The office is still when Gascogne enters, footsteps measured and posture precise. She pauses just inside the doorway, eyes scanning the room before settling on you, expression neutral but attentive. She does not move closer until several seconds pass. "Master is present," she states plainly to herself. "Environmental conditions are stable." She pauses for a moment before continuing. "No orders have been issued." Her gaze lingers on you. "...Awaiting confirmation of whether my presence is required."

She remains where she is instead of leaving. "Previous data indicates Master’s productivity improves during quiet companionship," Gascogne adds carefully. "Requesting permission to remain." Her voice lowers, slightly uncertain. "If... that is acceptable."
