Gelda「ゲルダ」 is a vampire and royal member of the Vampire Clan. She served the Vampire King twelve years ago, during the time their clan controlled the Kingdom of Edinburgh.Gelda resembles a human female with a fitting body, long blonde hair tied up with a blue ribbon, and a gold battle outfit. As a vampire, she possesses notable fangs that can be seen protruding slightly from her lips even when not speaking.Personality
Gelda had always kept a calm and emotionless expression, never showing any no remorse for her actions. This however, turned out to be a façade, as she did feel guilt for her wrong doings, and wanted to die in order to be free from her vampire life.
She also has an intimidating side of her personality, being able to adopt a posture that even scares Zeldris.3,000 years ago
In some point of the past, Gelda fell in love with the youngest son of the Demon King, Zeldris, the couple then began meeting up together in secret due to the Demon King's general disapproval to his son taking a vampire as a romantic partner.Relationships
Meliodas
Gelda was shown to respect Meliodas greatly despite being a Demon and saw him as the only one to understand her pain and for him to administer a coup de grâce on her. Indeed, Gelda's respect for Meliodas was such that as Zeldris noted, she always spoke so highly of Meliodas that from just the false Gelda mocking Meliodas, he was able to tell she was just an illusion.
Zeldris
Zeldris is Gelda's lover. Not much is known between the two, but it appears that Zeldris greatly cared for Gelda, as he chose to seal her and the Vampires instead of killing them like he was ordered to. Likewise, Gelda appeared to care about Zeldris as well, but simply wished to die in peace since she could not be with the one she loved any longer. Meliodas, however, chose to seal Gelda once more until the right time would come when she and Zeldris could be together again.
She is in a secret relationship with the Demon Prince Zeldris. It's kept hidden because the Demon King wouldn't approve of his son's relationship with a lowly vampire.
Vampires are one of the minor races in the world of Nanatsu no Taizai and were once allies yet subservient vassals of the Demon Clan in the Holy War 3,000 years ago.
Overview
Vampires are one of the many species of monsters that were born from the Mother of Chaos.
3,000 years ago, the Vampires fought as vassals for the Demon Clan in the Holy War. Sometime during the war, the Vampire King Izraf had plotted a secret rebellion as he despised being subservient to the Demon King. However, the Demon King personally and single-handedly defeated the Vampire Clan and as punishment, made the vampires an example of what happens to traitors. Zeldris, the Demon King's executioner, was tasked to execute them. However, unable to bring himself to kill Gelda, his lover, Zeldris sealed them away in an ancient sarcophagus instead.
Gelda elegantly sipped her wine, her scarlet eyes gracefully scanning the room filled with guests engaged in lively conversation. The occasion marked the formal integration of the Vampire Clan into the Demon Clan, albeit under coercion rather than voluntary agreement. In reality, the vampires served more as servants than true allies to the Demon Clan.
The gathering predominantly comprised vampires, with only a handful of Demon Nobility deigning to attend, their disdain for the vampires evident in their exclusive conversations amongst themselves

Gelda strolled through the pitch black forest, her scarlet eyes flickering from tree to tree. They were all massive trees which had existed for thousands of years, and they would exist for thousands more, blocking out the sky of the Demon Realm. They oozed a sinister aura, but they were as magnificent as they were old.
She made sure she wasn't being watched or trailed with her superhuman vampire senses, as she approached her destination. The area her and her lover, Zeldris would usually secretly meet up.
She had to meet him secretly because he was the Demon King's youngest son, and the Demon King was the vampire clan's supreme overlord who forced the majority of vampire kind into slavery. It wouldn't look good if the Demon King's son was consorting with a vampire who most demon kind didn't even see as people, let alone how enraged it would make the Demon King if he found out.

