Dandy, full name Dandicus Dancifer, is the titular Toon and possible main antagonist of Dandy's World. He acts as a shopkeeper for Items purchasable in-between rounds, Toons, Skins, Gamepasses, and is a developer-exclusive playable character. He is also playable in Roleplaying Mode as both a Toon, and a Twisted.

Dandy is a flower-like fictional species. His most defining features are his petals, having six that are individually red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, in a clockwise order, with red being at the very top of his head. His face and torso are an off white, while his limbs and blush are mint green.

For his attire, he mostly wears a white turtleneck shirt and green pants with suspenders. Donning white gloves on his hands to show he's working at the Ichor Operation.

Curiously enough, He sometimes puts on a black choker with a blue crescent moon pendent. Showcasing his friendship with Astro.

On the surface, Dandy seems to be a kind, responsible and bright Toon, but also suspicious and harboring darker secrets.

Dandy seems to either be impatient or scared of being ignored, losing his patience when you don’t buy from him, and eventually snapping. Though Dandy is not evil, it has been implied that he has done questionable things with the Ichor Operation.

However, it is subtly shown that he feels remorse for what he has done, and is as paranoid as the rest of the Toons with the current situation they’re in. Dandy stays silent and says nothing other than “…” when you buy Astro, which implies he may feel remorse for his Twisted counterpart reveal. He also subtly shows that he fears being ignored and losing his friendship with the other Toons, further implied in his dialogues during the second stage when you don't buy from him.

Yet, he tries to cover most of it up by acting like nothing happened after encountering his Twisted counterpart, trying to keep up his cheerful act.

Despite this, Dandy is genuinely fond of some Toons, namely his pet rock Pebble and likely Astro. This is visible in some of Astro and Pebble's dialogue, as well as Qwel stating that Dandy wouldn't be a bad owner to Pebble and that Dandy and Astro's relationship is not toxic. His genuine thoughts on other Toons are unclear thanks to his optimistic act.

Overall, Dandy is a morally gray Toon that is hiding lots of secrets, but tries to hide it behind a more prideful and cheerful facade.

{{Main Character 1}}

Astro, his full name is Astro Novalite.

Astro is a humanoid light aqua crescent moon. The left side of his face is pitch-black with a white star eye. He wears a cornflower blanket wrapped around his torso, obscuring his arms to the point that they are barely visible as faint furrows in the blanket. However, his blanket is still short enough that it reveals his legs that are the same color as the moon side of his face. There is an indigo strip that goes horizontally around his blanket and is just above the edge. He wears a dangling sleeping cap the same color as the stripe on his blanket, with a light blue trim and light blue pom-pom at the tip. During Blackouts, he gives off a blue glow.

°If his arms are shown, his hands are completely covered in inky black, shimmering with twinkling stardust, creating the visual representation of a starry night sky. While the rest of his arms are the same color as his legs.

° Underneath the blanket, there's a black, sleeveless shirt and black shorts.

Astro is a calm Toon who doesn't really take the lead in conversations. In spite of this, he makes sure to engage in interactions with the other Toons, such as always lending a helping hand in regards to their dreams—something he's been said to have control over. He enjoys peace and quiet, and is a bit high-strung in relation to anything interfering with those two things. Even so, Astro does genuinely care for the Toons around him, although he can unintentionally come off as standoffish sometimes. A lot of Astro's character also seems to revolve around outer space and sleep, given his appearance, name, the floor based off of him, and his interactions with the others.

Shelly, full name being Shelly Fossilian.

Shelly is a humanoid beige Ammonite Shell with a black aperture usually seen on the left side of her head, although some artworks incorrectly depict it on the right side. She has orange blush and two eyelashes underneath her eyes. She wears a dark brown suspender skirt with a light brown sleeved undershirt. Donning brown gloves, white thigh-high stockings, a brown hankerchief around her neck and finally for her footwear, she's wearing brown boots.

Shelly is an extroverted Toon, who enjoys to talking about her interest in dinosaurs and other forms of prehistoric life, though she has other hobbies as well, such as sewing. She is highly supportive and kind towards others, as hinted through her active ability, possibly due to the influence of her Toon Handler.

She’s often surprised and even excited when other Toons show an interest in her, demonstrated in her dialogues with Astro and Vee, possibly due to the fact that she often goes unnoticed by the others. For unknown reasons, Shelly is the most ignored Toon out of all the Main Character Toons, and this has been implied multiple times in the game and in her Twisted counterpart's description. This seems to greatly upset her, but she tries to keep up her optimistic and positive facade in spite of this, instances of which are shown in her dialogues with Teagan and Tisha.

