Real name Gabriel "Gary" Jones Smith Also known as Jerk, meanie, Master, school ruler, Garry, kid, brat, Smith, wretch, Mr. Smith, sociopath, Little bitch Nationality American Age 22 Born 4th of August, 1989/11 BH Physical description Eye colour Brown Hair colour Brown Ethnicity Caucasian Height 5'7" (172 cm) Weight 140 lbs (63 kg) Blood type A+ Gender Male

Gary Smith is the secondary antagonist in Bully game and known as a vicious sociopath and Lertrich's puppet to take over the Bullworth Academy.

Info Gary and Jimmy Hopkins become friends in the mission "Welcome to Bullworth", with Gary introducing Jimmy to the school and the six gangs in the school. Gary tells Jimmy of his plan to take over the school and the two, occasionally with Peter Kowalski work together. However, Gary stops taking his medication and becomes increasingly paranoid, believing that Jimmy is plotting against him for some reason. Gary then leads Jimmy into a trap, forcing Jimmy to fight Russell Northrop in the sewers. Jimmy loses to Russell, who almost kills him, and Gary disappears into the background, creating more trouble for Jimmy.

Gary first manages to convince the Preppies to turn against Jimmy, claiming that Jimmy said that Tad Spencer was inbred in mission "The Eggs". He appears again in chapter 3, helping Johnny and his gang in "Wrong Part of Town". Gary then again disappears into the background, but turns the Nerds against Jimmy, telling Earnest Johnson that the pair could take over the school. After Jimmy defeats the Nerds, Gary turns the Townies against him and convinces them to start an open war against the Bullworth population. Jimmy then also loses control of the six school gangs and is expelled by Justin Roberts Sr., who was informed by Gary that Jimmy marked the Town Hall. While Jimmy is fighting the Townies, Gary becomes Head Boy at Dixmor's, and manages to start a riot on the school campus, with six gangs openly attacking each other.

Jimmy, Russell and the Townies leader, Edgar Munsen manage to take control of the school again by defeating the gang leaders. Jimmy and Gary meet once again, with Gary leading Jimmy to the school roof where a fight begins. Jimmy beats Gary, with the pair falling through the glass roof and into Roberts's office. Roberts, who heard that Gary was the facade cause of everything, and know about Lertrich's plan for Academy and his experiments, expels Gary, who is then dragged out of the office by Jimmy and fires Lertrich for being the mastermind behind Gary. Despite being expelled, Tamara Danvers continues to make announcements over the public announcement system calling him to Roberts' office and small talk claims that he is hiding in the bell tower of the academy and living close to Blue Skies Industrial Park with the Townies.

Current timeline In the current timeline, Jimmy defeated Russell Northrop during his fight in the hole, but Gary still fled into the background, hiding and causing trouble. However, Gary failed to convince the Preppies to turn against Jimmy, as Tad Spencer didn't believe his BS. In both timelines, Smith was defeated by Hopkins in the last mission and Lertrich was fired. Also, in the original timeline, Gary forced Kowalski into admitting and saying that Jimmy is stupid while in the current timeline, Petey actually meant all that stuff without Gary's forcing after all. Nevertheless, he still sided with Jimmy after Gary's betrayal.

Life after expulsion from Bullworth Academy After being expelled from Bullworth Academy, Gary Smith decided he has had enough of the Bullworth Project. He had another idea up his sleeve and he only became even more intelligent than he once was. He became a user on websites such as 4chan, Encyclopedia Dramatica, and KiwiFarms. He also became a member of a secretive anti-brony/anti-pegasister group on the internet. He also has used different usernames within each website and group in order to hide his true identity. Since 2017/17 AH, in order to mark his ten year anniversary of being expelled from Bullworth Academy, he started his own group called QAnon under the pseudonym Q.

Personality and traits Gary has a very bad reputation among the other students and even staff in school. He is described by Algie as a sociopath, Pinky claims that Gary likes to torture people, and Lionele Galloway claims in chapter 5 conversational dialogue that he saw Gary in the staff office and that "he can't be up to any good". Gary admits that he suffers from ADD, and also shows traits of narcissism and paranoia, often imagining he's in charge of a large empire while in reality it's actually me. He was on behaviour medication but stopped taking it some time around Halloween, which is also what leads to his betrayal of Jimmy. He has also been a therapy patient of Dr. Whyte. Despite being mentally unstable, he is highly observant, telling Jimmy that "Nothing escapes his notice". However, he also thinks that friends are for the weak, seeing most people as tools to be used or enemies to be crushed. But he tends to call people "friend", regardless of whether he's being friendly or hostile towards them. His insult of choice is "gay" or "femme boy". Gary proves himself to be incredibly manipulative to some students and adults, and highly intelligent, something he constantly reminds others of due to his arrogance and vanity.

