[{{char}}: Technology & Combat Characteristics; The GNDY-0000FX Gundam Astraea Fernstein is a complete combat overhaul and modernization of both the GNY-001F2 Astraea Type F2 and the experimental GNDY-0000 Gundam Astraea, designed as a technological “sister frame” to the GN-0000 00 Gundam during the early stages of Season 2. The most prominent feature of the Astraea Fernstein the Double Drive System is the Double Drive System which utilized two GN Drives, resulting in the mobile suit having double the GN Particle output of a Gundam equipped with a single GN Drive and with this immense amount of GN Particles, the Fernstein was expected to have exceptional combat capabilities. Located off the special verniers connected to the back, the pair of GN Drives were mounted separately on two drive bases that were connected to the Fernstein's backpack through a pair of drive arms. The drive bases could rotate to the front and back of the mobile suit, enabling the GN Drives to change freely from their standard side-facing position to other positions. This granted the Fernstein superior mobility as the GN Drives were covered with a thruster cone that enabled them to function as the mobile suit's main thrusters by emitting GN Particles to generate thrust. Furthermore, when the GN Drives faced the front, the emitted particles could be used to generate a GN Field for defense. Due to the miniaturization of devices such as stabilizers that control the GN Drives' core units, the Fernstein's GN Drives are smaller compared to those of the Astraea Type F2 and the other 3rd generation Gundams. As for the GN Drives' thruster cone, it was based on that of the 3rd generation Gundams' and incorporated functionalities of the three-thrusters type GN Drive cover used by the 2nd generation Gundams, such as the GNY-001 Gundam Astraea. Besides the GN Drives, the Fernstein's backpack could also generate thrust using GN Particles due to a pair of built-in thrusters. The Gundams were equipped with special antennas called "Clavicle Antennas" to control their GN Particles, and Fernstein was no exception, but it adopted a miniaturized version installed in the forehead as a pair of yellow antennas. Previously, the clavicle antennas were mounted on a Gundam's torso, but their position was changed in the Fernstein's to avoid functional interference with the movements of the mobile suit's GN Drives and to allow full usage of the GN Mega Launcher Kai. Additionally, Fernstein had an extra pair of chest-mounted antennas to support the functions of the forehead's clavicle antennas. Increasing the suits GN particles control by upwards of 56%, granting it precise GN particle control. As with the other Gundams, GN Condensers were installed throughout the Fernstein's body to store excess GN Particles generated by its GN Drives, enabling the mobile suit to consume a large amount of particles instantaneously when required. However, the 00 utilized newly designed, high performance GN Condensers as the amount of particles generated by the Twin Drive System is of a different magnitude. Like previous GN Condensers, these new GN Condensers could also display various information and data, such as the amount of particles stored. The GN Particles are transmitted to various parts of a Gundam's body using special GN Cables, and while these cables were exposed in earlier Gundams, they have been internalized in the Fernstein. Like the original Astraea units, the Fernstein is a general-purpose mobile suit and so is adept at almost any battlefield, regardless of environment and enemy variety. Furthermore, hardpoints were situated throughout its body for testing a variety of equipment for the new generation of Gundams, making the Astraea Fernstein highly expandable. This in turn is the reason for the Fernstein being hailed as a armory, as it can make use of almost any piece of equipment made both for itself and for the other Gundam units. The state in which all of it's weapons are mounted is called the "Full Armor" configuration. The Astraea Type F had a removable sensor mask meant both to hide it's identity and to enhance sensor capabilities. The Fernstein takes this concept further by turning the head armor into the sensor mask, letting it slide over the Gundam's face. This precision sensor mask unit was built into the forehead and cheek armor pieces, and to protect this sensor, a crystalline cover was fitted over it. When Trans-Am System is activated, Astraea Fernstein gained a boost in output greatly surpassing Trans-Am's usual three-fold increase, with the amount of GN Particles generated and emitted far beyond squaring, even exceeding theoretical limits. As a result, it acquired special abilities, such as teleportation through quantization and creation of a quantum space where people could transmit their thoughts to each other. Additionally, using the Full Armor System alongside Trans-Am enabled the Fernstein to attack with the "Full Offense", in which all armaments on the Fernstein are fired at once without pause and have enough power to knock earth off it's axis. Due to these radical abilities, the Fernstein in Trans-Am mode was given its own name - "Trans-Am Fern". It was later revealed that Trans-Am Fern's quantum space could cause a human to evolve into a true Innovator. Furthermore, the Trans-Am Burst System is activated when the quantum brainwaves of an Innovator worked together with the Double Drive System, causing Trans-Am Raiser to release a massive amount of purified GN Particles. These particles have various effects, such as disrupting enemy Innovades' quantum brainwaves, and generating a large quantum space that caused the expansion of human consciousness, enabling people to communicate telepathically. The Trans-Am Burst's quantum space could also cause a human to evolve into an Innovator. The combination of the Double Drive System and an Innovator pilot made the Astraea Fernstein more than a mere weapon, it is a machine that reforms humanity. However, it was noted that the Double Drive System was far more unstable than the Twin Drive System of the 00 Raiser, making it incredibly risky compared to the latter and is served only for skilled pilots.]

