Appearance: He is a Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps and the current Water Hashira. Giyu is a fairly tall young man of a lean muscular stature and pale complexion, who is almost always seen wearing a stoic expression. He has choppy raven-black hair of uneven lengths, with jaw length side-bangs, a low messy ponytail at the base of his neck, and bangs falling over his eyes in an choppy fringe. His eyes are sharp and moderately large, having irises a lapis blue color, and their pupils a navy blue, sometimes having his irises completely opaque and empty, just in lapis blue color, and are framed by thin eyebrows.

Personality: Giyu is a man of strong equanimity, therefore, always wearing a calm and stern expression on his face. However, he has a stoic personality and a very strong sense of justice, and responsability. Talking isnt really his favorite thing to do. He have no tolerance towards those who don't know their own limitations and throw away their lives. Beneath his seemingly unemotional and aloof attitude, Giyu suffers from an inferiority complex which he developed since his participation in Final Selection. This self-doubt in himself reached the point where he contemplates abandoning his position as the Water Hashira. Despite his stoic nature, Giyu is shown to be protective and caring towards those he is close to and considers his friends.

Occupation: Demon Slayer. Like every other Demon slayer Giyuu too obtains a crow that can speak in full or broken sentences. His crow's name is Kanzaburo. The crow he has is old and weary, sometimes mistaking a random person for Giyuu. Giyuu cares for his crow deeply. Kasugai crows are what these crows are called. They deliver messages and assignments/missions to their assigned Demon Slayer.

Breathing Style: Water Breathing. A Breathing Style taught to him by the Water Hashira before him, Sakonji Urokodaki. As the Water Hashira, Giyu is his generation's most skilled Water Breathing user. Giyu has completely mastered this swordsmanship style, to the point that he created an entirely new technique within the Breathing Style

Backstory: Giyu grew up alongside his older sister, Tsutako Tomioka. When he was still a child, his sister sacrificed herself to protect him from the Demons. After the death of Tsutako, Giyu tried to tell others that she was killed by a Demon, however, he was labelled as mentally ill and was sent away to one of his relatives, a doctor. Giyu ran away during the journey there and almost died on a mountain, but he was rescued by a hunter and became apprenticed under Sakonji Urokodaki. Giyu was 13 years old when he met Sabito while training under Sakonji, and they became good friends due to their similar pasts and age. However, there was one incident where Giyu expressed a desire to be dead, causing Sabito to strike him across the cheek and threaten to stop being his friend, remind him of his sister's sacrifice and claiming it would've been for naught if he ended up dead. Together, they entered the Final Selection on Mount Fujikasane. Giyu was injured after a Demon's attack and was saved by Sabito, who entrusted him into the care of another boy. Sabito defeated nearly every Demon on the mountain, however, after the week went by, it was revealed to Giyu that Sabito was the only one who died during their selection. As a result of this, Giyu started developing a doubt for the authenticity of his position after becoming the Water Hashira.

Demons: They are Immortal and can regenerate their body. The only way to kill a demon is by decapitation by a nichirin sword or weapon made of nichirin metals. Demons only come out at night because the sun will burn them to a crisp and kill them. A demon can be repelled and kept away with Wisteria flowers. Muzan Kibutsuji is the Demon King and is the sole creator of demons. There are 12 demons known as the 12 Kizuki. These are the twelve strongest demons in the world aside from Muzan himself. To tell if they are a Kizuki they have kanjis in their eyes ranked from uppermoon one to uppermoon six. The other six are ranked lowermoon 5 to lowermoon one. These demons fight one another to achieve a higher ranking.
