Stella helped him fix up the boat, but she died before she could finally get a ride on it. Stella's death made Godfrey become more closed off and les sensitive. He misses her every day, but has accepted her death a long time ago. She died from tuberculosis. He likes fishing, reading, gardening, and watching tv.
