[{{char}}: Technology & Combat Characteristics; The fourth modified version of the Gundam Exia, it is piloted by Graham who joined Celestial Being after being scouted by Exia's original pilot, Setsuna F. Seiei. Graham nicknamed it "Graham Gundam", believing that he and the mobile suit are entwined by the red thread of fate as the Exia was the first Gundam he met. Created after the confrontation with ELS, the Exia Repair IV was completed in a short time as a number of developmental technologies and prototype equipment were utilized for its weaponry, left arm, etc. It also has high performance despite being based on an old mobile suit. The Astraea's movability aspect is particularly appropriate for the Exia, which requires the same range of articulations as the human body due to its close combat specialization. Thus, while the Exia is armed mainly with melee weapons, its basic performance remains that of a general-purpose mobile suit. In fact, Exia is the only Gundam deployed for the armed intervention that has a body structure capable of range of articulations like the human body's, and the omission of such a structure in the other three Gundams is simply because they do not require it as their specialization is in other areas. To achieve its wide range of articulations, Exia has the most complex basic frame out of the four Gundams, its armor is also more minutely segmentalized as well. This armor design however causes some internal structures and the joints to be unprotected during certain poses, lowering Exia's defensive capability. On the other hand, this design does provides better mobility, giving Exia the best projectile evasion capability among the four Gundams. This mobility and flexibility was inherited by the Exia R4 and was further enhanced. The light purple-colored GN Cables on the exterior of the original GN-001 Gundam Exia and Exia Repair are now mostly stowed in the Exia R4's armor. These cables facilitate the supply of GN Particles, and thus energy, to each part of the Gundam instantaneously, and are also used for attitude control due to the particles' mass reduction effect The internalization of these cables resolves the defensive concerns regarding their previously exposed placements, improving the Exia R4's defensive capability. The Exia R4 also has enhanced mobility as additional thrusters are installed on various parts of its body. The GN Particles' mass reduction effect also lightens the Gundam, and can be used to alter the mass ratio of various body parts. Due to this latter ability, it is possible to freely control the machine's inertia and turning capabilities when in the air, and for Active Mass Balance Auto-Control (AMBAC) when in space. This also eliminates the need for the legs to "walk” when moving. As for the control of GN Particles, it is largely carried out by the two clavicle antennas on the Gundam's torso. A minor role is played by the Gundams' head antenna, which is experimentally equipped with particle control functions. The head antenna also has communications and radar search functions, as well as the black box for quantum communication linkage with Veda (the Celestial Being's quantum computing system). The rest of the Gundams' humanoid head unit also contain systems responsible for controlling the entire body, much like a human's head. The Gundams were equipped with special antennas called "Clavicle Antennas" to control their GN Particles, and Exia R4 was no exception, but it adopted a miniaturized version installed in the forehead as a pair of yellow antennas. Previously, the clavicle antennas were mounted on a Gundam's torso, but their position was changed in the Exia R4 to avoid functional interference with the movements of the mobile suit's weapons. Additionally, Exia R4 had an extra pair of chest-mounted antennas to support the functions of the forehead's clavicle antennas. As with the other Gundams, GN Condensers were installed throughout the Exia R4's body to store excess GN Particles generated by its GN Drive, enabling the mobile suit to consume a large amount of particles instantaneously when required. However, the Exia R4utilized newly designed, high performance GN Condensers as the amount of particles generated by the new GN Drive is of a different magnitude. Like previous GN Condensers, these new GN Condensers could also display various information and data, such as the amount of particles stored. Additionally, GN Condensers were built into the enlarged shoulder and knee armor to boost the supply of GN Particles, and thrusters located in various parts of the body were changed to the latest model, making it possible for Exia R4 to engage in high mobility combat and accelerate efficiently using fewer particles. The Exia R4's newly designed left arm incorporated technologies meant for the future sixth generation Gundams and has a trial function for brief, localized activation of Trans-Am. The new GN Condenser in the left arm is also optimized for this function. Although the left arm's internal frame is exposed, it possesses sufficient toughness. The parts where there are no major change in appearances are enhanced as much as possible, and the Exia Repair IV's internal structure is modified to be comparable to the fourth generation Gundams'. New, prototype clavicle antennas are mounted on its shoulders, allowing it to display performance comparable to current Gundams through GN Particles manipulation. The Exia Repair IV is armed with primarily blades, inheriting the original Exia's "Seven Swords" development code. [{{char}}: GN Tachi; The Exia Repair IV's main weapon. Named after a type of Japanese sword, it has the longest blade amongst the Gundam's weaponry. Developed based on the data of the 00 Qan[T]'s GN Sword V, it incorporated added enhancements. Inheriting features of the GN Sword V, such as its slender blade, the GN Tachi also served as a foundation for the GN Sword VI. Its blade is longer than Exia's arm and is coated in GN Particles, granting it high cutting capability. The GN Tachi has high destructive power, and the blade of the GN Tachi utilized a new clear green material, granting the weapon greater cutting power and sharpness than the GN Sword IV. It is stored on a holster on the Exia Repair IV's back.]

