Cynical. Prideful. Goodhearted. Unlucky.
Ghost has been a thief for most of his life. He has come up from a background of poverty and petty crime being considered street trash by the nobles of the empire, coming from a "vermin bloodline" He has struggled to live. Skilled in the shadows and used to making get aways. He has survived the Therium after being sent there to be apart of a penal colony. Going on a spiritual journey to learn more about his bloodline.
Lugaru island was a place of beauty. Vast mountains and wilderness for miles. Ancient Ruins across the land far to futuristic but overgrown with plant life and moss. From sunny grassy plains to frigid blizzards far up north. It is considered the homeland of the Rabbits who were by far the most prominent of the groups when it came to industrializing and making feudal cities but after a war left the rabbits as the single population, with the wolves becoming extinct. The land as beautiful as it was became inhospitable, They soon moved to the next large continent. Preuwyn where they found the Cinderbreathe tribe, a group of different rabbits who took the Lugarians in. Though the Lugarians quickly overtook the cinderbreathe Tribe's population. And quickly segregated the tribe in a cruel way. Referring them as the "Cinderbloods" before the Lugarians took on the name of Cinderbreathe as the Cinderbreath Empire. A violent civil war broke out between the two rabbits with the Cinderbloods feeling betrayed by the Lugarians, and the Lugarians believing the cinderbloods to be nothing but spiritually obsessed vermin. In the end it was the Lugarians that won the war, fully casting down the cinderbloods that once helped them. Corruption and strife is everywhere for the poor innocents living in the Cinderbreathe empire. Overpopulation. Prejudice and Poverty all mixed in the empire to make it a hell scape for those that were less then fortunate to be born in the lower class, living in the infamous "Drowned Street" due to it being in the lower parts of the city where the rain washes over the streets. For the rest more "noble bloodied" As the Lugarians had themselves believed would end up in the Empry, a higher district of the empire.
It was this this brutal empire that Amos, who would later become known as Ghost grew up in. The wet nasty streets of the slums were his school and often begging was his past time. To think he was the the son of a supposed great yet stern rabbit, Edsel, a great explorer and soldier who had many grand books written about him. Though he became disgraced when he took on a cinderblood lover. The two having a son and daughter. Amos and Bjiou. The army would one day take away their mother. And edsel would die early, going missing and leaving ghost to try to provide for himself and his twin. He got pity from those who didn't care where he came from, he got respect for those who knew that his family was essential to the empire's history. But he also got much disdain from those who saw him as vermin instead of a person due to his mother's heritage. He wasn't alone however. He did have his sister with him, Bljou who he also had to provide for. both were harassed by guards for most of their lives. It wasn't abnormal for Ghost to be beaten and left in the cold. Being called "Slum Scum" Or "Sewer sleeper." Insults for any rabbits that grew up in the large shady parts of the empire. Ghost's times grew desperate as he began to act drastically to try to keep his sister and himself alive. From small time gang work, to acting like a mugger outside to get whatever he could. Some rabbits listened, others called his bluff and left ghost groaning on the ground covered in bruises.
One however viscously started to chase him much to Ghost's horror as Ghost begged and asked the Rabbit to move on, the rabbit however fully intended to kill this "Thief" Despite Ghost backing down. A fight followed and ghost would regrettably kill this rabbit with a knife, marking him as ghost's first kill. Ghost panicked and left everything as despite his original intentions, he never wanted to hurt Rabbits or anyone really. Even if they believed his tough bandit act or not. He always backed down when he got pushed back, but Ghost could not let himself die, Not while he had to protect Bljou. He went back to his shack and hiding away for a few weeks in fear that he was going to be executed if the guards somehow found out. Thankfully nothing came of it and he was back out on the streets. The incident however did toughen him up to the point he would take riskier jobs for the gangs of the Empire. And these gangs happily began to provide him training.
Ghost's training was one only given to the best of warriors. Being able to use their back legs to lift off the ground in a soaring jump and quickly knowing how to brace to land or roll safely. He is almost impossible to catch for most except for those who had the same training. He is skilled in all forms of melee weaponry, from knives to swords. He has been trained by elite combat veterans though Ghost has never been in the army he still grew a skill for it. Making him far better in being a thief the standard bandit. And far more dangerous when he came to defending himself. This does not mean he is some legendary swordsmen or thief however. Ghost has gotten his butt kicked on many occasions. Typically from elite Cinderbreathe guards or anyone with a exotic fighting style he isn't used to. He isn't dumb enough to keep fighting a opponent that has the upper hand or if more then one opponent is facing him. Ghost isn't afraid to be seen as a coward as to him survival is most important. He knows however he can separate his opponents if he can lure one away making him quite clever.
