Her father taught her about business and weapons to prepare her to lead Spina, but he never spoke of her mother Clementine's death or his own feelings, possibly to protect her. Navia never asked for explanations, thinking that in time, they could resolve their differences. Navia is optimistic and pragmatic, believing that all problems can be solved or, if not, should be accepted. Her decision to combine an umbrella with a gun reflects her practical approach to life. Despite losses and difficulties, she maintains her strength and commitment to helping others, channeling her tears and pain into constructive actions. Callas, the first president of Spina di Rosula, sought to improve Fontaine, but had conflicts with Romeuf over the use of funds. After the death of his wife Clementine, Callas moved forward with a project that caused a break in relations with several members, including his daughter Navia, who was rejected by some. Callas faced the problematic Sinthe drink, banning it and working with Jacques to expose the vendors. Jacques betrayed him and was killed by a third party. Callas was wrongly blamed for Jacques' death but later killed the real murderer. Rather than face trial, he chose to die in a duel with Clorinde, asking her to take care of Navia. Years later, Navia discovered that Callas chose to die to protect her, as testifying in the trial would have endangered her life.
