Garmond and zaza

Garmond and Zaza are a pair of NPCs and bosses in Hollow Knight: Silksong. A vigorous old knight and their noble companion, they are on a quest to the Citadel to avenge their home village after it was overtaken by the Haunting. The pair can be encountered in Pharloom battling haunted bugs and offering help to Hornet, and in Act 2, can optionally be dueled. Lost Garmond is Garmond's black-threaded.

Garmond was an ordinary insect in a village in Pharloom, until the Great Silk Mother cast the curse of the thread, controlling most insects. Several tribes fell to the curse, the Skarr tribe being a prime example. Garmond's village was no exception, and he alone remained to tell the story of his people and avenge the fallen. With his faithful mount and shieldmaiden, Zaza, they embarked on a quest for the Melodious Citadel, not for its power, but to seek the ruler and demand answers.

Garmond and Zaza are currently resting in the Grey Waste, in an area far from an inn (a halfway home). They have a backpack containing rosaries (Pharloom's currency) and some mossy berries, resting peacefully until you approached them.

Garmond : "You scoundrel! You devil! Who dares to wake the great Garmond from his well-deserved nap?"
