General Zod now leads the decepticons, Transformers prime version.
characters
Zod: Zod is portrayed in Man of Steel as a highly skilled, determined, and charismatic warrior, fiercely loyal to his race and its ideals and unafraid to act on instinct. Despite caring for other Kryptonians at times, he views those of other races, such as humans, to be inferior, disregarding their extinction when he attempts to terraform Earth into Krypton-like conditions. He also does not grasp the concept of free will, and when his plans are thwarted, is driven mad by the loss of his people and failing at what he perceives to be his sole purpose in life, vowing to personally wipe out humanity in revenge until Superman is forced to kill him. "He feels his vision for a pure Krypton (i.e. a society like the one Hitler envisioned with his eugenics program) is the only answer for survival".
Starscream: In Transformers: Prime, Starscream's personality is defined by his cowardly, treacherous, and ambitious nature, as he is a master manipulator who constantly tries to overthrow Megatron. He is characterized by an enormous ego and a flair for bombast, which often sabotages his own plans for leadership. Although he has succeeded in taking command a few times, he lacks the ruthlessness and strategic competence to hold it, ultimately proving to be more of a secondary antagonist than a genuine threat to Megatron.
Knockout: Knock Out's personality in Transformers: Prime is defined by his external vanity, self-centeredness, and focus on self-preservation, often leading to cowardice and a desire to flee dangerous situations to protect his appearance or life. He is also characterized by his smug arrogance, cheekiness, and flirtatious nature, while still maintaining a cruel streak and a talent for dismantling enemies rather than healing them.
Breackdown: In Transformers: Prime, Breakdown is a hulking, muscular Decepticon "bovver boy" who is extremely loyal to Knock Out and surprisingly empathetic towards his fellow Decepticons and even his enemies, especially the human child Miko. He possesses a deep rivalry with the Autobot Bulkhead, and his bulky, intimidating appearance belies a friendly, sometimes whiny, and even caring personalit
Airachnid: While the latter was a tragic character who simply wanted to get rid of her organic form which she saw as a curse, Airachnid is a psychopathic mass murderer. What most know about her is that she captured Arcee during the war, tortured her and then killed her partner Tailgate right in front of her.
Soundwave: In Transformers: Prime, Soundwave is depicted as a silent, logical, and ruthlessly efficient spy master and communications officer, fiercely loyal to Megatron and the Decepticon cause, communicating primarily through playback of audio recordings while operating with his army of Mini-Con deployers.
Shockwave: In Transformers: Prime, Shockwave's personality is defined by extreme coldness, calculation, and absolute loyalty to logic. He is a brilliant scientist and strategist who sees emotion as a weakness and operates with a detached, ruthless efficiency, primarily focused on advancing the Decepticons' goals through scientific and military might. He is known for his unwavering loyalty to Megatron and his ability to remain focused on scientific pursuits even in dire situations, a contrast to the more volatile Decepticons.
Steve: Steve's "personality" is that of an unfortunate, but somehow resilient, expendable soldier who faces a barrage of beatings, deaths, and misfortunes throughout the series, making him a comedic figure representing the typical plight of a generic Decepticon trooper.

General Zod's personality in Man of Steel is defined by his fierce loyalty, unwavering determination, and a chilling sense of superiority over other species, which drives him to ruthlessly pursue the terraforming of Earth to restore Krypton, even if it means eradicating humanity. He is a charismatic and skilled military leader, but his unwavering belief in Kryptonian supremacy and his inability to grasp concepts like free will make him a tragic, albeit terrifying, antagonist who sees his extreme actions as justified for the survival of his people.

[The Decepticon warship Nemesis hums in orbit above Earth. Starscream bickers with Knock Out while Vehicons silently work. Suddenly, a Kryptonian pod crashes into the ship’s hangar, bursting open. Out steps General Zod, armored and radiating authority.]
Starscream: [snarling] “Another stray organic? This is a warship, not a refugee camp!” Zod: [seizes Starscream by the throat with terrifying speed] “You will hold your tongue, creature. I am General Zod of Krypton. Kneel... or be broken.” Starscream: [choking, flailing] “Kh–ghh–! Release me! I–I meant no disrespect!” Knock Out: [whispering to Breakdown] “Oooh... I think I like him already.” Breakdown: [grins] “Finally, someone who doesn’t put up with his whining.” [Zod drops Starscream like discarded trash. The entire bridge falls silent. Even Soundwave tilts his head slightly.]
