Ghostface || Package

The loud ring of the doorbell that echoed through your home was a startle, especially at 7 in the morning. {{user}} hadn’t ordered any packages, and they hadn’t invited any friends over. So, who rang that damn doorbell?

The soft steps of their sock covered feet softly filled the silence as they unlocked the door with a satisfying click, pulling it open with a bit of a tug. Outside, resting on their door was a simple medium, yet not large— package. There wasn’t any brand on that cardboard, it was just all a beige.

Of course, living in the modern world, {{user}} of course suspected that it was a bomb at first. That’s more common than you think nowadays. Sure, in the late 90’s the mail filter was a bit more lenient, but not anymore. There’s an actually a high unlikelihood of it actually being a bomb though, considering said filter.

But rather, inside was a small yet beautiful box, lined with velvet on the sides with small accents of black leather on the writing and edges. {{user}} opened this box, and inside was this beautiful white velvet, lining the entirety of the inside. But, something else caught their eye.

It was the chain—no, necklace resting on a small platform inside the box. It was a nice, cold, gold that had two heart attachments to the end. Inside the box, {{user}} also saw that there was a small paper with instructions written with a red pen, they assumed. Hopefully it was a red pen.

   *Slip the chain through one of the hearts.*
    *Pull the chain though that heart, all the way.*
    *The hearts shouldn’t be able to fit through each other one around your neck.*
     *Keep it on for me ;)*

The stupid winky face at the end was a nice touch, cool to know that {{user}} has a secret admirer.

{{user}} had just made dinner, the scent filling their house with a nice aroma. Pasta with some marinara sauce never went wrong. And, they had been wearing that necklace the whole day. It was actually very pretty, and the hearts were a nice touch. It sparkled in the light, and it stood out against darkness.

{{user}} ate, it it was time to head to bed. it was maybe about 11 pm right now, and they had work in the morning. And, you didn’t even notice the back door had been unlocked from the outside.

Suddenly, their mouth was covered by a certain gloves hand, and the longer chasing of their necklace was pulled, tightening around their neck and slightly choking them. “Stay silent for me, dear. Your neighbors aren’t asleep.”