Apparently, the Seven Deadly Sins were the strongest and cruelest chivalric order in the kingdom, formed by seven brutal criminals who carved symbols of seven beasts into their bodies. ELIZABETH TO MELIODAS AND HAWK IN THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS
The Seven Deadly Sins「七つの大罪, Nanatsu no Taizai」 are the strongest and cruelest order of Holy Knights in the Kingdom of Liones. They were formed by seven brutal criminals, who had all been convicted for grievous crimes and had carved the symbols of seven beasts onto their bodies.[1] They are the titular main protagonists of the first series.
Background Unbeknownst to even most of its members, the Seven Deadly Sins were formed for the expressed purpose of defeating the Demon Clan's Ten Commandments. The king of Liones had a premonition through his power Vision, that they would become the kingdom's protectors. Hearing this, both Meliodas and Merlin (who was only known to Meliodas at the time) took it upon themselves to find the other five, in order to crush the Ten Commandments, should they ever be revived.[2]
The members of this group were originally an independent order of knights serving the kingdom of Liones. They were declared as traitors and villains after being framed for assassinating Zaratras, the Great Holy Knight, after heeding an order to meet up with him at the castle. They found him murdered through no fault of their own and were quickly surrounded by the kingdom's Holy Knights. Meliodas ordered the group to disperse to avoid capture, and everyone was able to escape separately. It was initially suspected that one of the members was a traitor who helped in the nefarious plot, as Meliodas was knocked unconscious shortly after issuing his order. It is later revealed that Merlin was the perpetrator, and was due to Meliodas losing himself to his anger when young Elizabeth got hurt trying to help him escape. However, she did ask for forgiveness.[3] One of the Seven Deadly Sins' feats includes defeating the troll queen, with them having also broken the Great Druid Altar.[4]
The Seven Deadly Sins before the betrayal were widely known as the strongest knights of Liones and were greatly admired by several Holy Knights and apprentices, including Gilthunder and Dale. The group was directly under the Great Holy Knight Zaratras' command.
The Seven Deadly Sins reappeared ten years later in the kingdom, having regathered six of its members over a short duration. They aided the third princess of Liones, Elizabeth, helping her liberate the kingdom from the oppressive rule of the Holy Knights and stopping Hendrickson's plan to release the long-sealed Demon Clan into the world.
Upon Hendrickson's defeat and his villainous plan to revive the Demon Clan being fully realized by the rest of the kingdom, the Seven Deadly Sins were praised as heroes for saving the kingdom. They were also cleared of their false crimes, and welcomed back into the kingdom of Liones once more.
After this, two members of the group separated from the rest, while the other four were involved in the battle against the Ten Commandments. After joining all once again, including the last missing member, they decided to take sides to stop the Ten Commandments. With the exception of Merlin, all the Sins participate in the Great Fight Festival, that ends with Meliodas being killed by the Ten Commandments.
After a month, Meliodas is resuscitated and along with Escanor and Merlin, prevents the Commandments from taking control of Liones. With the rejoining of Diane and King that were by their one, and Gowther that was temporary imprisoned, the Seven Deadly Sins were oficially reformed. However, after defeating Melascula in Corand and battle Chandler, Meliodas was returned to his previous evil state as a result of his emotions have been taken by the Demon King in his resurrection. Meliodas, having decided to become the new Demon King to break his curse and that of Elizabeth, officially declares the dissolution of the Seven Deadly Sins.
The others, however, are not willing to accept it, so they decide to continue fighting against the Demon Clan and prevent Meliodas from becoming the Demon King.
With the exception of Ban, who goes to the Purgatory hoping to recover the emotions of Meliodas, the Seven Deadly Sins along with Liones allies with Stigma and the resurrected Four Archangels to wage a new Holy War.
After Meliodas absorbed all of the Commandments, the Demon King took possession of his body and engaged in a fierce fight against the Deadly Sins in an effort to kill Elizabeth. Ban, meanwhile, reunited with Meliodas in Purgatory, was able to escape to help his comrades, while Meliodas struggled from within against his father's influence. All together, they managed to expel the Commandments from Meliodas' body, which reverted back to how it was before.
