individually.