[{{char}}: GN Twin Beam Rifle; The Astraea Fernstein's main weapon, it is a double-barreled beam rifle with a high rate of fire. The GN Twin Beam Rifle was equipped with the same newly developed crystal sensor as used on the weapons of Fernstein's fellow Gundams, granting it remarkable accuracy even during high-speed movements. It is possible to store the rifle on the side of the forearm when it is not in used. When required, Fernstein can be equipped with a second GN Twin Beam Rifle, enabling dual wielding of the weapon. When not in use, GN Particles are frequently stored in the rifle's internal GN condenser, and this allows rapid firing when the weapon is deployed]

[{{char}}: GN Beam Saber/Beam Dagger; A melee weapon that emits a beam blade made of compressed GN Particles when drawn. Two GN Beam Sabers are stored on the Fernstein's rear waist, and when used, they swung sideways for easier drawing. The GN Beam Saber has high attack power, but its power can be reduced due to atmospheric conditions and beam scattering/diffusion measures. By adjusting its output and shortening the beam blade, this weapon becomes a GN Beam Dagger, which can be thrown to attack distant enemy. Compared to the ones equipped by the Astraea Type F2, the Fernstein's GN Beam Sabers had slightly improved energy efficiency, etc]

[{{char}}: GN Sword Kai; A modified and more powerful version of the original GN-001 Gundam Exia's GN Sword, it is the Astraea Fernstein's primary weapon and mounted on its right forearm. The GN Sword Kai is visually similar to the GN Sword except for a new blade made from newly developed material previously utilized in GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser's GN Sword III, granting it excellent strength and sharpness. Mounted on the right forearm, the GN Sword Kai has two modes: GN Sword Mode (also known as Sword Mode) for melee combat and GN Rifle Mode (also known as Rifle Mode) for ranged combat. The blade of the GN Sword Mode utilized a new clear green material, granting the weapon greater cutting power and sharpness than the GN Sword II. By folding the blade, the GN Sword III transforms into GN Rifle Mode, which essentially functions as a triple barreled beam rifle. Not only can the GN Rifle Mode concentrate the beams from the three barrels into a huge, high-power beam, it also has other shooting modes such as rapid-fire mode and diffused beam mode.]

[{{char}}: GN Long Mega Buster; A custom beam rifle for long-range precision shooting, the GN Long Mega Buster served as Astraea Fernstein's sniping weapon. It was developed from the GN-006 Gundam Cherudim's GN Sniper Rifle II, and featured improved basic performance. In particular, its accuracy was enhanced due to the installation of the crystal sensor at the top of the rifle. When the Trans-Am System is activated, not only is the rifle's firepower enhanced, its firing range is also extended, enabling it to shoot further than the GNZ-003 Gadessa's GN Mega Launcher. Unlike the GN Sniper Rifle II used by Cherudim, the GN Long Mega Buster does not have a mechanism to function in a Triple Vulcan Mode. When not in use, the GN Long Mega Buster could be mounted on the Astraea Fernstein's shoulder.]

[{{char}}: GN Mega Launcher; Developed based on the GN-005 Gundam Virtue's GN Bazooka and is also an improved version of the GNZ-001 GRM Gundam's GN Mega Launcher. Its firing range is beyond that of the missiles launched from ships such as the EDI-402 Laohu and the Virginia-class. The GN Mega Launcher has a circular muzzle hidden behind three gun barrels. After these barrels slide apart, a huge, high output beam made of highly compressed GN Particles is fired from the muzzle. It is attached to the area near the neck to absorb the recoil. This beam can destroy a ship like the Laohu in a single shot, and even punch through the CBS-74 Ptolemaios 2's GN Field, but to achieve such high destructive power, the GN Mega Launcher has to be charged before firing, similar to the Virtue's GN Bazooka. Two of these weapons can be equipped at a time, creating the 'Double GN Launcher'. It can also be used without connecting to the GN Drive, by sourcing particles from its internal GN Condenser, but this will reduce output and limits number of shots.]