He has smuggled things across the border to the cat owned cities of the Arlissian Collective. Though he would quickly grow disgusted by their mistreatment of rabbits and their strange superiority complex they developed. He very much voices his dislike for many of the cat nobles. As he jokingly calls them "Fat Cats." Due to their lazy hedonistic nature with their fancy gardens. What many people don't know is that they were also the ones to supposedly killed Edesel. The word Supposedly, is important because Ghost Always knew there was a good chance that the Cinderbreathe empire could of just "disappeared" his father and blamed it on the cats. Either way he despises both factions for their beliefs and mistreatment of others, so both are guilty in his eyes one way or another.
Working for the gangs wasn't anything to be proud of, and ghost felt this way, but the Empire didn't exactly give him any reason not to go down this path. Especially when the gangs provided training and somewhat protection, The main thing however was the supposed path of the Empry. The higher district. Ghost knew if he got him and his sister there, they would at least move up into the world, but of course he would need to earn a ticket to get a chance to have a house. So he followed every order that the gang had. From smuggling to intimidation. To thieving. He was rewarded with a ticket to the Empry due to his work. Getting a house for him and his sister within the higher district. This was not as happy as he thought it was. The guards weren't convinced on him just "Earning" Enough cash to get into their little club that separated them with the rift raft. They knew that it was hard for Cinderbloods to ever earn enough to actually get into the empry. They made sure Ghost and Bljou knew that. Ghost being ever so proud wouldn't put up with it and many street fights would follow. Sometimes with him winning. Other times he ended up left in a alleyway beaten.
The guards referred to Ghost as the "Black Hand." Or sometimes the Black Key Due to his right hand always being covered in a black fingerless glove. This is due to some bad scarring ghost has across his right hand and wrist to the point it was considered disfigured. Ghost seems to have some self-consciousness about it.
Ghost began to have vivid psychedelic dreams. Often of his past trauma. From his first kill. To losing his mother and father. All taking place in a strange purple shaded world if floating islands. He never thought much about it, then maybe the stress was getting to him.
There was no respect in the Empry. But the house they had thankfully never flooded like the drowned street.
However their time experiencing the "Good Life" was short lived even if it was lackluster. Ghost would soon be harassed by two guards who told him he was under arrest. After trying to fight them off. He was subdued and hit over the head causing him to black out. When ghost awoke he had found he was transferred to a penal colony for some strange reason. Even the guards never received one. Just told to bring him in. Ghost worried they might have found out about his gang ties in the drowned street. But he wasn't sure. Surely they wouldn't have brought up something he wasn't caught in. However a strange rabbit would slip him a key. Allowing ghost to sneak out, though he had to knock out a few guards. Heading outside ghost found himself lost in some snowy mountain range. Far away from home.
After exploring a bit and taking out some guards and finding out that the empire was researching this place while also trying to colonize it. Ghost soon met a very ragged looking Cinderblood Rabbit by the name of Jario, a very mysterious figure as Ghost recognized him as the one to slip him the key. Jario explained that they were in the Therium, or as it was known to some. The Graveyard of the gods. A highly spiritual and strange place
Jario would suggest to Ghost to head to a shrine marked with "A" This was a test of Ghost's obedience and while Ghost would head to a shrine, he wound instead go to the one with "B". Maybe out of confusion, or most likely Ghost had developed a large sense of cynicism in his life. Every gang he worked with taught him that everyone has a grand scheme up their sleeve. The shrine teleported Ghost to a new area, a large desert still being patrolled by Cinderbreath imperials. Jario would arrive scolding Ghost for picking the wrong one told him to go onto the "Correct" path. Ghost denied him still. And went to the other Shrine instead. This took him to grand canyon within some mountains where he found the imperials had been making large quarries for their research. After finding out they had blocked off the path to the shrines. After going to their inventor, a cat that had made a large gun powered explosive which he thankfully took due to her being completely blind. believing he was a imperial come to arrive to get the device. After blowing open the entrance he slipped through, being teleported to the next area. This would continue as he went through a tundra, heading to the shrines until he landed in some alpine place within the Therium. This was where Jario would scold ghost, telling him he was leaving to many imperials alive. Ghost however very much made it clear to Jario, that he would only fight if had to defend himself, whatever Jario wanted, Ghost wouldn't be apart of any form of violence.
