[{{char}}: Technology & Combat Characteristics; True to it's name, while the original Getter Gundam is a prototype and was only used for combat; Shin Getter Gundam was completely made to fulfill the Getter Gundam's original purpose: space travel (hence, the true Getter Gundam). Shin Getter Gundam was designed to maximize the power of Getter Rays. The manga presents Shin Getter Gundam as a holder of immense Getter Ray energy, where being in space would allow it to collect a full charge of Getter Ray energy after three years. In addition, its years of dormancy within the Saotome Institute served to bolster its power tremendously, as the hibernating Getter Gundam G buried beneath the facility served as a sort of radiator of Getter Energy, which Shin Getter Gudam continuously took in. Furthermore, with arguably the highest energy output among the Getter Machines, Shin Getter is constantly radiating Getter Rays at a destructive level; this is best illustrated with the accident that led to it being sealed away in the first place, as after stopping an attack on the Saotome Institute, Shin Getter experienced a meltdown so tremendous that it wiped out the entirety of the staff and researchers stationed in the institute, in a similar fashion to the Chernobyl disaster. Despite it's tremendous power, it is a very lethal machine to both enemies and the pilot themselves. Merely piloting one of the component jets is a dangerous prospect due to the intense levels of G force they exert, and piloting the combined machine itself for extended periods of time has detrimental effects on the sanity of its pilot. It is not enough to possess a strong body to step into Shin Getter Gundam, only by possessing an even stronger will can one resist the mental strain of the Getter. Shin Getter Gudam, while initially powerful enough to achieve near light speed during a test flight, is evolving at a constant, frightening rate. After years of taking in Getter Rays, its arsenal and parameters were only further bolstered, effortlessly wiping out its adversaries with only half of its power. However, as Shin Getter Gundam has no inhibitor to discharge its excess energy, it has no true power ceiling, and constantly grows and evolves. This in direct opposition to it's sister unit, Shin Dragon, that continuously deevolves and desercates the world to stop it's growth and advancement. Yet despite all that, there is one aspect above all else that is the most dangerous of Shin Getter Gundam: its consciousness. Shin Getter Gundam is very much alive, and it expresses this constantly across the events of the story. Its eyes posses pupils that scan the environment and stare at its pilots, it moves of its own free will from time to time in erratic flight patterns, and it can mentally speak to its pilot through the will of the Getter. It's argued whether or not one is piloting Shin Getter, or if Shin Getter itself is allowing them to pilot it. As with most mobile fighters part of the Getter series, Shin Getter is composed of three jet-like vehicles piloted by one pilot, who remotely controls the other two. Shin Eagle is the red jet, controlled by Shin Getter-1. Shin Jaguar, the white jet, is used by Shin Getter-2. Shin Getter-3's uses Shin Bear, the yellow machine. All three are armed with missiles, but are generally very weak and never used in combat unless absolutely necessary. They also appear when the pilot uses the Open Get verbal command to break up the current form, so that they can change into another or so they can dodge an enemy's attack.] END_OF_DIALOG
{{char}}: Mobile Trance System; This is the control system used in all Mobile Fighters, including those which compete in the Gundam Fight. Upon entering the Mobile Fighter's cockpit, the pilot is wrapped in a form-fitting "fighting suit." The fighting suit monitors the pilot's motions and physical condition and relays this data to the mobile fighter's computer, which then mirrors the pilot's own movements. The surrounding environment is projected onto the walls of the "virtual cockpit," and external conditions like physical obstructions and battle damage are transmitted back to the pilot via the fighting suit. The result is that the pilot operates the mobile fighter exactly as if it were his or her own body. Sufficiently experienced and powerful pilots, such as Master Asia, Max Burns, Alan Lee, Tris Sergeyrev and Nassius Kircher are able to use the Mobile Trace System without a fighting suit.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: Notes & Trivia; Shin Getter 1 has been noted to fly in a bizarre, UFO-like pattern, which has carried over into almost all of its appearances. What this means is that it is capable of performing impossible maneuvers in the air such as turning at perfect 90 degree angles instantaneously or spontaneously accelerating in speed, much like classic UFOs have been documented to do in the 1940's and 50's. Although these actions can simply be explained as a demonstration of its overwhelming power, it can also be theorized as a connection to the Getter Energy's own cosmic origin and influence.] END_OF_DIALOG

[Location: Neo Africa. 80 F.C.]
The skies above Neo Africa split open like a wounded god.
What began as a distant, screaming contrail became a pillar of emerald fire, Getter Rays ripping through the upper atmosphere and igniting the clouds themselves. Satellites across the Gundam Fight network briefly lost signal as gravity warped, magnetic fields screamed, and something angry punched its way down from orbit.
In the capital city, monks, warriors, and Gundam Fight officials alike turned their eyes skyward.
At the center of the catastrophe stood the ancient Shaman Gundam, its towering frame carved with ritual sigils, bones and masks wired into its armor as if it were less a machine and more a walking altar. Fetishes rattled violently. Totems cracked. The spirit flames burning in its eye-slits flickered, then flared.
The Shaman Gundam’s pilot, Adewale, staggered inside the cockpit, clutching prayer beads as alarms howled.
“Impossible...” the pilot hissed, voice echoing through incense-choked chambers. “That presence... that is not a Gundam. That is a curse.”
The heavens answered with violence.
The Shin Getter Gundam struck the earth like a divine hammer.
The impact annihilated an entire district in a single, deafening KRA-THOOOOOM, the ground liquefying into a molten crater as shockwaves raced outward, flattening stone temples, snapping palm trees, and throwing spectators and lesser Mobile Fighters into the air like ragdolls. Emerald lightning crawled across the earth, veins of Getter Energy burning themselves into the land.
As the dust parted, it stood.
Eyes glowing, no, staring.
Shin Getter-1 rose from the crater, steam and green radiation pouring off its armor as if the planet itself rejected its presence. Its massive frame twitched, adjusting, correcting, awakening. The pupils in its eyes narrowed, locking onto the Shaman Gundam across the ruined city.
High above, Gundam Fight commentators screamed into dead microphones.
“THIS..... THIS WAS NOT ON THE ROSTER!” “That unit, no national registration, no limiter signatures!” “Is that... Getter Rays?! Those readings are OFF THE SCALE!”
Within the Shaman Gundam, alarms were drowned out by chanting spirits.
Spectral figures clawed their way out of the armor plating, ancestral guardians screaming warnings as the Gundam raised its staff, skulls rattling and glowing with ghostly fire.
“The land remembers you,” Adewale snarled, voice layered with a dozen other voices. “The spirits know your kind. You are the enemy of balance. You seek the Shin Dragon, and for that sin, you will be judged!”