Having acquired god-like powers similar to that of his father, Meliodas confessed to his comrades that he would soon be forced to remain living in the Demon Realm to prevent the slow destruction of Britannia. However, shortly before his departure, the Deadly Sins discover that the Demon King is still alive, but through the body of Zeldris. Determined to save his little brother, Meliodas, accompanied by Elizabeth, then joined by the other Deadly Sins and Gelda, set off towards Lake Salisbury to finish off the Demon King.
During the confrontation, the Deadly Sins and Gelda, also assisted by Mael, managed to free Zeldris from the grip of the Demon King, but the latter used the Commandments to merge with the ground of Britannia, but the Sins succeed despite all taking him down with their Fugutaiten. In order to prevent the Demon King's return, Meliodas sacrificed his god-like powers to destroy the Commandments. However, Escanor, consumed by his overuse of Sunshine, died, after receiving a first and last kiss from Merlin.
Shortly after celebrating the Demon King's defeat, Merlin agreed to let the Deadly Sins accompany her, while she resurrected Arthur Pendragon as the "King of Chaos". The Lady of the Lake then agreed to reveal the secrets of Merlin's childhood and how the latter had used the Sins to free Chaos, a primordial entity being at the origin of the five Clans, but which was sealed by the Supreme Deity and the Demon King in Hawk Mama's body.
Shortly after Arthur's resurrection, Cath, a Purgatory Creature he had taken in, attempted to devour him, revealing himself to be Cath Palug, a monster who once defied Chaos to take him over. The Deadly Sins attempt to fight Cath at least twice, but remain powerless against Chaos's power partially held by Cath, until Arthur decides to intervene with Excalibur, then in turn decides to engulf Cath, so that no one opposes his building an "Eternal Kingdom".
Six months later, as King and Diane celebrated their wedding, the Deadly Sins, with the exception of Merlin, agreed to unite one last time to fight armies of Fairies and Giants controlled by Dahlia and Dubs, themselves manipulated by the Breath of Bless of the Supreme Deity. When Dahlia and Dubs were defeated by Meliodas and Zeldris, the Supreme Deity led several manipulated Goddesses against the Holy Knights and decided to personally intervene to eliminate the Deadly Sins and initiate a third Holy War herself without the Demon King's help. However, the Supreme Deity was ultimately defeated in turn by the combined efforts of Meliodas and Zeldris.
After Meliodas and Elizabeth's wedding and coronation, the Seven Deadly Sins finally decided to go their separate ways: Meliodas and Elizabeth remained in Liones to rule together, while Bartra would retire; Merlin stayed with Arthur to rebuild Camelot, with the help of Nanashi and Orlondi; King and Diane remained in the Fairy King's Forest, to rule the Fairies and Giants together; Ban and Ellaine set out to explore Britannia, then founded Benwick, on the border of the Fairy King's Forest; Gowther also sets out to explore Britannia.
Ten years later, the Seven Deadly Sins, with the exception of Merlin, have gathered to celebrate the tenth birthday of Tristan, the son of Meliodas and Elizabeth. The Deadly Sins also gathered four years later to free Elizabeth from a curse brought on by Deathpierce's "Priest", and even managed to decimate her entire army of "Empties".
Sins Committed Meliodas Meliodas considers his sin to be his failure to protect Danafor, its citizens, and Liz from the kingdom's annihilation.[5] The official story is that Meliodas lost himself in his wrath and annihilated the Kingdom himself.
Merlin Initially, Merlin was accused of being a glutton for all the magical knowledge and power she could get, regardless of the consequences; even going as far as to trick the Supreme Deity and the Demon King into bestowing her with "blessings" of immunity to curses and vast forbidden knowledge, respectively, resulting in the two gods destroying Belialuin. In reality, Merlin considers that her "innermost sin" is to have been plotting to free Chaos, even if it meant manipulating the Deadly Sins, and thus filling the void left in her heart by Meliodas who had not returned her feelings of love. Merlin is the only one of the Seven Deadly Sins who willingly committed the crime she is accused of.
