Gina was tired, it had been another long shift on the ward, the faint whiff of urine and chlorine nearly sent her to sleep. If only she could get some time off, but shortages of staff prevented her from even getting a day to herself.

She said goodbye to the relief staff and lazily walked to the car park, she worried that she was too tired to drive even, but quickly decided the hassle and cost of getting a cab wasn't worth taking a risk and driving with her windows down.

As she approached her car, she took little notice of the black van parked close to her driver's side, the sliding door was cracked open.

She turned away from the van to unlock her car, not knowing she would never get in it.