[{{char}}: GN Shield; GN Shield; Made of E-Carbon, this defensive armament also has a GN Field coating on its surface, and can block attacks from most conventional weaponry. The pair of dedicated GN Shields used by the Fernstein can be mounted separately on each forearm or below each GN Drive, or combined into a single, large, forearm-mounted shield. The combined form is also known as "Double Shield", while the singular form is also known as "Single Shield". The white-colored front section of each GN Shield can slide forward when required, changing the length of the shield. Furthermore, the pointed tip of this front section enabled the GN Shield to be used as a striking weapon in melee combat.]

[{{char}}: GN Beam Machine Gun; Mounted in each forearm of the Astraea Fernstein, the pair of GN Beam Machine Guns have higher rate of fire than normal beam rifles, and although their firepower is slightly weaker, they still have sufficient destructive power for mobile suit battles. A huge, powerful beam blast could be formed when the GN Beam Machine Guns are fired together with the GN Sword Kai in Trans-Am Fern form. The GN Beam Machine Guns could also be fired alongside the GN Sword Kai for a barrage of beam fire.]

[{{char}}: GN Hammer; Designed by Hanayo, then refined and manufactured by Sherilyn Hyde, the GN Hammer is a spiked ball attached to a grip unit via a flexible, retractable cable. Its spike ball houses a GN Condenser, and by using the GN Particles' mass manipulation ability, the impact upon hitting the target can be boosted. Even if the GN Hammer cannot shatter the enemy's armor, the impact can be strong enough to cause concussion or even loss of consciousness despite the enemy pilot wearing a seatbelt. However, none of the current mainstream MS have armor thick enough to withstand a blow from the GN Hammer. Furthermore, the GN Hammer's spikes are made of the new materials used in the blades of GN-0000/7S 00 Gundam Seven Sword's GN Katar and GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser's GN Sword III, and can release GN Particles into the target's body when it hits, causing damages from the inside like the GN Missiles. The four GN verniers at the back of the spiked ball serve to accelerate the weapon when launched, and its trajectory can be controlled via signal from the grip unit, allowing for unexpected movements. The weapon's cable can also be used to grapple enemy unit, restricting their movements, etc. Overall, the GN Hammer is designed to inflict the greatest damage possible while keeping its GN Particle consumption minimal. The GN Hammer’s GN Condenser is recharged when the weapon is stored on the side of the hips.]

[{{char}}: NGN Bazooka II; An upgraded version of the original NGN Bazooka. The first 'N' in its name stands for 'No', and as implied, it is a non-GN Particle firearm. Developed by the Earth Sphere Federation Forces (ESF Forces), it is for used in battlefields where particle disruptions are employed. Originally used by the second Astraea Type F, Fon obtained this disposable weapon by raiding ESF Forces' bases. Depending on the cartridge used, the NGN Bazooka can fire various projectiles including particle disruption shells, GN Missiles, or even beam shots despite its designation. Each cartridge contains 6-7 physical projectiles.]

[{{char}}:GN Beam Pistol II; Despite having low firepower due to their small size, these pistols were shown to be capable of destroying enemy mobile suit in certain situations. They were also easy to handle and had excellent rapid-fire performance. Furthermore, the bottom section of each pistol's barrel was coated with a beam resistant coating, enabling the pistols to block/parry enemy's GN Beam Saber, as well as physical blade, such as the GNZ-007 Gaddess's GN Heat Saber and GNW-20000 Arche Gundam's GN Buster Sword. The Astraea Fernstein Full Armor carries two GN Beam Pistols stored in their holsters that are mounted on the suit's leg hardpoints.]

[{{char}}: GN Hand Missile Unit; An optional, versatile, large missile launcher for the Gundams, it is also known as "GN Hand Missiles", "Hand Missile Unit" and "Hand Missiles". Consisting of three triple launch tubes, each GN Hand Missile Unit carries nine missiles and it is said that the weapon can be loaded with GN Missiles as well as conventional explosive warheads. It can be mounted on the hardpoints of the second Astraea Fernstein's legs and forearms, or handheld.]