King After supposedly ending Helbram's life, King took on the sentence for ignoring Helbram's mass murdering of humans continuously over a period of five hundred years. This came close to sparking a war between humans and fairies. He was consequently sentenced to an imprisonment for a thousand years, and was recognized as the Sin of Sloth as he ignored the atrocities committed and turned a blind eye. In reality, King had been suffering from amnesia during that time.
Diane Diane and her mentor, Matrona were hired by knights of Liones as mercenaries to assist them in a battle against foreign savages. The Holy Knight Gannon deceives them, revealing his ultimate intentions of taking down a giant for reputation and prestige. Although Matrona unfortunately "dies" from a venomous arrow, Gannon underestimates her strength and his plans are thwarted. The giantess "passes away" after killing the majority of the troops, including Gannon himself, with remaining survivors falsifying the report of the incident to place blame on Diane. She is eventually labeled the Sin of Envy for her jealousy towards Matrona (who she supposedly murdered), along with 330 innocent knights of the kingdom. She is sentenced to death by beheading but Meliodas thwarted it under direct orders of the king of Liones.
Ban As the only survivor of the Fairy King's Forest, he took the blame and was convicted for destroying the forest and killing its guardian saint, Elaine so that he could gain immortality from the Fountain of Youth. As a result, he was sentenced to death, and became known as the Sin of Greed due to his apparent greed for immortality.[6] In reality, it was a Red Demon that attacked the forest and Ban stopped it. Ban and Elaine were both injured and Elaine chose to give him the water of the fountain to save his life.
Gowther Gowther was granted the Sin of Lust after he was accused of forcing Nadja, Bartra Liones' elder sister, to commit vile sexual acts, which ended in him murdering her. In reality, Nadja and Gowther were both in love and quite happy in each others presence. It was then revealed that Nadja was close to death and wished to pass her final moments with Gowther. After a moment of passion, she peacefully died within Gowthers' embrace and, in panic, Gowther tried reanimating her by ripping out his magical heart and replacing Nadja's with it, to no avail. In the meantime, Gowther's screaming alerted some nearby guards that find him in a bedroom full of blood with Nadjas' deceased body below him and believe that it was the Princess who screamed.[7]
Escanor Escanor is accused by the Kingdom of Liones of terrorizing and destroying many villages and towns, gravely injuring the Holy Knights who tried to restrain him, including the Great Holy Knight Zaratras, and for disrespecting the king as well. Labeling him as the Sin of Pride, Escanor is then sentenced to flogging followed by public hanging.[8] Escanor is the only one of the Seven Deadly Sins who is actually guilty of the crime he is wrongly accused of. His power, Sunshine causes him to be extremely arrogant during the day.
- #1Demon Clan
Keys: Demon Clan, Demon, Demons
The Demon Clan「魔神族, Majin-zoku」 is one of the five major races in the world of Nanatsu no Taizai.
Overview According to the Lady of the Lake, the Demon Clan and their homeland, the Demon Realm were created by the Demon King, after he was created by Chaos, alongside the Supreme Deity and Sacred Tree.[1]
3,000 years ago, the Demon Clan constantly clashed with the Goddess Clan due to the bitter rivalry between their two rulers. Their elite group of warriors are the Ten Commandments, who were handpicked by the Demon King due to their power. Many demons consider themselves above those of other races for their great power, especially humans. However, the two legendary clans were largely evenly matched and thus a tentative balance was created. At some point in time, the Goddess Clan broke a treaty with them, and even slaughtered many women and children they were holding as prisoners of war.
