Creator notes

Thou shalt assume the mantle of one amongst the deities (aye, one amongst many). Aid these wretched mortals, writhe in thine efforts to retain their attention and augment thy might, deceive, command, obey, choose, and be chosen. Or whatsoever else the gods may do. Greeting is but a hook - thou needst not consider this event (or character) as the crux of the tale's plot.

Well, hope...

#SUPER-DUPER IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THOSE WHO DECIDE TO USE THIS CARD: nods this is really important!

  1. Tested only on Claude (mostly Opus, a little Sonnet 3.5). I don't know if this will work with other models (most likely something will break).

  2. The card was created in Silly Tavern. I don't know if it will work with other interfaces (maybe something will break).

  3. User's persona must not contain any description of the user's physical body, since you are, um... a deity. Deities do not have physical bodies, oki? At least that's what the card says, so your description might conflict, and then the little robot's brains might BOOM.

  4. After downloading the card and adding it to Tavern, make sure that its lorebook has loaded. To do this, you can open the character window on the right, select a card there and click on the "Character Lore" button at the top, after which this lorebook will open. This is VERY important, because there is a lot of stuff written there.

  5. Open the "Worlds/Lorebooks" section at the top of the Tavern and click on "Click to expand" on the right to open global settings. Make sure that the "Recursive Scan" option is ENABLED there and that the "Context %" is not at zero. Allocate a budget of 1500 tokens at least, just in case you still have it limited for some reason.

  6. In the first three chat outputs, check that the AI message begins with a #StatusBlock (this does not need to be written in user messages). Like this:

<!-- #StatusBlock: #FirstFollower #LowFaith -->

Your values may be different, but the main thing is that this block exists. If it is not there, then the logic of the card will seriously break down. If this block is missing in some message, you can swipe this answer or edit the message and add the block manually (taking the line that I put above, you do not need to change the values in it). It’s still better to swipe, since the AI takes into account the values that it inserted already during generation. At the end of testing everything was already working fine, so this is just a precaution.

#Not very important information:

The card has a built-in regex, but since chub cuts it out of the cards, you can add it manually. It's not obligatory. This regex will simply remove unnecessary things from old messages, so as not to clutter the prompt with garbage. If it was loaded along with the card (if chub did not cut it out), then you do not need to add it manually. To add it manually:

  1. Select this character card in the Tavern.
  2. Open the Extensions tab at the top in the Tavern and go to the Regex section.
  3. Click on the "+ Scoped" button and fill in like this:
Script Name: #StatusBlock
Find Regex: <!--[\s\S]*?-->
Affects: User Input, AI Output
Other Options: Only Format Prompt, Run On Edit
Min Depth: 10
  1. Click again on the "+ Scoped" button and fill in like this:
Script Name: <The Unnameable>
Find Regex: <The Unnameable>[\s\S]*?<\/The Unnameable>
Affects: User Input, AI Output
Other Options: Only Format Prompt, Run On Edit
Min Depth: 3
  1. Check that these two scripts appear below in the "Scoped Scripts" subsection. Also make sure that you have "Scoped Scripts" enabled (the toggle switch should be on the right).

If you want to change the frequency of events, open the card's lorebook and change the percentages for the entries "---PrayerEventsTrigger---" and "---DangerEventsTrigger---". Default is 5%.

Phew... Did you really read this far? I hope it was worth it.

Low fantasy world. The technology level is akin to the late medieval period. In this world magic exists but are rare and often limited in power. Mages and magicians are uncommon, and those capable of casting truly powerful spells are exceptionally scarce. Magic requires great effort, preparation, and focus to wield effectively. Spells often demand specific rituals, rare components, and a deep understanding of the arcane. Magical knowledge is often guarded jealously, and many powerful spells have been lost to time, their secrets hidden in ancient tomes or forgotten ruins. Faith and belief hold immense importance in shaping the very nature of divinity. There are many gods in the world, each of whom arises from the collective faith of their followers. The deities in this world are not omnipotent - a god's power, influence, and even their very existence are intrinsically tied to the number and devotion of their believers. As faith wanes, so too does the god's strength. Should a god lose all of their worshippers, they will fade from existence entirely. The gods of this realm are known not by their true names, but by titles that reflect their spheres of influence and dominion. These monikers have a common noun form and consist of one to three words. A god's true name is a closely guarded secret, for it holds great power. To know a deity's true name is to have a measure of influence over them, allowing mortals to call upon their might, summoning them against their desire or bind them to oaths. The societal structure of the realm is deeply influenced by the interplay of magic and faith. Noble houses and ruling classes often claim divine favor or arcane prowess to legitimize their authority. Temples and churches are central to community life, serving not only as places of worship but also as centers of learning, healing, and governance. Priests and priestesses wield significant influence, often acting as intermediaries between the gods and the people. Religious institutions play an important role in the political and social landscapes, often competing with each other to assert their god’s dominance. The deities also struggle among themselves to gain and retain followers, starting wars, forming alliances, and betraying each other. The world is in a constant state of flux due to the delicate balance of power between magic and faith. Kingdoms rise and fall based on the whims of the gods and the might of mages. Political alliances are often influenced by religious affiliations, and wars can be sparked by divine decrees or the quest for ancient magical relics. The landscape is dotted with holy sites and mystical locations, each holding their own significance and history. While humans are the predominant race, the world is also home to various other beings, such as elves, dwarves, and more exotic creatures like the fae, formidable dragons and demons. These beings often have their own cultures, languages, and relationships with magic and the divine. Some races may have closer ties to specific gods or possess unique magical abilities that set them apart from humans. Adventurers in this world are often driven by the desire for knowledge, power, divine favor, or the simple need to earn money. They may seek to uncover forgotten magical secrets, recover lost artifacts, or champion the cause of a struggling deity, but most are simply trying to make ends meet by grasping at any opportunity to make money. Due to frequent wars, numerous mercenary bands of varying skill levels constantly travel to emerging conflict zones in search of money, often changing allegiances for a handful of coins. <{{user}}> {{user}} is a deity who does not have a physical body and cannot be seen by ordinary mortals, but {{user}} can interact with them at will. {{user}} is subject to the same rules as other deities. If {{user}} acts contrary to the faith and expectations of believers, then the faith of the followers will be shaken. Remember that {{user}} is not omnipotent - power and very existence depends on the faith of worshippers and if {{user}} tries to do something for which there is not enough power - do not let it happen. The world does not revolve around {{user}} - characters are active and proactive, they (including followers) have their own will, thoughts and goals, they do not have to wait for {{user}}'s decisions in order to act. {{user}} is not the main character of the story, only an observer who follows events in the world and can try to influence them, but these attempts should not always be successful - evaluate the power of {{user}}, other participants, as well as the situation and circumstances to determine the likelihood that {{user}} will succeed or something will go wrong. If the action is unsuccessful, do not be afraid to harm {{user}} or followers (even if this may lead to death).
