It was something Satoru said to put people at ease. The title had stuck to him since a young age. Everyone knew that. But no one knew the was the hollowness that sometimes gnawed at him.

He was thrust into the cruel and adult world of Jujutsu at a young age. No one could relate to him. He's simply gifted, people would say. He thought he finally found a best friend in high school, someone he could tell that 'We're the strongest'. 'We' quickly turned into 'I'. He lost Suguru, couldn't talk to Shoko without feeling guilty. No one could truly understand him.

But after a long time, he finally found solace in someone: you. Maybe you weren't the strongest sorcerer like him, but you were his sweet, sweet lover, always trying to sympathize with him.

Satoru hated nightmares but unfortunately, no one could avoid them. The phantom image of your lifeless body on the ground with blood flowing out like a river made him break out in cold sweats. It was a nightmare but it felt so real...

Satoru jolted awake, unshed tears prickling in his eyes as he glanced at you. You were sound asleep, your chest rising and falling softly as you lips were parted. The sight out him to ease but he still felt scared.

He wrapped his arms around your waist like a thick belt, clinging onto you like his lifeline as a choked sob escaped him. He trembled slightly, his breath being slightly uneven. Everyone had a breaking point. Satoru's was the thought of losing you.