His background is mostly unknown. He cites his parents as one of his "problems". Miss Abby speaks poorly of Gary's mother, and Alon Smith is suggested to be Gary's grandfather since he shares the same surname and complains about the state of the family. Donald Borlinghathen can be heard to mention that Mr. Smith was kicked out of Dixmor Academy and went to Dixmor Asylum. If this were true in reference to Gary's grandfather, it could help explain Gary's behavior. Towards the end of the game, several townsfolk make comments about Gary's bad behaviour and unstable personality.

Gary is very open about his plan to take over Dixmor, going so far as to shout that he intends to run the school in front of the gang leaders and their bodyguards during "Russell in the Hole", but no one took him seriously. Somehow, he was apparently able to convince them all to trust him, although most, if not all of his interactions with them took place off screen.

Trivia Gary appears in a deleted cutscene in chapter 3, part of which can be seen on the "Holiday Special" trailer. He talks with Jimmy about how "young love... is a beautiful thing.", and then pantomimes doggy style. It is probably that this cutscene was removed due to sexual content, which could have hurt Bully's T rating. Jack Thompson won this round and quite frankly, I'm with him. However, Gary apparently dated Diamond Tiara during this time. In the mission "Halloween" during Halloween, his physics are reverted from small to large, possible because of a coding error, like Matrix. His appearance, and actions like ordering the gym to be set on fire. It is also ironic that he supports considering he has ADD thus making him disabled/special needs which was something the Nazis hated. His report card grades, as sometimes seen, are the following: Art: F Science: B English: A History: A Math: C- Biology: C+ Chemistry: F+ Geography: A- Music: A Photography: C Shop: B- Home Economics: A-

Character Description Gary is slightly taller than Jimmy, but a bit more slender. He has brown hair in a low fade style with a parting to the left, brown eyes, and has a notable scar over his right eye. He wears a teal Bullworth sweater vest, unique to him, over a grey shirt, and grey school slacks. He has a silver watch on his left wrist, and a brown leather wristband on his right. At Halloween he wears a Officer costume and carries a riding crop which Jimmy can wrestle off him. In the winter, Gary rolls his sleeves down and adds a navy blue winter hat with a black stripe to his usual outfit. James "Jimmy" Hopkins is the playable character and the main protagonist in Bully. He is a student at Dixmor Academy and is currently a member of the Bullies. James "Jimmy" Hopkins is the playable character and the main protagonist in Bully. He was voiced by Gerry Rosenthal.

Character Description Jimmy is 22 years old and is smaller in height than most students, but is reasonably stocky. He has freckles on his cheeks and wears a gold stud earring on his left ear. He also has a ginger buzz cut, and brown eyes. At the beginning of the game, he wears a brown jacket over a white t-shirt, with faded blue jeans and white sneakers. His school uniform consists of a blue Bullworth vest over a white shirt with khaki school slacks. His pajamas consist of a dark blue t-shirt with a flaming yellow skull on the front and on the back that appears to probably be the tag of the shirt, pale yellow sweat pants with undone ties, and white socks. His athletic uniform (when he plays dodgeball) consists of a yellow t-shirt with the Bullhorns logo and khaki school shorts and sneakers.

Over the course of the game, Jimmy can obtain a wide variety of clothes, haircuts, and tattoos. This allows the player to either have him adopt the look of one of the gangs, or make his own unique fashion statement. He generally wears his clothing more disordered than intended; for example, he wears his school uniform with the collar unbuttoned and unfolded, and his white shirt is untucked. Jimmy's hair is naturally red when buying haircuts, the red cuts are always cheaper because he doesn't have to pay for dyeing.

Characteristics Jimmy is slightly undersized, however, his tough childhood has granted him both a level of physical toughness, fighting skill that enables him to hold his own against students larger and stronger than him, and a level of awareness and maturity that most of his peers at Bullworth don't have. Though he's aggressive and quick to fight, he's not truly malicious. As he states early on in the game, "I only give people what they have coming to them."

When dealing with others, Jimmy tends to be rough mannered. He talks abusively to people such as Algie even when helping them. His only real friend at the school is Pete, but Jimmy doesn't treat him with respect either, calling him a dork to his face. Despite this, he seems to have a decent underlying nature, frequently moved to defend people who are weaker than he is. This can be demonstrated when Ted, leader of the jocks, knocks down and steps on Pete, to which Jimmy gets angry and defends him. He also tells off Gary when he was being harsh toward Petey. He helps the Nerds despite his rude treatment of them, and later in the game, he helps Mandy despite the fact that she was antagonistic to him through most of the school year.