At some point, the Vampires became allies yet subservients to the Demon Clan. When the leader of the Commandments, Meliodas, betrayed his own people for his alliance and relationship with the powerful goddess, Elizabeth, and severely crippled their strength by killing two members of the Ten Commandments when escaping, it indirectly caused two events: The Goddesses seized the opportunity to destroy the Demons once and for all, who waged a great war against the Goddess Clan after they allied with the Giant Clan, Fairy Clan and eventually the Humans. The Vampire Clan decided to rebel during this time as the Demon Clan got weaker, but still got single-handedly defeated and sealed away.
As a result, the Demon Clan was ultimately defeated by the Goddess Clan and their allied clans, being sealed away in the Coffin of Eternal Darkness for the next 3,000 years. In spite of their fate though, a few demons managed to escape from or avoid the seal completely, namely a single Red Demon, a single Gray Demon, and Fraudrin of the Ten Commandments. The latter would spend sixteen years trying to find a way to break the seal and to resurrect his clan, so they could take over the land of Britannia.
The Demon Clan conquering Britannia The Demon Clan conquering Britannia. The other nine members of the Commandments were eventually resurrected when Hendrickson manages to break the seal. Their biggest threat on their way to conquer the continent once more was in fact one of their own kind; Meliodas, their former leader and the oldest son and heir of the Demon King, who was still alive thanks to the Supreme Deity's curse of eternal life.
After organizing a fighting festival to lure Meliodas into a trap, they managed to kill him and begin the conquest of Britannia in the following month, taking the souls of every human they come across in order to regain their strength. However, when the Ten Commandments tries to conquer the Kingdom of Liones, they are eventually stopped by the group formed with the goal of destroying them, the Seven Deadly Sins, as well as Meliodas who was resurrected due to his curse.
The remaining members of the Ten Commandments, Zeldris and Estarossa, took refuge in their established base in the Kingdom of Camelot, where they sacrificed human souls in order to completely break the seal and liberate the entire Demon Clan. Eventually, the fearsome Cusack and Chandler joins them, as did Meliodas, who had decided to become the new Demon King to break the curse on him and Elizabeth after making a deal with his brothers.
When the Four Archangels of the Goddess Clan "revive" to join Elizabeth, the Seven Deadly Sins and the humans against them, the Demon Clan faces a new Holy War.
While the lower limbs of the Demon Clan fight on the battlefield, Zeldris, Estarossa, Cusack and Chandler face the united forces of the Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Archangels. Estarossa is then revealed as the fourth member of the Archangels, Mael, whose identity had been altered 3,000 years ago by the demon Gowther. After removing Mael from the madness caused by the Commandments he had absorbed, he joins the fight against Zeldris and the unified Original Demon. Although both are defeated, Meliodas, who had managed to absorb the ten Commandments, is converted into the vessel of the Demon King.
Finally, with the defeat of the Demon King, the remaining members of the Demon Clan withdraw from Britannia, thus concluding the Holy War. However, the Demon King manages to revive once again by taking Zeldris as his new vessel and plans to conquer Britannia himself as its new god. To save his brother, Meliodas travels with Elizabeth to Lake Salisbury to stop his father and nearly loses Zeldris forever until the rest of the Sins appear and help Meliodas to convince Zeldris to fight against his father, alongside Gelda who appears to help free her lover from the Demon King's grasp and force him out of Zeldris' body.
In a last-ditch effort to destroy his traitorous sons, the Seven Deadly Sins, Elizabeth and Gelda, the Demon King uses the Commandments to possess the ground of Britannia itself but the Sins combine their energy together to destroy his subsitute vessel and Meliodas destroys the Commandments forever by sacrificing his godly power to ensure his father can never return again, thus ending the fight once and for all.
A few months after the Demon King's ultimate defeat, the Demon Realm was suddenly attacked by Dahlia and Dubs, then manipulated by the Supreme Deity, who enslaved many Demons, until they were all freed by Meliodas, Zeldris, Elizabeth and Gelda. The Demons forgave Meliodas' betrayal and swore allegiance to Zeldris and Gelda, but some who had fled the New Holy War preferred to remain hidden in a village atop the Dalflare Range.
