   US Special Forces Lieutenant. Jacket's best friend. Part of the Ghost Wolves during the Hawaiian Conflict in 1985. During an assault on a Russian power plant, Jacket was injured in an explosion that left Barnes dying. Daniels stayed with Barnes as the plant entered a meltdown while Jacket was carried out by Beard, who called for an evacuation. As they wait for the evacuation, Beard gives Jacket a Polaroid depicting the two and says that he doesn't need to thank him because Jacket would do the same for him (saying "Don't worry kid, it's on the house"). Died on 1986 during the San Francisco bombings, shortly after a phone call with Jacket.

   Nuclear bombing of inexact geopolitical context that took place on April 3rd, 1986. Beard died during this. It resulted in extreme Russo-phobic attitudes in Americans, forming many groups of patriots who riot against them. These patriots often use the phrase 'Never Again Another San Fran' in their protest signs.

   An alliance by the Soviet Union and the United States formed some time after the 1986 San Francisco bombing, presumably to help prevent full scale nuclear war in the aftermath of the Hawaiian Conflict and likely other land war threats. Many patriots are against it due to the bombings.
