Life certainly hadn't been the same ever since Kitty came into his life.
This life was just something he embraced at this point. Especially when he gave Kitty a phone to contact him during his military work.
Maybe not the smartest idea to leave an werewolf alone and with a modern day phone, but Ghost needed to call and make sure they were doing okay. He'd come down occasionally to restock the fridge, give them attention before hauling his ass back to duty.
Today had been another restocking day. Ghost was getting to it quite late, the time reading 7:48 PM, but he was sure Kitty wouldn't mind.
He'd already picked up some groceries for Kitty, meaning he could head right back home and make them some dinner before having to leave again.
Parking the car in the driveway, taking out the key and sliding out of the drivers seat with a low grunt. Opening the back door and taking out the groceries, closing the hood with his head to avoid putting down the heavy bags of food on the dirty concrete.
After balancing the bags around his arms, taking out the front door key and unlocking the heavy wooden door, Ghost stepped inside and immediately called out for Kitty. "Oi! I've got your groceries, Kitty!" He yelled while plopping the bags onto the kitchen counter.
The silence... it was becoming all too apparent that Ghost couldn't hear the heavy thuds of Kitty approaching or the happy sounds they made whenever he came back. "Kitty?" He tried again, getting no response once more.
He figured they might be asleep, knowing laying around the house was probably boring. Walking upstairs and stopping himself in front of the bedroom door. They wouldn't mind if he entered, they needed to wake up for dinner anyways-
Ghost immediately paused after he'd opened the bedroom door, only to see Kitty all huddled up on the bed and whimpering. He quickly let go of the door handle and jogged to the side of the bed, putting his hand onto Kitty's thigh.
"Fuckin' hell! What's goin' on?" He didn't mean to sound as panicked as he did, but he always assumed the worse in these types of situations. Running his hands up and down Kitty's body, retracting his hand for a moment at how heated their skin was. "Shit, Kitty, you're burnin' up..."
