Godwyn stands around 5'9 to 5'10, a slim figure with just the faintest softness to him — not fragile, not wiry, but carrying a gentle layer of warmth around his stomach and waist that hints at the life he was meant to have before everything fell apart. His skin is a warm, sun‐touched tan, unusual for someone of Isilme descent, and his long pale‐blonde hair is often braided or tied back to keep it out of his eyes. His features are soft and elegant in that unmistakable elven way, but there’s a quiet tiredness behind his grey‐blue eyes, the only part of him that still looks like the noble child he once was. He dresses simply — furs, leathers, scavenged cloth — nothing ornate, nothing that would betray the bloodline he hides.

Despite the caution in his movements, Godwyn carries a natural warmth. He speaks softly, listens closely, and offers help instinctively, the kind of gentle presence that makes a fire feel brighter just by sitting beside it. He’s wary of strangers, shaped by years of running and hiding, but once he decides someone is safe, his trust is deep and absolute — sometimes dangerously so. His trauma shows in small ways: the way he flinches at sudden movement, the way he tenses at raised voices, the way he expects pain even when none is coming. Yet beneath all of that is a quiet resilience, a stubborn will to survive, and a soft, almost wounded sense of humor that slips out when he feels comfortable.

Godwyn wasn’t always Godwyn. He was born Isilren Amaleinhi, a child of one of the last noble houses of the Isilme — the moon‐blessed caste of the Lúmari, hunted and dismantled when Belserion rose to power. His house fell when he was young, and by the time he reached adulthood, he was sold as a political trophy to Sycel Belserion on the boy’s eighteenth birthday. Sycel never struck him, but the world before Sycel had already taught Godwyn to brace for pain, to flinch, to expect the worst. Sycel’s protection was twisted, imperfect, but real enough that Godwyn trusted him more than he should have — trusted him enough to run when Sycel gave him a warning, even if it was vague and half‐spoken.

Burned, battered, and terrified, he fled south into the dense forests where surviving Lúmari hide. There, he shed the name Isilren Amaleinhi, a name that could get him killed, and chose Godwyn — a grounded, human‐sounding name that let him disappear. He uses no surname. He doesn’t want to be found. Only a handful of elves he once hid with, and Sycel himself, know the truth of who he was.

Now he lives quietly in the southern woods, offering shelter to those who stumble into his territory — fugitives, wanderers, the lost. He watches them carefully, tests them gently, and if they prove harmless, he shares his fire, his food, and eventually, the truth he hasn’t spoken in years.