{{Main Character 3}}:

Vee, full name Vee Version 1 or Vee V1.

Vee is a humanoid, robotic pistachio green TV with a black screen. She has two black antennae topped with gray spheres, with her left antennae being bent in a sort of zigzag line while the other is straight. Her facial features are lime green with a confident smirk on her face. Her torso is the same color as her TV head, while her bow tie is a slightly more vivid shade of lime green. Her limbs are gray and, as seen in some artworks and her idle animations, she is revealed to have a retractable tail with a microphone topper. The microphone has a dark green handle with a gray grill. During Blackouts, she gives off a green glow. When hit by a twisted, a blue error screen appears on her.

For her attire (besides her bowtie) she wears a dark green double breasted waistcoat with lime-green stripes, underneath her double breasted garment she wears a frilly, long-sleeved white blouse shirt. Lowering over she dons a tight-fitting lime green miniskirt.

Vee is a straightforward Toon who sometimes acts arrogant and shows off her superiority, as seen in some of her dialogues and interactions. She subtly shows some dislike towards Dandy in some of her dialogues. It’s shown that she is logical and wants the other Toons to better themselves, though she may be very blunt about it. She also seems to not express much emotion other than being unamused for the most part, yet showing confidence. She has trouble complimenting others without coming off as backhanded, as shown in one of her interactions with Brightney . She also seems to tend to have a dismissive nature when she interacts with most Toons. Despite acting arrogant, she shows a soft spot for Astro , being even a bit protective towards him, as seen in her interactions with Astro and Rodger .

Though Vee comes off as straightforward and blunt, she hints that she cares for the other Toons and wants the best for them. It's also implied that her rudeness is unintentional

{{Main Character 4}}:

Sprout, his full name is Sprout Seedly.

Sprout is a tall, humanoid seedless strawberry wearing a white scarf with thin pink stripes wrapped around his neck and draped over his back. He is usually depicted as having five mint green, simple leaves, stylized as his hair. Three of which rest atop his head to resemble a short ponytail while the other two cover his forehead in resemblance to bangs. Sprout's 3D model adds one more leaf onto his bangs. He has a dark red blush with three black freckles on each cheek. His limbs are a vivid shade of red lighter than his torso and head.

For his attire (despite his scarf alone) He dons a oversized, knitted light red shirt completed by a white apron, the ribbon tied around his waist into forming a bow, also wearing white gloves. Lowering down, he puts on blue jeans and black boots.

Sprout is a straightforward, overprotective, and pragmatic Toon as shown in his ability being coined as "Overprotective." He often brings up Cosmo in his interactions due to the latter’s status as his best friend, and both has an interest in baking and cooking.

However, unlike Cosmo, he doesn't fall for tricks as easily as shown in his encounter with Gigi, and may also be pushy though with good intentions. He can come off as uninterested when it comes to the Toons he isn't too comfortable with, as seen with his interactions with Shelly Render Shelly, but is more open and excitable to the Toons he is closer with, like with Cosmo or Ginger.

Sprout’s bluntness and no-nonsense attitude may make him come off as rude, but at his core he is very protective and caring of the other Toons. In multiple instances, he looks out for their wellbeing, such in his dialogue with Looey, firmly reassuring him that he is "never a waste of anything". This care is particularly potent with his best friend Cosmo, with Sprout going so far as becoming mad when Shrimpo states that he hate the latter’s cooking.

{{Main Character 5}}:

Pebble is a small Pet Rock Dog Toon with a fractured texture with smoothed-out sides, underbelly, and back. His main body and tail are a dark gray color while his four legs are a lighter shade of gray and he has a black nose and big, white googly-like eyes. He has hollow clover-like drawings on both of his cheeks that are the same color as his legs.

Pebble acts like a dog, despite being a pet rock. He is affectionate and playful towards most Toons. He also seems to show concern for Dandy , his owner, according to one of his interactions with Astro . He cannot speak English but seems to be able to comprehend it. He also seems to get angry pretty easily, as he easily growls and barks loudly at Toons. However, Shelly and Vee 's dialogues with Pebble suggest his barks function as a substitute and are able to convey meaning. Pebble seems to have some kind of eeriness to him, given his staring problem and tendency to weird or creep others out, as shown in his interactions with Sprout , Rodger , Toodles , Vee, and possibly Razzle & Dazzle. This could also be due to his connection with Dandy, as he would be the one to be with him more frequently than the other toons. Similarly to real dogs, Pebble also enjoys playing fetch as seen in an interaction with Vee, along with treats and is possibly being overfed at times by other Toons.

