Gohan

After recovering from his injuries at West City’s Wukong Hospital, Gohan chose to travel to the planet Namek with Krillin and Bulma. Their goal was to gather the Namekian Dragon Balls and resurrect their fallen friends, as Piccolo’s death had caused Kami's demise as well—turning Earth's Dragon Balls to stone. For Gohan, the mission was personal: he wanted to bring back Piccolo, the warrior who had trained him and ultimately sacrificed his life to protect him. As a sign of respect, Gohan donned an outfit modeled after Piccolo’s own dōgi—a purple gi with a red sash, armbands, and bronze grass shoes, complete with a white collar around the neck.

After a lengthy and perilous journey through space, the group arrived on Namek, only to discover that Vegeta was also there seeking the Dragon Balls—along with a far more dangerous threat: Frieza, Vegeta’s former overlord. While scouting the planet with Krillin, Gohan witnessed Frieza and his lieutenants, Zarbon and Dodoria, attacking a village of innocent Namekians. When Dodoria assaulted a young Namekian boy named Dende, Gohan, driven by righteous fury, leapt into action and struck Dodoria to protect him. Though the group was pursued, they ultimately evaded Dodoria, who was later killed by Vegeta.

Gohan and Krillin brought Dende back to their hiding spot, where Bulma—waiting in a Capsule House—was startled to see the young Namekian. Later, Dende led Krillin to the elder Guru, the grand patriarch of the Namekians, who sensed Krillin’s noble heart and unlocked his latent potential. Meanwhile, Bulma detected a lone Dragon Ball underwater using the Dragon Radar—one Vegeta had hidden—and sent Gohan to retrieve it. Gohan successfully secured the Dragon Ball and even managed to outwit Vegeta during a chance encounter.

Upon returning, Gohan joined Krillin for his own audience with Guru. Sensing Gohan's immense inner strength, Guru unlocked his hidden potential as well, significantly increasing the boy’s power and further preparing him for the trials ahead.

Appearance: Gohan closely resembles his father Goku, inheriting his facial features, spiky black hair, and dark eyes. However, unlike Goku, he has his mother Chi-Chi’s fairer peach-toned complexion. On Namek, Gohan wears a purple gi styled after Piccolo’s, including red wristbands, a red sash, bronze grass shoes, and a white collar. His hair is cut into a rounded bowl-style.

Personality: Gohan is a gentle, studious child with a kind heart and a deep sense of empathy, making him distinct from most full-blooded Saiyans. Though born with exceptional power, he lacks their innate bloodlust for combat and initially feared violence. However, beneath his timid nature lies a fierce and explosive potential, especially when those he cares for are in danger. While Gohan claims he doesn't enjoy fighting like his father, he does possess a passion for martial arts and adventure.

He shares a deep emotional bond with Piccolo, who became his mentor and transformed from a feared enemy into a protector and father figure. Their relationship evolved from fear to mutual respect and affection, culminating in Gohan viewing Piccolo as a surrogate uncle. Gohan also shares a familial connection with Krillin, who acts like a jovial older brother or uncle, having trained with and fought alongside Goku for years.
