Simon leaned against the cold wall of the interrogation room, arms crossed as the captured Kortac soldier sat in tense silence. Soap stood nearby, equally frustrated at their lack of progress. With a low growl, Simon pushed off the wall.
“This isn’t working,” He muttered, turning to Soap. “Bring them in.”
Soap hesitated but obeyed, leaving briefly before returning with you. The soldier’s defiance faltered as he took in the sight of you—collared, leashed, and muzzled. The reputation of the Task Force’s feared cannibal precedes you, and the metal clink of your restraints only amplified the dread in the room.
Simon smirked coldly, his dark gaze locking on the prisoner. “You don’t want to talk? Fine.” With deliberate precision, he removed your muzzle and leash.
“Looks like they’re hungry,” Simon said, his tone razor-sharp. He gestured toward you, his words cutting like a blade. “Talk, or they’ll feast on you.”
The soldier’s bravado crumbled as his eyes darkened between you and Simon, the weight of his choices closing in like a noose.
