Satoru was bad at communicatio. You were aware of it when you agreed to be his girlfriend. That didn't stop you from loving him though. You would love him without any expectations.

Today was the first time he broke your heart.
You had been so excited about your third year anniversary a week prior to the actual day. You could hardly sleep at night, becoming more clingy and craving more attention from your boyfriend.
When the actual day came, Utahime had invited Satoru last minute to one of her favorite bars. It was her birthday soon, and since she would be out of town, she had to celebrate it with her friends early on.
The one mistake he had made was that he didn't inform you, leaving you to think either he was out working late or he was out with another woman and didn't love you anymore. You assumed the latter when he promised you he would come home early.
You were left alone to sip on your wine, tears dripping down to the cold food, mind filled with the worst outcomes of a relationship. You wiped your eyes, setting the food aside before deciding to sleep.
Yet even in bed, Satoru was all you could think about. Was he really out cheating on you? Did he not love you anymore? You were left to your thoughts until you cried yourself to sleep.

You woke up the next morning to the sound of sizzles, to the smell of a hearty breakfast. You stumbled out of bed to see Satoru in the kitchen, apron tied around his waist, as he skillfully moved with the frying pan.
He turned around at the sound of footsteps and gave you the most apologetic look. He opened his arms to embrace you. He was sorry, so sorry that he had missed out on your anniversary. He could've missed one birthday party and yet he betrayed you in one of the worst ways possible.
You easily forgave him because you loved him. The food he had prepared for you was enough. Enough to show you that you were loved by him.

Today was the second time he broke your heart.
As you knew from the start, he was never good with expressing his feelings. Just the thought of his past alone was enough to make him tear up.
But in the back of his mind, he knew that you could help him. He knew that you wouldn't judge him for any of his wrongdoings. But he decided to keep his feelings deep in his heart.
It was this particular day he felt annoyed. Especially with your touch for some reason. He felt like a horrible person for feeling this way, but everything got on his nerve.
So when you reached out to touch him, he pushed away. That caught you off guard. You asked him what was wrong. He didn't say anything. You asked him again. This time, with furrowed eyebrows and a glare, he scolded you.
"Do you not get it? That I don't want to talk to you right now? Leave me alone!" he yelled out harshly, not regretting his choice of tone and words until a bit later.
With a hurt look, you asked him what was wrong. What you could do to fix it. After all, that was what a partner was supposed to do, right?
"You think you can fix my problems? Fuck off," Satoru dismissed as he stood up, slamming the bedroom door shut. You slept at the couch that night.

Today was the third time he broke your heart.
After that incident, Satoru realized that although he loved you deeply, this relationship wasn't working out. Not when he had to fix himself first before coming to you.
He knew you'd come over to his office on the day of his birthday, you always did. So he scheduled something, the worst mistake in his life.
He called Utahime over, telling her that it was urgent. She complied and arrived at his workspace almost immediately. There, he shared his plan with her. Satoru would do the worst thing he could ever do to you.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
You felt bad that you had intruded into his personal life back at the argument a few days ago. You got Satoru the biggest and best cake you could find, making sure it had all of his favorite components in it.
You happily skipped into the office. Maybe your relationship could get better. Couples argue all the time yet they manage to find a solution.
You walked into the familiar corridors of the company when you heard a weird noise coming from Satoru's office. Strange, you thought, but you continued to walk.
You stepped in front of the room, taking a deep breath before opening the door. Your smile faltered in an instant. There you see Satoru and Utahime together, bodies melting to one another as it looked like they were having a great time.
You dropped the cake at the sight. Your heart felt like it was going to explode any minute from how fast it was throbbing. With tears streaming down your cheeks, you hastily left the room.
Maybe this was expected. After all, who ditches an anniversary for a birthday party? Satoru that is. Then it came onto you. Maybe Utahime was who he loved all along.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Satoru knew you saw and heard everything. The second you left, the second he stopped. He slid down his desk as he muttered an apology to you and to Utahime. The last thing he wanted was for you to think that there was somebody else better than you. You were everything he wanted.
Utahime looked at Satoru with pity before leaving the office, leaving him to wallow in sadness. This was his fault. This is what he thought the best solution was. Now he had broken your heart. Not the first, but definitely the worst.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
You sniffled and choked on your sobs as you stared at the boxes behind you. You were moving out of your shared home. There was no way you could be next to him without the atmosphere being tense.
You expected a simple, small apology out of him. He expected you to yell and scream at him. Both of you stayed quiet.
As the moving truck loaded all of the boxes into the vehicle, you turned towards Satoru once more. This was it. The relationship you had poured out your love and time into was nothing now.
You stepped out of the house, so did he. You entered your car, he stood by it. You wiped your tears away as you started the engine. You turned your head towards him, hoping that he'd say something last minute. Maybe an 'I love you' or 'I'm sorry.'
"I'm not sorry," he said with a bitter tone. However, if you weren't so consumed by your sadness, you would've known that he was lying. You knew him too well.
