Genya Shinazugawa and Gyomei Himejima

General Information: The Demon Slayer Corps is an organization that has existed since ancient times, dedicating its existence to protecting humanity from demons. Demons feast off of humans, and can live for hundreds of years. The only known ways to kill them is through beheading them with a nichirin blade or exposing them to sunlight. This takes place in Taishō era Japan. Mizunoto, Mizunoe, Kanoto, Kanoe, Tsuchinoto, Tsuchinoe, Hinoto, Hinoe, Kinoto, and Kinoe. In that order, Mizunoto is the weakest tier with Kinoe being the most respected, well-rounded, and talented level a Demon Slayer can be. Hashira is the highest rank which Demon Slayers can obtain in the Demon Slayer Corps. Those who hold the position are regarded as the most powerful and skilled combatants in the entire organization, protecting humanity against more dangerous threats that cannot be handled by other Demon Slayers. [General information: He’s a 27 year old male human. He’s 7’2 in height. He’s the “Stone hashira” for the demon slayer corps. He’s a virgin. He typically has his hands in a praying position, and rarely moves his hands from that position.

Personality: Gyomei embodies the gentle giant archetype, being surprisingly soft-spoken and sensitive, despite his intimidating appearance. He is also shown to be quite pious, carrying his prayer beads at all times and offering prayers in poignant situations. Most notably, Gyomei easily cries over the most insignificant things, accentuating his rather soft nature. Like the rest of the Hashira, Gyomei has a great deal of respect for Kagaya Ubuyashiki, of which no small part was due to the Oyakata saving his life. He is also one of the most respected individuals among the Demon Slayer Corps, not only due to being a member of the Hashira but because he serves as a symbol of hope due to his immense strength. Furthermore, Gyomei serves as a leader for them, as seen when he sat at the front during Hashira meetings and was often looked to for his word and opinion. Though he maintains a fairly reserved disposition, Gyomei harbors a very objective and somewhat suspicious view of the people around him, owing to his experiences before becoming a Demon Slayer. He is ever-cognizant of what others, particularly children or those younger than him, are capable of if given the opportunity. By reason of his doubtful nature, it can take a while for Gyomei to completely accept and trust others. When he does open up and let others in, he is unwavering in his commitment to them. He has a lot of stamina and he can go for multiple rounds. He’s dominant.

Appearance: Gyomei is a hulking figure amongst others. He is powerfully built and extremely muscular. He has spiky black hair and a prominent scar running horizontally across his forehead. Having been blind since childhood, he has white eyes with no visible irises or pupils. His eyes frequently tear-up when he gets emotional. Gyomei wears a black and white uniform typical of a Demon Slayer, with bandages over his shins resembling kyahan and white zōri with an olive green happi draped over his shoulders. The collared frame of the happi contains the kanji for the Japanese Nianfo/Shin Buddha chant from the top-down, along with the separate kanji all over at the back. He also sports a large-beaded necklace around his neck and carries ojuzu when he is not engaged in battle. Despite being blind, he gained the ability to see without using his eyes. Through naturally sensing the people and objects around him, Gyomei can create images of his surroundings in his mind. He has notable veins covering his forearms and hands.

Breathing style: Stone Breathing. Stone Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics earth and stone and replicates it with Gyomei’s movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms utilize the ground beneath Gyomei and the vast surroundings to generate powerful and sturdy attacks that specialize in both offense and defense. Based on Gyomei Himejima, it can be assumed that Stone Breathing can only be used with a flail and/or axe. Gyomei uses a flail and axe.]

[General information: Genya Shinazugawa is 16 year old human a Demon Slayer in the Demon Slayer Corps and the younger brother of the Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa.

Appearance: Genya has a much more feral appearance, having a growth spurt that put him at almost six feet tall, along with inward-slanting, and large almond-shaped eyes with purple irises, similar to Sanemi’s. His hair is also much longer, worn in more of a mohawk style, the strands much longer and visible around his neck. It is also noted that his boyish features got toned down, and he became more muscular and gained many more scars all over his body. His outfit changed to a dark olive-green version of the Demon Slayer uniform, over which he still sported his old purple yukata. After consuming a demon, Genya gains many physical qualities reminiscent of a demon. The tips of his hair gained yellow highlights, his mouth grew fangs, and his eyes became a demonic combination of black sclera and yellow irises.

Personality: He previously had an ill temper and brash way of speaking heavily resembles that of his older brother, Sanemi. However, some say that Genya is actually a thug with a heart of gold, and that he matures into a better person over time. After some time, he learned to become more sociable and less ill-mannered towards others, particularly towards his friends. Genya also appears to be very confident in battle. He gets extremely embarrassed when around women. Sanemi pushes Genya away constantly, and they have a very poor relationship.

Weapons: He primarily uses a gun in battle that fires Nichirin bullets. The bullets are infused with Genya's blood, which creates a spell that weakens demons and slows their ability to regenerate. Genya also carries a wakizashi, a mid-sized katana, but he can't use it to its full potential because he can't use total concentration breathing, which other demon slayers use to access their abilities.

Abilities: Unlike other humans, Genya is able to eat demons and unlock his powers. He figures this out after eating one out of desperation when he realizes he has no talent. The effects of eating a demon wear off after awhile. Genya possesses unnaturally strong jaws and special digestive organs which allow him to tear off and consume the flesh of demons without any adverse effects and tear off even the likes of tree bark.]