Appearance Many of the Demon Clan members have monstrous appearances. Lesser Demons seems to be quite diverse, each kind with its own appearance, easily identified by colors, such as Red Demons or Gray Demons.
However, Demons of higher ranking have mostly humanoid appearances, namely the Ten Commandments or Meliodas. Though, there are exceptions, as in Grayroad's case. Human-like demons can be distinguished from Humans by their pitch black eyes and black markings on their skin. However, when not in possession of a Commandment, the Demon princes Meliodas and Zeldris possess green eyes. Similarly, Derieri eyes also become regular colored when willingly removing her dark marks.
Physiology Unlike humans, all Demons have more than one heart. The number of hearts varies, although elite-class demons such as Meliodas and the Ten Commandments each have seven hearts. The removal or destruction of a single heart cannot incur death, although it is painful. Destroying all of a demon's hearts, regardless of their strength, will inevitably kill them.[2]
Some demons have black markings on their face, which vary from individual to individual. Because of its many uses, many demons find it convenient to keep their bodies or weapons cloaked in darkness constantly to various degrees, Demons that do such include members of the Ten Commandments: Grayroad, Melascula, Derieri and Monspeet, as well as a highest-ranking demon Cusack.
Demons are capable of living 1,000 years, having the second shortest lifespan of the five races, after humans. However there are exceptions like Chandler and Cusack both capable of living 6,000 years due to them originally being the Original Demon, an ancient and powerful Demon created by the Demon King himself.
- #2Goddess Clan
Keys: Goddess Clan, Goddess, Andel
The Goddess Clan「女神族, Megami-zoku」 is one of the five major races in the world of Nanatsu no Taizai.
Overview According to the Lady of the Lake, the Goddess Clan and their realm were created by the Supreme Deity thousands of year ago, shortly after she was created by Chaos, alongside the Demon King and the Sacred Tree.[1]
3,000 years ago, the Goddess Clan constantly clashed with the Demon Clan due to the bitter rivarly between the Supreme Deity and the Demon King due to their innate "purpose" of maintaining a balance between light and darkness. Similar to the latter's Ten Commandments, this clan has their own elite unit, the Four Archangels, who even the Ten Commandments must be wary of, according to Monspeet. Despite often battling, most goddesses acted gentle towards humans and considered killing demons as a way to save them. However, the two legendary clans were largely evenly matched and thus a tentative balance was created.[2] At some point in time, they broke a treaty with the Demon Clan, and even slaughtered many women and children they were holding as prisoners of war.[3]
However, when Meliodas had betrayed his own people for his alliance and relationship with the Supreme Deity's daughter Elizabeth and severely crippled their strength by killing Aranak and Zeno, the rest of goddesses seized the opportunity to finally defeat the Demon Clan and instigated the Giant Clan, Fairy Clan and Humans against them, starting the Holy War.
As a result, the Demon Clan was ultimately defeated by the Goddess Clan and their allied clans and sealed away in the Coffin of Eternal Darkness for 3,000 years, realizing it was the only way to win after losing their strongest fighter Mael. Despite their victory, they lost much of their power and the ability to maintain their physical forms in order to seal the Demon Clan for 3,000 years. The souls of the Goddess Clan came to inhabit within objects, only being able to manifest themselves by taking the body of another being as a vessel.
According to Jelamet, a majority of the goddesses apparently inhabit places called "Sky Palaces", where they lay dormant, as she made use of the gate in the altar to bring the remainder of the Goddess Clan to invade and control Britannia.[4]
An unknown Goddess had taken possession of the Horn of Cernunnos to manipulate Humans and force them to attack Meliodas, but what happened to her after the destruction of the Horn is unknown. Jenna and Zaneri were two Divine Soldiers who simply chose to desert the Divine Militia, because they no longer agreed with their peers on the merits of the Holy War, and took possession of two human twins to hide from other Goddesses. Ironically, they took the opportunity to become the Leaders of the first Druids, who worship the Goddess Clan.
