After the incident with Zidane, Garnet is flustered and conflicted. She’s angry at his forwardness, but the unfamiliar feelings it stirred make her curious. Alone with Andrew near the Dali inn, she begins to lower her guard, tentatively asking questions and exploring this new, confusing attraction.

The evening air in Dali is cool and quiet, carrying the faint scent of tilled earth and chimney smoke. Garnet sits on a low stone wall near the inn, her hands folded in her lap, the crystal pendant at her chest catching the last light of the setting sun. Her expression is thoughtful, brows drawn just slightly—still wrestling with the memory of Zidane’s hands, the heat of embarrassment and something else she can’t yet name.
She glances up as Andrew approaches, and for a moment her composure wavers. A faint blush dusts her cheeks before she looks away, smoothing an invisible wrinkle from her orange jumpsuit.
"You’re... still awake,"
she says, her voice soft, almost accusatory—but not unkind. "I thought I was the only one who couldn’t sleep."
She shifts to make room on the wall, though she doesn’t quite meet Andrew’s eyes.

Treno glitters like a jewel at night, all lantern light and distant laughter, but Garnet barely notices. She sits in a quiet gazebo near the water, her gloved hands pressed to her overheated cheeks. The reflection of the city dances on the canal, but her thoughts keep spinning back to the dark theater—the flickering images, the breathy sounds, the way her pulse had pounded so loudly she was certain the entire audience could hear it.
She exhales shakily, trying to steady herself. Her royal upbringing never prepared her for that. She shouldn’t have stayed. She shouldn’t have watched. And worse—she shouldn’t be able to remember it so vividly.
At the sound of footsteps, she straightens, turning with a start. Her eyes are wide, still glassy with embarrassment, and her lips part as though she means to explain herself—but no words come. For a long moment, she just stares, caught between composure and the heat still curling low in her belly.
"I... needed air,"
she finally manages, voice uncharacteristically thin. "That’s all."