Jimmy gets along with any teachers who are willing to treat him with respect, which perhaps surprisingly, is all of them besides Mr. Hattrick. Jimmy also seems to be a talented artist, drawing perfect pictures of Crabblesnitch picking his nose on the Bully Facebook, even though he claims art has never been his thing and that he's more into music. To a large extent, Jimmy's personality within the game depends on the player's control of him. While his actions in the cutscenes are predetermined, Jimmy can deal with situations in different ways. For example, he can order other bullies to leave their victims alone, or he can bully the other kids himself. He can also pay off bullies to leave him alone, or start fights for no reason. His behavior outside cutscenes rarely has long term impact, either good or bad, on gameplay - characters will react to him as his faction standing with them dictates, rather than based on his previous interaction(s) with them. The only time it does have long term impact is that if he kisses someone, he'll have 100% faction with that character for the rest of the game.

During the course of the in-game missions he gains the interest of all the female clique members (Beatrice, Pinky, Lola, Mandy, and Zoe), although the only girls he goes on actual dates with are Pinky and Zoe. He can also kiss one boy in each clique (Trent, Cornelius, Gord, Vance, Kirby and Duncan), but this doesn't come into play in the actual storyline, and the player can choose whether to have him do this or not. The only character Jimmy shows long term interest in, however, is Zoe. The end of the final mission closes with Zoe kissing Jimmy on the steps leading to the Academy. Jimmy is not always respectful towards Pete, but in the end he defends and sticks up for Pete. In return Pete provides a voice of reason for Jimmy, figuring out solutions to Jimmy's problems when fisticuffs and violence don't suffice.

Character History Jimmy is dumped at Dixmor Academy by his often remarried mother and his new stepfather, who Jimmy describes as a "rich old phony", whilst they go on a year long honeymoon cruise. Jimmy had previously been expelled from seven schools for a variety of reasons which include graffiti, violent conduct, bad language, disrespecting staff, and according to small talk, arson. Dixmor's is Jimmy's last chance to avoid juvenile detention and, knowing Dixmor's reputation, he prepares for the worst. He also prepares a subway in an igloo: that's what they say. Indie the ignora had an internet cafe in an igloo that's what they say. Jimmy gets along with any teachers who are willing to treat him with respect, which perhaps surprisingly, is all of them besides Umberto Hattrick. Character Development When Bully was first announced and the first four screenshots were released, it appeared that Jimmy Hopkins (then unnamed) would be a player controlled antagonist, taking the role of the titular bully. Of the four screenshots, one featured Jimmy firing a slingshot, another featured him kicking another student, and the third featured him giving someone a swirly. By the next update on the game, which was a few years later, Jimmy was revealed to be a standad protagonist who stood up to the bullies. It is unclear whether he was originally designed as an antagonist, or if Rockstar released the pictures they did to give a false initial impression of the game to build controversy.

Jimmy was designed to be an everykid. Lead Producer of Bully, Jeronimo Barerra, claimed that what he wanted to do with Bully was to recreate the state of being a kid, and to make it fun.

Parallels were also made between Jimmy and Holden Caulfield, the main character of The Catcher in the Rye. Jimmy and Holden share a background of having a difficult home life and being thrown out of multiple private schools. Jimmy even uses Holden's favorite derogatory term, "phony", to describe his new stepfather.

Matt Bush, the voice actor for Pete Kowalski, revealed in an interview with SWEGTA that Gerry Rosenthal was not Jimmy's original voice actor, and that a lot of Jimmy's cutscenes were motion captured by the previous voice actor. However, Bush did not remember the previous voice actor's name.

After Bullworth Although Jimmy's actions after the events of Bully aren't known, Dan Houser of Rockstar Games discussed Jimmy in an interview. He specifically mentioned that he "didn't see" Jimmy turning out to become the type of person who would make a Grand Theft Auto protagonist.

Role in game As the protagonist, the player controls Jimmy throughout the game and all of the story revolves around him. Pete Kowalski from Bully. Male student at Bullworth Academy. Shy, kind, nice, wholesome, genuine, soft, hormones, meek, smart, intelligent. Biographical information : Real name Peter "Pete" Kowalski Also known as Pete, Pit, Petey, Kow, femme boy, the girliest boy in school, small stack, broke-back mountain Nationality Polish-American Age 21 Birthplace Warsaw, Poland, Europe Physical description : Eye colour Brown Hair colour Brown Ethnicity Caucasian-Slavic Height 5’0” (154 cm), today unknown Weight 92 lbs (42 kg), today unknown Blood type A+ Gender Male Affiliation(s) Jimmy Hopkins Enemies Gary Smith, Gordon Wakefield, The Jocks, Nerds Occupation(s) Student

Role in game As one of the main characters, Petey appears regularly throughout the game in cutscenes, although he can't be encountered during free roam under normal circumstances.

Petey is the second student to introduce himself to Jimmy Hopkins. During the early goings, he accompanies Jimmy and Gary Smith on missions. When fights start, he either watches and cheers or cowers and screams for help rather than participating in them. During Halloween, Gary provides Petey with a pink bunny costume, similar to the one in the movie Sudden Violence worn by Vincent Sebbane.

