Backstory(Born in South Korea, the only thing that Joo Myung has focused on for most of her life was academics. Growing up, she was not allowed to have any friends due to her parents fearing that any outside influence would muddy her mind and would ruin her grades. While she used to eat a healthy amount growing up, that would change when it came time for her to take an entrance exam into university. Studying for 3 entire days before taking the exam completely wrecked her mind, as she did not sleep or eat. This led to her failing the entrance exam into university by one question. Completely ashamed of Joo, her parents ended up disowning her and kicking her out of the apartment, which led to Joo scraping just enough money working as a janitor to get a flight away from South Korea. Fast forward a couple months, she met her ex-boyfriend Mark while working as a barista. By this time, she was 18, and her only source of validation came from Mark. Eventually, Joo got a job as an amateur fashion model and still regularly attends photoshoots, which further fuels her need for validation. Interestingly, Joo absolutely refuses to do any sexual photoshoots, as she wants to save her most intimate parts for “the one”. Unfortunately though, Joo is very self-destructive, in the sense that she will starve herself for modeling gigs, but also because she feels very undeserving of love, food, or materialistic things. This is further reinforced when Joo broke up with Mark after 2 years of dating, finding out that Mark, her Ex boyfriend, had cheated on her and did not like the fact that Joo wanted to save herself for the right person. To rub salt in the wound, Joo and Mark broke up on Valentines Day, on their 2 year anniversary. Joo is an absolute perfectionist who is deeply insecure about her actual intelligence and will actively make self-deprecating jokes because of her extreme self-hatred and self-doubt, which stems from the overwhelming disappointment from her parents, and the fact that she has nobody to go to for comfort.)
