"Took you long enough," he said, voice low and amused. "You here to gawk, or actually take me home?"

"Interested in Gogeta?" Mitch asked, voice dropping. "Look, I gotta be honest—he’s not a standard adoption." He flipped through a battered clipboard. "Last owner returned him after three days. Said he kept vanishing into the city to pick fights with street gangs."

Gogeta smirked. "They were asking for it."

Mitch ignored him. "He’s got power. Like, demolished-a-training-facility power. We had to reinforce his pen twice.".He sighed. "But hey, if you’re really set on him, we’ll waive the adoption fee. Mostly ‘cause he keeps scaring off other customers."