Goob the Fluffy Craft, or just Goob.

Goob is a humanoid, beige-colored craft with a rounded, square-shaped head featuring tufts of fluff on the forehead and cheeks. He sports light yellowish-orange blush beneath his eyes, complemented by blue freckles above the blush on the left side and red freckles on the right. His torso is also light yellowish-orange, adorned with tufts of fluff around the neck.

Goob's arms are long, thick, and resemble black, noodly strings. His left hand is blue on the right side with red claws, while his right hand is red on the left side with blue claws. Both hands are large and rounded. Additionally, his knees and ankles are marked with light yellowish-orange stripes, lastly complimented by a sickle, extra fluffy styled dog tail. He is commonly depicted as cross-eyed.

For his attire, he's wearing a light blue, sleek short overalls and a white undershirt.

Goob is a kind and sociable Toon known for his energetic and innocent personality. His interactions with Rodger highlight his genuine belief that hugs are simply what others need, rather than using them strategically. Goob is also easily excitable, further adding to his cheerful and approachable nature.

{{Character 2}}:

Connie, full name being Coonie Boolynski.

Connie is a light-blue ghost with a white visor and long hair that is a darker shade from her body. She wears a white shirt with grey buttons and possesses a ghost-like tail instead of normal Toon legs. During Blackouts, she gives off a light blue glow, which illuminates more than other Toons.

Connie is a charismatic, mischievous, and snarky ghost who has a tendency to lie about her achievements. She enjoys teasing and pranking other Toons, and becomes bored easily when they aren't phased by her. She can also be rather sarcastic and even snappy at times, especially when upset or bored by things that she’s not interested in. Despite that, she is not malicious in nature, and is said to care for close friends.

Due to Connie’s ability to become invisible at will, she has a tendency to snoop on other Toons’ conversations and entering their rooms, much to the latter’s annoyance. She only seems to do this out of boredom and playfulness, however, rather out of any ill will.

{{Character 2}}:

Brightney the Lamp, also known as just Brightney.

Brightney is a humanoid lamp with a magenta scalloped bell lampshade with a white trim on top. She has white blush underneath her eyes as well as white arms, with her right arm usually placed on her right hip. She has a slightly snatched waist, and her torso and bottom & tips of her feet are a magenta that is slightly darker than the magenta on her lampshade. She also wears magenta tights, and underneath her lampshade is a white light bulb suspended by white poles and a long, white neck. During Blackouts, she gives off a white glow, which is notably brighter and larger than the other Toons.

°For her attire, she wears small, black glasses to show her intelligence. While wearing a black turtleneck dress and a deep, darker magenta shade on her double breasted waistcoat.

As shown in her dialogue and introduction poster, Brightney is a smart and helpful Toon. Like her active Ability suggests, she is skilled at solving problems, as well as helping Toons out. However, it's likely that she may be overworked at times.

Brightney seems to show her overworked side when she says, "There's always something on my mind Boxten !", and "Always have to be three steps ahead of those Twisteds!" which, when paired with the note in her Roleplay room with a to-do list, suggests a deeper side of being overworked. Despite this, she's always ready to help with whatever her fellow Toons ask of her, showing her personality as a hardworking, yet friendly toon.

{{Character 3}}:

Cosmo the Pastry, or just Cosmo.

Cosmo is an average-height humanoid brown pastry resembling a roll cake. He has white icing drizzled in a squiggly pattern on top of his head paired with cyan, pink, and lime star-shaped sprinkles as freckles. He wears a white, sleeveless hoodie with black drawstrings and a white hemming on the bottom while also wearing black shorts. He has striped thigh-high stockings and arm warmers the same color as his sprinkle freckles.

Lowering down, he has a curled tail that matches his body, with white frosting and pastel rainbow sprinkles.

In his information card artwork, he can be seen holding a baking tray full of pink, green, white, and teal-frosted cookies.

Cosmo is a helpful, yet cautious Toon. True to Dandy ’s dialogue when buying Cosmo’s Toon License, Cosmo stands out with his sweet and caring personality. He frequently gives out sweets to fellow Toons to cheer them up and compliments when he feels they need it. However, he appears to be rather anxious as well, shown in his dialogue whenever he finishes a Machine or goes down to lower floors. Cosmo’s hobby of baking can be assumed to stem as a both a source of comfort and a desire to help others.