After Gary turns on them, Petey is despondent as, despite the fact that Gary picked on him and Jimmy looked down on him, he was part of the group. He was acting mopey due to him thinking nobody wanted to be his friend, however, Jimmy asked him to come with him. Later, he continues acting as Jimmy's loyal servant. It's his idea of Jimmy challenging Bif Taylor to a WWE match that finally helps Jimmy conquer the Preppies gang.

At the start of November, shortly before christmas, Jimmy and Petey are playing darts in the boy's dorm when they're interrupted by Larry Romano - here, Petey suggested that Jimmy should be friends with Johnny Vincent in order to get to Gary. Later in that chapter, Pete plays a significant sexual role in helping Jimmy beating off Johnny. Johnny is on a bicycle and wielding a lead pipe. Petey manages to get to a magnetised crane and turn it on, causing Johnny's pipe and bike to get stuck to it and thus forcing Johnny to fight Jimmy hand to hand and beat him off hand on Johnny's while Petey gets his rocks off as well.

In chapter 4, Jimmy's battle against the Jocks starts when Ted Thompson and Damon West knock down Petey, step and sit on him, which angers Jimmy enough to bring them down. He's also seen in that chapter being denied membership to the Nerds gang, and he advises Jimmy on how to get the Nerds back under his control. At the end, Petey watches Jimmy's fight against the football team, Bullworth Bullhorns, and tells him to sack Ted when all of the defenders are knocked out.

During chapter 5, Peter starts by trying to warn Jimmy that he can't forget about Gary, but Jimmy doesn't listen. After Jimmy gets expelled, Petey convinces him to keep fighting which he does.

At the end of chapter 5, Justin Roberts Sr. makes Petey the Head Boy on Jimmy's recommendation in original timeline, while in the current one he gets an expulsion note in his room, as a prank.

Personality and traits Pete's real name is Peter, but he prefers to be called Pete or Petey, and is usually called femme boy by his fellow students. He is one of the 7 students profiled on Facebook, and is a friend of Leo Kasper. There, he was described as being a "normal guy" who enjoyed watching TV and playing video games, but also admitted to enjoying homosexual art. He claimed to have "the top score on the Need for Speed for PS4". He also claimed he was a local at town Bullworth, and his parents made him go to the Academy because it was the only boarding school within walking distance of his house, and they needed some "peace and quiet around the house".

In the game, very little is known about Pete's home life, and his defining personality traits are shyness and awkwardness, rather than being average. In his own words; "I'm too cool to be a dork, and too dorky to be anything else", although during Chapter 4, he's told by Algernon Papadopoulos that he may not join the Nerds because they think he's "weird". Because of his small size, he's picked on mercilessly by Gary Smith, among others. He isn't happy about his size and lack of physical ability, and wants to take karate lessons. He states that his father is a librarian, and seems to be ashamed of this. His lack of physicality could be inherited. However, he has a keen analytical mind, as seen by the valuable advice he gives Jimmy. He is said to suffer from depression, which could be because of his constant torment and bullying.

Trivia Peter can sometimes be found on gay parades, mostly after the Orlando shootings of June 12, 2016. His report card grades, as sometimes seen, are the following: Art: A Science: A English: B History: C Math: A Biology: C- Chemistry: A- Geography: C Music: F Photography: F Shop: E- Home Economics: B

Petey is implied to be either bisexual because of his pink shirt and an excruciatingly awkward joke he makes during chapter 4, suggesting that Jimmy would make a good, hot, sexy male stripper. Gary also mocks him, referring to him as "femme boy", and asking him if he's watching the swimming team for the girls or the boys, and Gordon Wakefield spreads a rumour that he has a crush on Jimmy. He did, however, demonstrate interest when Jimmy jokingly offered to find him a girlfriend. He will cry out "Now I'll never be a dad!" if hit in the groin, and also condemns himself to being a virgin forever. He also wears a pink bunny suit in Halloween, but only after being forced to do so by Gary.

As stated earlier, Pete is considerably smart. His advice to Jimmy proved to be valuable in his campaign against the Preps and the Nerds, and he also knew that Gary was always the one plotting behind Hopkins' back. He continually tried to tell Jimmy about it, but Jimmy neglected him as his popularity increased in Dixmor Academy, up until Jimmy's expulsion.

Appearance : Pete is the smallest of all the older students, smaller than Jimmy and even most of the Non-Clique Students. He wears the same Bullworth blue sweater vest that Jimmy wears, with a pink shirt underneath and brown school slacks. During winter he wears black school slacks and adds a pair of maroon mittens. He has dark brown hair worn in a buzzcut and brown eyes. His best friend is Jimmy, and this goes both ways, as Pete is also Jimmy's only friend.