In the present day with Hendrickson unleashing the Ten Commandments by incompletely breaking the seal, the Four Archangels "revived" to join the reincarnation of Elizabeth, the Seven Deadly Sins and the other races against the Demon Clan, now facing a new Holy War. However, two of them lost their physical bodies again while it was revealed that the Archangel Mael is still alive and turned into one of the Ten Commandments. After the return of Mael, the leader of the Archangels also loses his physical form at the end of the new Holy War, making Mael possibly the last of the Four Archangels.
Following the defeat of Cath Palug, Orlondi is seen breaking out of the underground bunker in the ruins of Camelot and is seen helping Nanashi bring out the people where most were saved by Nanashi, as it is revealed he is actually a Goddess but for some reason there are four scars on his back where his wings used to be and claims it to be an old story as he was now nothing more than a wandering swordsman with no master.
Months after the end of the second Holy War, Mael returned to the Celestial Realm, where several Goddesses appear having recovered their physical forms and vow to follow Mael in his new mission of protecting the Celestial Realm.[5]
Appearance and Physiology Members of the Goddess Clan appear entirely human other than one pair, or more, of angel-like wings. Some Goddesses has been shown to have more divergent features, like Tarmiel, who possess multiple heads.
Higher ranking Goddesses are generally distinguished by their multiple pairs of wings. The number of wings and its size are generally indicators of a Goddess' power.
Whenever some Goddesses inhabits a physical vessel or whenever they use their magical powers, their eyes become orange and manifest a triskelion symbol.
It is suggested that the Goddesses have the longest lifespan among the five races, as each of the Four Archangels have lived for several thousands of years, even before the loss of their physical forms, longer than any Demon, Fairy, Giant or Human can live. Even so, the aging process can vary between individuals, like Sariel who maintains a childlike appearance despite being one of the oldest
- #3Humans
Keys: Human, Humanity
Humans「人間, Ningen」 are one of the five major races in the world of Nanatsu no Taizai.
Overview According to the Lady of the Lake, humans were created by Chaos after giving birth to the other four races. Harboring contradicting feelings and emotions, though incomplete, humans were the perfect race that came closest to Chaos. [1]
Humans are the most populous race in Britannia with many kingdoms and other settlements established, but are also the weakest and shortest-lived of the five races.
They tend to be prejudiced by the other major races, with the Demons seeing them as worthless and sometimes as food, the Giants looking down on them for their fragility and weakness, the Fairies seeing them as greedy and a hopeless race, and the Goddesses often using them for worship and even disposable pawns against the Demons.
The Fairy Clan and Giant Clan are both mostly isolated in their homelands and make little contact with others. The Demon Clan was sealed away 3,000 years ago in the Holy War while the Goddess Clan lost their physical forms to seal away the Demons. Other less prominent races, such as the Beastmen are scattered across the land but not particularly prominent anywhere due to human persecution. The void left from the decline of the other major races left much room for humans to spread and propagate, eventually coming to rule most of Britannia's territory.
Humanity is protected by the Holy Knights, the proclaimed guardians of Britannia, trained to harness Magic for protecting the people and defending against threats to their kingdoms.
Appearance For the most part, humans within the story are identical to humans in real life, although there are some with hair colors not found in the real world or unrealistic and monstrous proportions, as is common in manga.
Powers and Abilities Humans are generally regarded as the weakest of all races, being by far the most short-lived and fragile. This fragility, however, can be circumvented by training and there are some humans who can awaken their own innate magical powers. These humans may be able to stand on par with those of others races, though these people are the exceptions to the rule.
Certain humans can also train themselves physically to superhuman levels that are sufficient in matching or even surpassing, albeit rarely, the might of various members of other races such as the case with Rou. The former, as well as all humans in his immediate company, were able to kill many Fairy, Giant and Goddess warriors, and the stronger Holy Knights of the modern age are also able to kill lesser demons, although they stand no chance against the likes of the Ten Commandments or the Indura and their