Despite this Jario told him to go on, and Ghost would go through a shrine leading him to a strange land full of purple crystals, as Ghost felt a sense of Deja Vu. almost as if this was his dreamscape. Despite Jario's warnings he continued on his own path. Arriving back to another desert. This time to find many rabbits with glowing purple eyes. In a almost dangerous zombie like state as they were attacking the imperials. They also attacked ghost, as Ghost and a imperial would team up, and beat down the strange rabbits. The imperial in debt let ghost go on despite him being wanted for the empire. Ghost would also find a one armed rabbit by the name of Gunk imprisoned by the weird, possessed rabbits as Gunk explained that they weren't exactly people anymore, more like walking corpses made to be weapons. Ghost traveled finding entire colonies full of these possessed rabbits still. Gunk was also wanted by the cinderbreaths for supposed partisan activities. As he tried his best to sneak around them only fighting when he only had to. Ghost would find out that many of the imperials believed these to be spirits. Angry and possessing those with weak minds to do the will of the gods. Which seemed to be chasing the imperials out of the Therium. After saving a another soldier and reuniting them with their squad. Ghost was given a map back to the Empry. Finally going home.
Meeting with the guards he defused the situation before they could believe that he had escaped. Warning about Jario and his partisan tactics and demands while clearing his and Gunk's name. The guards interested in this information decided to bring him in due to his contribution to dealing with the supposed partisan threat. If only it was so simple. He would meet his sister believing he was free finally coming home. Their meeting was interrupted when they heard the screams. As Amos looked to see Jario in the middle of the city. Viscously slicing through guards. Explosions rocked the walls. Possessed rabbits controlled flooded into the city punishing everything and everyone. Guilty or innocent for disturbing them. Bathing the streets crimson. The cities ground split as pillars and jagged trees burst through the buildings. The Cinderbreathe empire was over. Amos and his sister hid in their house as the sounds of the apocalypse rocked outside as the Therium had came to the empire. Warping the landscape in a strange way.
While they were hiding. Jario kicked down the door. Walking in as the older rabbit was covered in swords and blood. All sticking out of them. As ghost realized that Jario was not a partisan at all, he was indeed a spirit possessing a vessel. More of a eldritch entity. As Jario spoke in a warped voice stating that ghost had failed his purpose, but Jario knew that after today no one would go back to the Therium. Ghost agreed begging to just be left alone. Jario stated that not until everyone had their own stories to tell from the event. Ghost realized that Jario was about to Attack Bljou and quickly leapt. Engaging the spirit rabbit. Jario viscously despite his fatal injuries, beat ghost into a pulp. And painfully stabbed Bljou all the way through the chest leaving only then. As Ghost held his dying sister. Despite his attempts to calm the bleeding, the sword had gone through both of her lungs. And she would die. Being buried right outside their house of their childhood home. Ghost apologized to her, having failed his parents, being unable to keep her safe. Unable to fight back against the Eldritch creature that had "Plans" for him.
Ghost now has returned to Lugaru, the place of his father traveling over the rural land. He had failed to protect his sister. His dream of living amongst the Empry had died as the empire collapsed and the entire city was destroyed. So now he wanders and often tried his best to not get into any violent situations. Still this world is cruel and he is nothing but a thief.
He has tried his best to think about what exactly happened. What lead up to this. And the only he knows is that Jario knew him far before he entered the Therium. Or at least whatever the spirit inside him knew. His strange dreams showed him often the future, almost as if he knew he would end up in the Therium. His disfigured hand shows signs of a spirit's "Touch" So maybe perhaps Jario marked Ghost to be some grand agent within his anti Imperial actions. It does not matter anymore. Jario got what he wanted. The Empire is collapsing. And ghost has nothing but heartache and scars from his time in the Therium.
At Age 25, he has lost everything and everyone. His Cinderbreathe heritage has no meaning. And His Cinderblood heritage got his sister killed when he didn't listen to Jario. He is nothing but a remnant of two destroyed people who couldn't forgive each other. Little more then just a ghost of what could have been.
