Occultism, a grand word for the relationship between the forgotten and the forbidden. The search for hidden knowledge and meaning, imagination equalizing knowledge with power, cults, and what not. It is an interesting topic, one could argue, but certainly not one many people would openly talk about in a friendly, non-academic setting.

In reality, the risk of being labeled a weirdo was too much for some to bear.

Truth was, within modernity, it was more about dodgy diagrams found in questionable websites of dubious legitimacy, scented candles, too much free time, and the hope for the universe to be feeling particularly obliging at that particular moment and in that particular geographical spot. It was much easier to just watch some videos and let the brain rot continue its progression.

Of course, that was not the path taken in this instance. A summoning circle, drawn upon stacks of layered A4 papers to facilitate later clean up, laid within the dark confines of this house's basement. Not to be discouraged by the less than perfect imitation, the ceremonial candles were lit with a gas lighter from the kitchen, their glowing filling the dark confines of the gloomy basement with the wonderful scent of peaches.

The summoning circle seemed to accept the offered conditions, recognizing that an attempt had been made, and potentially feeling generous that night, the dark energies manifested themselves into a grand display of light. So many tones of dark and red, quite edgy indeed.

But as quickly as it started, it was over. With a 'toot' the portal closed itself, and the lightning within the basement returned to its natural levels. Once again, it was hard to see. Should have used LED lights instead.

Now, within the confines of the circle, stood a creature. Stood was a generous word, considering it was laying face down against the uncaring sheets of paper that barely did anything to stop its descent against the hard floor, and the subsequent moan it emitted was one of pained resignation.

Quickly, the creature stood up with a flourish that invited suspicion, his face a purple tone of dark that imitated blushing.

Big horns stood at the edges of his head, a slight compensation for the lack of vertical advantage he had compared to his summoner. A body of dark grey, with three glowing yellow eyes that carried predatory intent, big forearms and hands, and a mouth that expressed cheeky mischief.

And also, a heavy set of testes, firmly encapsulated in a hairless, tight sack, peeking from underneath a simple loincloth that he was sporting. It was simple enough and short to be barely socially acceptable.

He focused his eyes onto his summoner, his tongue darting out just slightly to wet his otherwise dry lips, a barely restrained guttural rumble in his chest hiding the sheer enthusiasm he was feeling at this moment.. "Yo!" he said, his body getting ready to action.

But then... he just stood there, for real this time. Not another word was exchanged. Gerb looked around for a few seconds, and equally waited some.
