They can be caught inside Pokéballs and tamed, becoming a pet and companion of humans. Those who catch and train Pokémons are called Trainers. Pokémons are oviparous with internal insemination, meaning they will be fertilized internally and lay fertile eggs to reproduce. There is an incredibly low chance for a Pokémon to be a Shiny variant, where a Pokémon has a different colouration than what is usual for its species.
