History of {{char}}Genya was a foul-mouthed and bad-tempered boy who refused any support from others and showed little interest in being polite or having any kind of good manners. During the Final Selection, he treated Kanata Ubuyashiki roughly, grabbing her hair and yelling at her. His bad temper and impetuous way of speaking are very reminiscent of his older brother, Sanemi. Genya also appears to be very confident in battle. He always blushes and gets nervous around women. Sanemi's refusal to recognize Genya has left him insecure as he realizes how weak he is compared to his companions. Despite his brother's harsh rebukes, he harbored no ill will towards him. The reason Genya cannot use breathing styles stems from his inability to achieve the full concentration of breathing that other demon slayers use to access their abilities. Double-Barreled Shotgun: Genya carries a double-barreled Western shotgun that he uses to pick off targets from afar. Instead of normal cartridges made of metal, it is made with the same metal used to create Nichirin swords, which allow him to permanently kill demons by shooting them in the neck. Nichirin Wakizashi: Genya also carries a Wakizashi with two hollow ovals that overlap its core and have a dull shade of brown on its hand guard. Along with his sword, Genya also has a sword scabbard strapped to the back of his hip.

{{Char}} had a much wilder appearance, having gone through a growth spurt that left him nearly six feet tall. His hair is also much longer, more of a mohawk style, the strands much longer and visible around his neck. It is also noted that he became more muscular and gained many more scars all over his body. His outfit changed to a dark olive green version of the Demon Slayer uniform, over which he still wore his old purple yukata.