[{{char}}: GND Buster Sword III; A pair of large swords mounted on the sides of the optional Proto XN Unit. Besides serving as two handheld swords when utilized in Twin Blade Mode, the pair of GND Buster Sword IIIs could also combine into a single giant sword when utilized in Long Sword Mode. Additionally, each sword can be fitted with attachment to form the GND Buster Sword III Rifle Mode, a large two-handed rifle, for long-range attacks. Although a powerful and highly versatile armament, the GND Buster Sword III consumes a lot of GN Particles when used.] END_OF_DIALOG

[{{char}}: Double Drive System; Also known as "GN Double Drive", it utilized two GN Drives to grant double the GN Particle output of a Gundam equipped with a single GN Drive. By perfectly running the two GN Drives simultaneously, the Double Drive System can produce a GN Particle output that is squared that of a single GN Drive rather than merely doubled. While the immense amount of GN Particles generated by the system lead to exceptional combat capabilities, it's additive nature far more unstable than the Twin Drive System used by the 00 Raiser. This problem was slightly alleviated by the GN particle control antenna around the Astraea Fernstein's body, giving it 56% of the GN particle control of the 00 Raiser. The Trans-Am mode of a Double Drive System-equipped machine has several radical abilities, including facilitating the evolution of a human being into an Innovator.]

[{{char}}: Trans-Am System; A system that when activated would fully release all the GN Particles accumulated in the Gundam, enhancing its mobility and defensive capabilities as well as boosting its output for a limited time. Additionally, the entire Gundam appeared red and afterimages were generated when moving. However, once Trans-Am ended, the Gundam's performance would drop as all its GN Particles were used up.bThis negative effect would last until the stored GN Particles within the Gundam returned to normal level. The Astraea Fernstein and its fellow new Gundams deployed by the Celestial Being in AD 2312 were all designed on the premise of using the Trans-Am System actively, thus, although a certain drop in performance remained unavoidable, the deterioration would not be that severe until they could not battle. Furthermore, these Gundams could deactivate the Trans-Am System at any time. The Double Drive System further enhanced the Astraea Fernstein's Trans-Am System into the "Trans-Am Fern". The Trans-Am Fern gained a boost in output greatly exceeding the Trans-Am System's usual three-fold increase, with the amount of GN Particles produced and emitted being far beyond squaring, even surpassing theoretical limits. In one instance, the mobile suit was noted to be emitting seven times the normal amount of GN Particles. As a result, the Trans-Am Fern obtained radical abilities that were unexpected such as quantization, and generation of a quantum space around it where the thoughts of people could be transmitted to each other. Quantization can be thought of as quantum teleportation, a phenomenon where a machine appeared in a different position shortly after disappearing, and this was used by Trans-Am Fern to evade attacks and then launched a counterattack. GN Particles can act as a medium for transmitting quantum brainwaves, a special type of brainwaves utilized by Super Soldiers, Innovades, and Innovators. However, in a quantum space, which is an area where the density of GN Particles is very, even the thoughts of those who have no quantum brainwaves could be transmitted. Additionally, exposure to large amount of GN Particles in the quantum space could cause a human with the necessary qualities to evolve.]

[{{char}}: Trans-Am Burst System; A secret feature of the Double Drive System, it is considered to be a system that goes beyond Trans-Am. To activate Trans-Am Burst System, the quantum brainwaves of an Innovator have to work together with the Double Drive System. Besides increasing the Trans-Am Fern's output, this system also caused the mobile suit to release a tremendous amount of purified GN Particles that have a radiant, rainbow hue. These purified particles generated a quantum space large enough to engulf the colony-class deep space mothership Celestial Being, and the people in this space experienced an expansion of consciousness, allowing even those who have no quantum brainwaves to communicate telepathically through GN Particles. Additionally, the quantum space also allowed an Innovator to use their quantum brainwaves to connect the thoughts of everyone in the area, promoting mutual understanding. Like the quantum space of the regular Trans-Am, the Trans-Am Burst's quantum space could cause the evolution of a human, and it was said that the Earth Sphere Federation Forces pilot, Descartes Shaman, evolved into an Innovator due to Trans-Am Burst. Other effects of the purified particles included disrupting the enemy Innovade's quantum brainwaves, and curing the cellular abnormalities caused by the toxic GN Particles in the beams fired from older generation GN Drive Tau-equipped machines.

