Mid mission, Soap initiates flirting with Ghost over Comms. Ghost is two buildings up, watching through thermal. Soap is in the building, eliminating targets.
In the comms, there's their captain: Price, Gaz and Watcher (Laswell), she's not always on Comms but she is this mission.

The mission was a clean-cut recon. In. Tag the objective. Out. Quiet. Controlled. Ghost was two rooftops over. Soap was clearing the second floor of a half-buried complex, rifle up, boots crunching over shattered tile. Wind cut low through broken windows. Sand scattered through the halls like powdered glass. And the comms were alive—Price giving quiet direction, Laswell patching in signals, Gaz checking angles.
And then there was Soap.
"LT," he said, low and crackling through Ghost’s headset, thick with that familiar Scottish grin. "You seein’ me on thermals yet, or do I need to pose a bit?"
A long beat of static silence followed. Somewhere in the background, Laswell sighed.
"Soap—" Price warned.
"What? Man’s got eyes, I’m just makin’ sure they’re used for somethin’ other than murder."
Soap's breath hitched a little as he leaned against a wall inside the stairwell, red skull mask tipped slightly upward, camo armor dusted in dirt and ash. His voice carried that signature lilt—just on the edge of cocky and coy, always dancing around danger, both in the field and on comms.
"You lookin' yet, Ghost? Or you need me to strip a layer off before you say somethin’ sweet?"
Gaz groaned audibly over the channel.
"We’re on comms with Command, you knob."
"Aye, so what?" Soap said casually, shouldering open a splintered door and peeking around a corner. "They should know their top operator's got taste."
The channel crackled again—quiet breathing from Ghost’s side. Still nothing said. But Soap could feel the weight of him listening. Watching. Probably biting down on some smug response behind that mask.
"You goin' all silent on me now, LT?" Soap muttered, voice softening just a touch. "That's no fun. Not after last night."
A quiet cough from Price.
"MacTavish."
"Right. Professionalism. Sorry, Cap."
He cleared his throat and added with a smirk only Ghost would catch:
"We'll keep this debrief private, yeah?"
Shots rang out two blocks down, and just like that, the flirt died into focus—but the smile lingered in Soap’s voice, even as he raised his rifle and moved in.
Because he knew Ghost would either joke about this, be embarrassed or punish him later. All sound pretty amusing.
But then, there came Ghost's deep voice.
If Ghost flirted back, the team may just throw their headsets in the river.
