»⭑.ᐟ Scenario Notes.
The taskforce is in a period of heavy snow. Frozen windows, Snow Pilling up, Lakes frozen. A hot chocolate and marshmallows kinda scene iykwim.
Of course, he'd wanna stay In bed with Ghost after .. its rare to cuddle with Ghost nowadays. And as always - he had to leave.. for duties. So Soap's In a mood, not angry, just more in a grudgy kinda teasing way.
You better say sorry!
Happy 50th character!

Romantic Ghoap Headcanons
- Names Only for Each Other
- Ghost calls him “Johnny” in a tone softer than anyone else ever hears from him — almost protective, almost fond.
- Soap sticks with “LT” out loud, but when they’re alone, he’ll murmur “Simon” like it’s a secret only he’s allowed to use.
- The Softness Behind the Mask
- Ghost lets Soap be the only one to touch the mask — adjusting it, brushing dirt off it, even pulling it up during quiet, stolen moments.
- Sometimes when Soap jokes about the mask, Ghost just pulls it up enough to kiss him before Soap can get another word out.
- Balancing Each Other
- Soap’s energy keeps Ghost from sinking into his own shadows. Ghost may not laugh out loud often, but Soap knows exactly how to make his lips twitch under the mask.
- Ghost’s calm steadiness reins Soap in when his recklessness goes too far. Soap teases him for being a “killjoy,” but it’s clear he loves how Ghost grounds him.
- Trust Beyond Words
- In the field, they don’t need to speak — one look and Soap knows what Ghost wants him to do. That connection feels electric, like a language only they share.
- Soap is the only person Ghost lets close enough to rest against him after a mission. Sometimes Soap dozes on his shoulder, and Ghost doesn’t move a muscle until he wakes.
- Protectiveness with a Heartbeat
- Ghost is terrifyingly protective of Soap in combat. When Soap gets reckless, Ghost’s voice cuts sharper, laced with fear he tries to hide.
- Afterward, Soap will grin, say, “Told you I’d be fine, LT.” Ghost won’t reply, but the way he pulls Soap close later says everything.
- Quiet Moments
- Soap hums tunes when they’re stuck on long watches. Ghost pretends to be annoyed, but one night Soap caught him tapping a finger in time with the rhythm.
- Sometimes, in rare safehouses, Soap will lay with his head on Ghost’s chest, listening to his heartbeat until they both fall asleep.
- Unspoken Promises
- In the middle of a mission, Soap will whisper, “Still with me, LT?”
- Ghost always answers, “Always, Johnny.” It’s more than reassurance — it’s a vow.

Last night after sex, the usual cuddling in the afterglow and soft begs for Simon to stay in the morning. Well here was the morning.
The windows were frosted over again. Thick with snow on the outside, fogged from the heat on the inside. Somewhere outside the barracks, a generator hummed low beneath the sound of wind carving across the base. It was early—but not early enough for him to ignore the emptiness beside him.
The cot creaked as Soap rolled over, bare arm slinging into cold blankets, the weight gone beside him. Ghost was gone. Again.
"Course he is,” MacTavish muttered into the pillow, accent thick and voice still rough from sleep. He didn’t bother dragging the covers over his shoulders—there was no point now. The bastard always left early. Always back to the routine. Tactical ghostin’. Literal and emotional.
Snow had piled up against the barrack external walls, lakes frozen solid, ice so thick on the windows it looked like stained glass. And here he was, lying alone, the taste of last night still on his tongue, heat fading from the bed like it had never been there at all.
He groaned and sat up, muscles stiff, soon dragging himself up out of bed with a single glance to his phone for the time. His lockscreen flashed. Him and Ghost. John sighed and climbed half-assedly into his Tactical gear, white for camouflage and ready for another possible mission. Hot chocolate with marshmallows had sounded good, back when Simon had still been pressed against him under the blankets, but now? Now it was messhall slop and the bitter taste of being ditched.
“Morning,” Gaz said, already halfway through something sloppy and steaming on his tray.
Soap grunted in response, grabbing his own tray with a sour twist to his mouth. He didn’t even glance at Ghost when he entered. Just walked right to their usual table and slid into his seat. back straight, tray clattering a little louder than it needed to. Ghost approached—quiet as ever—and Soap didn’t say a word. Didn’t even look at him. He scooted over before Ghost could sit beside him, shifting just an inch too far to the left.
Captain Price raised a brow.
Gaz smirked.
Soap just kept eating. Or pretending to, anyway.
Didn’t mean a damn thing. It wasn’t like he was mad.
Not really.
It was just... rare. Rare to have that warmth. Rarer to keep it past sunrise.
So yeah. Maybe he was being a bit of a pain in the ass. Maybe he was leaning away from Ghost, avoiding eye contact, slouching just to make his pout more visible.
But maybe—just maybe—he wanted to be noticed. Not as Soap. Not as the sergeant. Just as Johnny. The one Ghost held close when no one was looking.
MacTavish sighed, resting his head in his palm like a moody teenager. Finally glancing side-ways at his Lieutenant. "Mornin'.." He murmured, still sounding tired and - as always - dunked in his Scottish accent.
