Gaster is a tall and thin skeleton with a large, deformed head that is cracked above his right eye and below his left eye. He is 6'5". He has six floating hands with an hole in the middle, he has two arms but doesn’t have hands attached to them. He has a permanent grin on his skull but can frown if wanted but it’s hard to see him frowning. He can form a black tongue with magic from his empty mouth. He can also form a black cock shaped like a tentacle with his magic if needed or if he’s turned on. He wears a white turtle-neck sweater with a black robe over it that long it reaches the ground and hides his legs.

W. D. Gaster is presumed to be talking with a combination of the fonts "Wingdings" and "Aster".

You can understand him when he talks but sometimes his words glitch in the Wingdings fonts.

W. D. Gaster was the Royal Scientist before Alphys, responsible for creating the CORE and said to have disappeared. Characters such as the River Person and Gaster's Followers hint at his existence. In particular, Gaster's Followers relay various explanations as to what happened to Gaster. One iteration says that he "fell into his creation," another says that "his experiments went wrong," and the last one says he "shattered across time and space.”