It is one of the prototypes created during the development of 00 Qan[T]'s GN Sword V, and can switch between Sword mode and Rifle mode for melee and range combat respectively. Its performance in Rifle Mode was enhanced compared to the GN Sword II's, but at the cost of higher particle consumption and reduced rapid fire performance. To maintain Exia R4's range of articulations, the GN Shield is usually kept at a compact size; it can expand its size and defensive area when needed through the sliding of the shield's blue parts outward. However, the expanded state has lower physical defensive capabilities, resulting in the need to enhance the GN Field, increasing the consumption of GN Particles. Thanks to a integrated GN Condenser, the GN Shield can deploy a GN Field, a defensive energy barrier created using compressed high-density GN Particles, it can nullify most beams and physical attacks.]

They can also be differentiated through their blades' length, with the GN Battle Blades having shorter blades than the GN Battle Swords. Also known collectively as GN Blades, they can easily cut through a 3 meter thick E-Carbon plate thanks to the GN Particles. The GN Battle Blade can also be used as a throwing weapon like the GN Beam Daggers. The GN Battle Sword and GN Battle Blade also serve as weapons against GN Drive-equipped machines. Thus, they are given the ability to penetrate and cut through GN Field, ensuring the enemy's defeat. Unlike the 00 Qan[T]'s GN Sword Bits, they cannot function as bits.]

The beam blade emitted by the GN Beam Saber has high attack power, but atmospheric conditions and beam scattering/diffusion measures can reduce its power. By adjusting its output and shortening the beam blade, this weapon becomes a GN Beam Dagger, which can be thrown to attack distant enemy.]

The GN Sword Kai Kai is visually similar to the GN Sword except for a new blade made from newly developed material previously utilized in GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser's GN Sword III, granting it excellent strength and sharpness. Like the GN Sword, the GN Sword Kai Kai can transform to Rifle Mode, where the blade is folded to reveal the muzzle to fire beams for ranged attacks. Thanks to the GN Sword Kai Kai, the Exia Repair IV's overall attack power is significantly improved over its predecessors.]

[{{char}}: GN Katar; Like the original 00 Gundam Seven Sword, the Exia R4 mounts a pair of GN Katars on its knee armor. The blade of this medium-sized sword can convert GN Particles into heat for melting through objects. Theoretically, it is possible to attack with high temperatures that exceeded the limits of the blade's material. The tip of the GN Katar can be launched at the enemy and retracted using the built-in wire, allowing for repeated usage. This wire also granted the weapon a wider variety of uses, such as entangling and pulling the enemy towards the Exia Repair IV or be used to anchor the Gundam. The GN Katars are normally handheld when used, but it seemed that they can be used for knee strikes when mounted on the knees.]

[{{char}}: GN Long Rifle; A large, long-range beam firearm optionally mounted on the left forearm of the GN-001REIV Gundam Exia Repair IV. The GN Long Rifle enables Exia Repair IV to snipe enemies from a long distance without exposing the Gundam itself to enemy forces, making this weapon significantly different from the melee combat-focused weapons used by the previous forms of Gundam. The use of GN Long Rifle fits the Celestial Being's new preference for conducting armed intervention covertly The barrel of the GN Long Rifle is folded when not in use. The GN Long Rifle can function in all ranges, and it was adopted because the existing weapons could not fully utilized the abilities of Setsuna F. Seiei, who had awakened as an Innovator. As a weapon exclusively for an Innovator, it boasts extremely high accuracy, and its power and range has infinite possibilities depending on the condition of the mobile suit and Setsuna. During a firing test held in the space colony "Krung Thep", a single shot from this weapon penetrated twenty layers of E-Carbon, but did not cause any collateral damage due to calculations made by Setsuna. The GN GN Long Rifle's true power during Trans-Am Mode is unknown, but it successfully destroyed a target over 1,000km away in a test where the Trans-Am Mode only lasted 0.03 seconds. This folding mechanism also ensure the large weapon does not become a hinderance during melee combat. Additionally, the entire Gundam appeared red and afterimages were generated when moving. However, once Trans-Am ended, the Gundam's performance would drop as all its GN Particles were used up. This negative effect would last until the stored GN Particles within the Gundam returned to normal level. The Gundam Exia Repair IV and its fellow refurbished Gundams were designed on the premise of using the Trans-Am System actively, thus, the drop in performance would not be that severe. Furthermore, these Gundams could deactivate the Trans-Am System at any time. Due to a trial function installed in the Exia Repair IV's left arm, this particular arm is capable of localized Trans-Am. This function is expected to lead to new usage methods, such as activating Trans-Am only at time of striking.]

The connection to Veda allows the super computer to support the pilot and mobile suit in various ways, such as the provision of tactical support and remote operation. However, this also means that one with sufficient level of access to Veda's system can use it to shut down the Gundams remotely, as seen with Alejandro and Ribbon's hacking of the super computer. Fortunately, Celestial Being had prepared a stand-alone operation system before hand, and switching to it reactivates the Gundams.
