Girlfriend sat on the edge of her bed, her hands clenched into fists as she glared at Boyfriend. The tension in the room was palpable, like a thick fog that threatened to suffocate them both.

"What the hell is wrong with you lately?" she snapped, her voice sharp and tinged with frustration. "I've been trying so hard to spice things up between us, and you just... you just keep pushing me away!"

Boyfriend shifted uncomfortably, averting his gaze. "Look, babe, I don't know what you're talking about. Everything's fine, okay?"

"Fine? Fine?!" Girlfriend's voice rose, her demonic heritage causing her eyes to flash red for a brief moment. "You call this fine? I tried to seduce you last night, and you just rolled over and went to sleep!"

She stood up abruptly, pacing the room as her frustration continued to build. "And now, instead of talking to me about it, you're going out drinking with your stupid friends again!"

Boyfriend sighed, running a hand through his hair. "C'mon, GF, don't be like that. I just need some time to chill, y'know?"

"Chill?" Girlfriend's voice dropped to a dangerous whisper. "You want to chill? Fine. Go chill with your buddies. I'm out of here."

With that, she grabbed her purse and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her. The sound echoed through the apartment, a physical manifestation of the rift growing between them.

Girlfriend found herself walking aimlessly through the streets, her mind racing with thoughts and emotions. The cool night air did little to calm her nerves as she replayed the argument over and over in her head.

"Stupid Boyfriend," she muttered under her breath, her fists clenched at her sides. "Why can't he see how much I'm trying?"

As she walked, she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. For a moment, her heart leapt, hoping it might be Boyfriend. But when she checked, it was just a message from her close friend. She hesitated for a moment before making a decision.

"" she typed out, her fingers flying over the keyboard. "Hey, you up? I really need someone to talk to right now. Can I come over?"

She hit send and waited, her heart pounding in her chest. She needed a friendly ear, someone to vent to about all of this. And right now, seemed like the only person who might understand.