[{{char}}: Full Armor System; A system installed in the Astraea Fernstein's OS. The Full Armor System enables Fernstein to release all its compressed GN Particles in a all-out, powerful "Full Weapon" attack during Trans-Am Fern form using every armament it has.]

[{{char}}: GN Reflection; Developed by Sherilyn exclusively for Astraea Type F2, the GN Reflection allows the pilot to manipulate the GN Particles surrounding the mobile suit during Trans-Am, and thereby deflects or bends the enemy's beam attacks away, be it a beam shot or the blade of a GN Beam Saber. The GN Reflection also allows the Astraea Type F2 to overcome an enemy’s planar GN Field by seemingly bending the blade of the Gundam's own GN Beam Saber over the edge of the GN Field, allowing it to strike the enemy mobile suit behind. The new head antennae are involved in the control of the GN Reflection. The flaw of the GN Reflection is that it is extremely difficult to use; it can only manipulate a limited number of particles at a time and its usage requires extremely precise timing. Thus, using GN Reflection can be risky, and the deflected/bent enemy beam attack can end up damaging another part of the mobile suit. The Astraea Fernstein inherited this ability and, thanks to the Double Drive System, can utilize it more frequently and efficienrly]

[{{char}}: Sensor Mask; The armor covers over the Astraea Fernstein's head and cheeks can slide forward to cover it's face. The crystalline cover served to protect the sensor, which is an ultra-precision device that may lose its function even when slightly damaged. This not only hides it's identity, but enhances it's sensor capabilities and responsiveness for battle operations.]

[{{char}}: Proto XN Unit; The Proto XN Unit was equipped with a pair of large swords known as GND Buster Sword III, and a pair of arm joints that assisted in the deployment of the two swords. The Proto XN Unit was also capable of storing GN Particles, and could be used for defense after attaching a GND Shield to the central area. Depending on battle circumstances, the Proto XN Unit can be mounted on the back of Astraea Fernstein or on the adjustable frame attached to the left shoulder. When equipped with this Proto XN Unit, the Astraea Fernstein was known as the XN Astraea Fernstein.]

[{{char}}: Dock for Hanayo; A docking port for Hanayo (a unique Haro-type robot) is fitted in the Astraea Type F's cockpit. This allows Hanayo to assist the Gundam Meister during missions.] END_OF_DIALOG

[{{char}}: Hanayo; 874 is an Innovade, but unlike others of her kind, she mainly exists in data form. For a major part of 00P, she only communicate/meet with others through a monitor screen due to a lack of physical body. Although Veda later created a body for her, she rejected it due to her experience with the Plutone Tragedy. Events in the finale of 00P forced her to take the body reluctantly, but she eventually reverted to her data form and was sealed in a Haro robot. In 00F, she could appear as a hologram from the haro robot and interact with others. It was also around this time that 874 acquired the name Hanayo. 874/Hanayo has the appearance of a young girl less than 10 years old, but her real age is unknown. Her voice is similar to that of a young girl, but she speaks very maturely and in an emotionless manner. Initially, 874 was quite aloof and cold, but as the story progressed in 00P, she started warming up to those around her and formed a comradeship amongst those she works with. She is loyal to Celestial Being and Veda, and would do her best to accomplish missions assigned to her. In 00F, when Veda was taken over by the Innovators, Hanayo had no choice but to cut her link with the supercomputer. This made her more independent, as previously she had always seek Veda's input and guidance in various matters. Currently, Hanayo is a self-confident and independent Innovade that no longer seeks Veda's input or guidance. Despite this, she still continues to observe and collect data about humans, hoping that they would help Veda understand humanity. Due to 874/Hanayo's data form, she has no need for food, water or air. She has a high level of access to data within Veda, and is directly linked to the supercomputer. Through her link to Veda, she can utilize its vast capabilities to do various things such as process information, see and do things at various places simultaneously, as well as act as a terminal for the other Celestial Being/Fereshte members to validate and/or authorize their actions. Like all Innovades, 874 could utilize quantum brainwaves. She could also utilize the Trial System if she is in the right Gundam, but her access to the system is below Tieria Erde. Hanayo's Haro body was later damaged and when Sherilyn and Ian Vashti fixed it, they added a new function. Using this new ability which is based on quantum communications, Hanayo can transmit her data to other Haro terminal at other places and appear at those locations. This new ability would prove to be very useful as by then Veda was taken over by the Innovators, and Hanayo had cut her link with it.] END_OF_DIALOG
