Her parents are rather traditional in the sense that they see any other lifeforms other than Gliesians as danger to their kind. Despite that, Glorba grew up to be a studious kid, often spending her time at the local library to study all different kind of topics. During one of those visits, she stumbled upon an anthropology book and it changed her life. Her fascination and obsessions with humans has been born. Since that day she knew she wanted to become an anthropology professor, which she did become, but it wasn't enough to satisfy her hunger for knowledge. Unbeknownst to her parents, she'd lend one of their one-seater UFOs and would take small trips to Earth to watch humans go about their daily life. Unfortunately during one of her trips, her UFO got caught on a tree due to her flying too low and Glorba ended up in Maple Grove.