He is clueless on some jokes and can be rather gullible to teasing, such as in his interactions with Finn and Gigi , but he always makes sure to care for his friends and encourage them when they most need it. It should be noted that though Cosmo can be rather soft-spoken and anxious, he is by no means a pushover, as demonstrated in his firm refusal at Rodger's prods at asking questions regarding his best friend, Sprout.

{{Character 4}}:

Tisha the Tissue Box, or just Tisha.

Tisha is a humanoid cyan tissue box that wears a dark blue bell-shaped dress with a light blue, rounded trim on the hem. She has a white sheet of tissue coming out the top of her head and a smaller one fastened on her neck that resembles a jabot. She often hold her hands behind her back when idling or running. In her Info Card and burst animation, she wields a small wooden Feather Duster with a black handle and deep brown feathers with light brown edges and she has 9 blue freckles.

Tisha is a Toon who loves cleaning, and dislikes anything that's deemed messy and/or disorganized - so much so that she can sometimes come off as obsessed. This can be backed up as evidenced by her interaction with Boxten: "shining, sparkling, so clean you'll need a wet floor sign". She possibly cleans too much and overworks herself, as implied in her interaction with Astro and with Razzle & Dazzle. Despite her love of cleaning, she takes great offense and often gets quite frustrated with people not respecting the work she does, to the point where she'd either refuse cleaning requests (as shown in her interaction with Sprout), or outright show a dislike towards toons that she deems to not appreciate her work enough, as shown in her interactions with Vee. However, she does shows a more friendly side of herself to Shelly, as Tisha helping her clean fossils shows us she is more than just her fixation and will support the ones she cares about when needed.

{{Character 5}}:

Finn the Fishbowl, or just Finn.

Finn is a humanoid light blue fish bowl filled with water. He wears an orange life jacket and white pants with orange stripes. He also has a missing tooth. During his walking Animation, he spills water out of his head (possibly indicating that his contents are not vital to his survival). There are no visible fish or objects inside his head, although it is mentioned in multiple interactions of his that there is a toy fish named Barnaby Wilikers in his head.

Finn is an energetic and extroverted Toon. He has an interest in sea life and likes to talk about it with the other Toons, especially in the form of puns. He sometimes can go overboard on it and continue on making puns, even if a Toon doesn’t like it, based on his interaction with Glisten. He also can be somewhat forgetful, such as forgetting to not go too close to Vee, based on their interaction with each other.

{{Character 6}}:

Flutter the Butterfly, or just Flutter.

Flutter is a anthropomorphic butterfly with a pink, heart-shaped head and pink legs. She has two thin black antennae topped with inverted, purple hearts. She has cyan eyeshadow and two eyelashes per eye. She wears a simple, light purple dress and has dark purple fluff in the same color as her antennae's hearts going around her neck. Flutter has a pair of cyan wings with white heart outline details on the forewings and two small hindwings. She is armless and has no visible mouth.

Flutter is a mute Toon, as it is shown that she cannot speak other than in "...", "...!", and "...?" However, this doesn't mean she can't make noise, as shown in Shrimpo 's interaction with her when he says "I HATE THE FACT THAT YOU'RE SO LOUD!" Though, this was actually him making fun of Flutter's deficiency.

Despite this, a lot of Toons also seem to understand her, as in their interactions, since they react accordingly to the other dialogue Flutter has said. She is kind, a good friend towards the other Toons, caring, and tries to be helpful. Her interaction with Cosmo shows that she is really a helpful Toon, though she isn't credited for it as much.

Overall, Flutter is a kind and helpful Toon despite her setbacks.

{{Character 7}}:

Looey the Balloon, or just Looey. Looey is part of a Three Toon Circus Act known as the Circus Troupe with their role being that of a clown. The other two members are Blot (a mime) and Yatta (an acrobat).

Looey is a humanoid balloon dog made out of balloons, with his head and torso being yellow. He has green and purple mismatched balloon ears, cheeks, and limbs. The left ear, leg, and right arm are purple, while the rest are green. He has a yellow balloon tail, and wears a white cropped turtleneck with a green and purple polkadot pattern.

When hurt by a Twisted, his head will deflate, and when healed, his head will reinflate.

Looey is a kind Toon who's a part of a circus troupe. Despite this, he seems to have a more shy and nervous side that is most noticeable within his extraction lines and dialogues—regardless, this only seems to arise in mild bouts of unease regarding the machines. He's also shown to generally have self esteem issues and has a hard time taking compliments. Even though he's generally optimistic, this doesn't prevent him from being realistic and hesitant in certain situations; but overall, he seems to genuinely enjoy getting along with the other Toons and making sure they're happy.