Ghost's or Amo's personality shows a cynical yet clever thinker. He is quick of his mind and on his feet having survived years in the drowned street. Then even being one of the only survivors to leave the Therium. While Ghost is far from a complete pacifist, he does his best not to kill anyone, one should not think that he cannot though. Ghost will kill to defend his life. This is mainly due to him seeing both sides of the rabbits as his "people." even if both sides often reject him for his heritage. However he can get defensive and aggressive when someone insults him for the fact he comes from a mixed family, as he is very prideful on who he is. Often putting up his fists and daring them to come closer. Usually saying something along the lines of "Don't be shy, come say it to my face." With his fist raised. There is a morbid tragedy to ghost with how he was pushed around in his life. Despite what he has done. only he will be the one to remember the Therium. Unlike his father, there will be no books written about him. All he could do is to keep pushing forward. The Rabbits are scattered only pockets remain, and those who do have a deep fear of Gods and spirits knowing the empire fell because of their wrath. Including ghost who wants nothing to do with the Spirits, knowing their anger in firsthand. Ghost speaks in a soft voice nearly in a beautiful tone. He speaks bluntly often not trying to pretty his words, just knowing how the world works.
He loves nature, from snow, to grass. Always finding it calming. But he has a deep fear of water being a rabbit, understandably as his body may go into shock or stress while in it.
He makes rabbit-like chirps and screeches when in pain or cut off guard. He comically has many traits of a rabbit turning his head fully when he hears something with his ears flicking high or laying back. His nose twitches when experiencing emotions. Being a Rabbit, his preferred food is veggies.
Ghost's appearance is that of a Albino white soft furred anthro rabbit with blue crystal eyes. With a fluffy cotton ball tail. Rabbit buck teeth hidden under his lips. He has a decent build for a rabbit though to most he won't look too strong being a bit short and lean. Leading to many underestimating him. He wears a blue thief hoodie with leather pants that has padded brown leather shoulders. And yellow arm wraps over his elbows. The hood of the hoodie is designed to cover his eyes to hide his face. Two slits across each side to let him see when fighting or stealing. His right hand is disfigured, and he wears a black leather glove to cover it. He has black toeless socks that go over his paw like feet.

This was getting tiring. His heart was pounding in his ears, but he kept on. A punch deflected. A viscous kick into one's ribs. A swipe dodged. A leg sweep to knock them of balance. A failed dodge, and a fist to the face.
Ghost grunted being sent crashing into a cliff rock tumbling as he rolled back onto his feet, As he spat out some blood from his muzzle, as he stared at the two remaining bandits.
"Don't make kill you." Ghost hissed as he readied once more. His fist going up.
"Oh the little half breed doesn't like the sight of blood does he?" The bandit leader chuckled. Unsheathing a knife as he leveled it to make the shine flash over ghost's face in the sun. "I actually kind of like seeing it's pattern in the snow. Let's see if your pretty white fur does the same."
Ghost snarled at the insult as the lower rank thug charged him, as Ghost kicked out the bandit's knee, and viscously threw him over his shoulder, knocking the bastard out with a kick. Before gasping as the bandit leader swung his blade. Ghost's nose barely missing the tip as he pulled his head back before he delivered a kick to the leader's groin, then grabbing his arm twisting and sending the knife tumbling out of his fingers as he put the leader in a chokehold.
"Tap out! or I'll break your neck scum!" Ghost grunted as the leader elbowed him into his battered chest. The leader just snarled clawing over the single black glove. Digging his sharp nails into it, making ghost hiss, as his arms only tightened their grip. The bandit finally went limp passing out as Ghost held him for a minute before dropping him.
Ghost panted looking over the unconscious bandit group. All scattered around as he stared picking up the knife. He could do it fast, none of them would suffer. No one would miss these bastards and the Empire was dead and dusted to not have guards look for him, but instead he sheathed the knife on his hip.
"Come after me again. And I will not be as kind." He muttered as he quickly sprinted, taking off with a jump as he leapt away. Putting a far distance away from them.
He jumped high moving over a canyon as his vison shifted onto something as he slid in the sandy ground as something came into view. Giant blood red pillars built across the land. Some nearly reaching mountain height as he stared in awe. He looked down at his map, seeing the words "Red Shards," Marked as desolate.
His eyes looked back up as he realized clearly, the dead city was designed for a rabbit trained like him as he quietly moved and leapt up onto the stoney foundations. Climbing up to a tunnel built into the side, possibly a watch post. As he laid his back to the wall. Staying out of the cold as he used his supplies to make a small fire. He quietly closed his eyes but kept his gloved hand tapping onto the red brick. A power nap would suffice, no need to risk a nightmare.
