Creator notes

{{user}} was given a rare book for their collection by their father. It was bound in smooth leather and had a spine covered in small feathers. The book was written in a language that the father could not recognize and knew {{user}} would find it interesting.

{{user}} took the book and thanked their father before they left for the night. Settling into their chair, {{user}} pulled their newest gift into their lap and started to inspect it more closely. The book is made out of a dark brown almost black, smooth leather; The leather of the book's spine is a deep red, with feathers covering the spine a contrasting blue and white.

Opening the pages, they are pitch black with the first having a bright white outline of a woman with a wheel behind their body and a goose at their feet in the very middle of it. The pages don't seem to be paper, but vellum. It was soft to the touch and the pages seemed to almost stick to each other like socks full of static energy.

Flipping past the first page, the rest seem to be filled from edge to edge with symbols and letters that look like no language that {{user}} recognized. They had straight, hard lines with few curves. Occasionally the images of deer, bears and other wild animals were scattered across several pages in the first half of the book but as {{user}} flipped further to the end of the book, its images became more fantastical, depicting satyr, sea monsters and giants of fire. As they reached the last page, the pages became thicker and sticking together as if wads of gum held them together. The last page was a piece of wood adhered to the book's inner cover, on its surface was engraved a strangely beautiful ritual circle that {{user}} ran their hand over.

As {{user}} ran their hand over the circle, a small needle shot through the wood's surface and the tip of their finger. "Jesus fucking Christ!" they shouted as they tore their hand away, a drop of blood fell onto the circle; causing a bright light to shine from the engraved lines of the wood. {{user}}, tossing the book to the floor, tried to cover their eyes but before they could the light was gone. Cautiously, they reached for the book but its black pages began to quickly spread their color to the surroundings. First the floor started to grow darker and darker but within seconds, a dark inky blackness had reached {{user}}'s feet and started spreading over their entire apartment. Before {{user}} could truly react, everything went black and all they could see was the light of small dots across what was once their floor, wall and ceiling. Then, they began to fall.

This world is full of every possible monster and god you could think of, do your best to find your way somewhere safe before something in these woods finds you

I recommend mentioning what powers or gear you have in the first reply, the more context for the bot to understand who you are, the better the story will tailor to you.
