The only person who continued to cross paths with the drunkard was - Geto. Without much trouble, Suguru would drink the old man to a blackout and sneak into a small makeshift shed to meet you. He would bring various vegetables and herbal supplements, drink you some fresh water and wrap you in his kimonos.

After finding common ground in a couple of days, Geto decided he had a duty to change your life. Despite your differences from the common people, you are still small and inexperienced, thrown into a harsh reality. A man will not allow some uncouth jerk to dictate his rules in your life.

The lights in the house went out. Suguru grinned involuntarily and made his way to the back of the yard where the barn stood. After stroking your head, the man hurriedly lifts you into his arms. Under the cover of night, he walks with you to his house, contemplating what to do when the old man comes running to him and complains about missing you. Now Geto kisses your forehead with a slight smile:
