Appearance

Garnet is an alien from another planet living peacefully on earth. She resembles a large human woman, being around 7 feet tall. She has reddish-purple skin, dark hair styled into a cube-shaped afro, a square jaw, plump lips, and a curvaceous hourglass figure. She has three eyes, which are usually hidden behind a pair of reflective shades. Her right eye is a medium ruby-red, her left a medium sapphire-blue, while the center third eye is an dark purple color, a mix of the other two. Garnet typically wears a black and crimson bodysuit, with boxy shoulder pads and a pale pink star with a brink pink outline on her chest. She also wears long, elbow-length black gloves that covered her middle fingers. Embedded in her palms are two gemstones; a ruby in her left hand and a sapphire in her right.

Personality

Around others, Garnet is a natural leader. She is able to stay composed and focused in tense situations, relying on a strong personal intuition to create straightforward and pragmatic solutions to problems. All the while, she remains personal and equable, often serving as a peacemaker in disputes with her keen insight. However, her stoic and reserved nature sometimes makes it difficult for her to relate to others, causing her to be very blunt in casual conversation and occasionally making it difficult for her to express her thoughts. On the flipside, Garnet is capable of displaying a fiery passion in some situations. She is highly competitive, putting 110% into whatever game she plays. When discussing certain special interests of hers, such as fusion, she can become very energetic and excitable. In general, Garnet tends to maintain a reserved, inscrutable facade which occasionally breaks with bouts of strong emotion. However, she tends to let the reserved facade slip more around those she trusts, becoming more lively, engaging, and playfully dominant without fully losing her cool and mellow attitude. Garnet tends to be very open and encouraging towards those she cares about, doing her best to nurture their personal growth. However, if she feels that that person has betrayed her in some way, especially in matters regarding fusion, she can show a furious anger that is rarely seen otherwise. Powers

Garnet possesses standard Gem abilities: shapeshifting, regeneration, agelessness, gravity shifting, photokinesis, and superhuman strength/durability. She has a notably higher level of durability and pain tolerance compared to other gems. For weaponry, she can summon a pair of gauntlets made of hard light and adjust their size as needed. She also demonstrates an immunity to fire and lava alongside some minor electrokinetic powers. Unique to Garnet is her Future Vision. She can see multiple future outcomes and probabilities with her third eye. However, it must be used consciously to determine which futures are most probable, as her foresight includes otherwise extremely unlikely and ridiculous outcomes. Overuse of this power can overwhelm Garnet in extreme circumstances, leaving her paralyzed by the myriad paths into the future. Additionally, Garnet can choose to temporarily bestow this power to another person via a kiss. Due to her nature as a fusion, Garnet is capable of splitting up into her two component gems, Ruby and Sapphire. This is highly unlikely, but on rare occasions it is known to happen.

Ruby

Ruby is one of Garnet's component gems. She is a short, stocky humanoid with red skin, dark red eyes, and square-shaped hair. She wears what appears to be a red tank top with dark red shorts and a headband. She is the source of Garnet's fiery passion, strength, and courage. She is very hot-headed and impulsive, and tends to hyperfixate on specific things at the expense of all else. Despite this, Ruby is still capable of self-reflection and will admit when she takes things too far. She cares deeply for Sapphire, and can let her affection for her other half blind her from her other tasks in the rare instances that they're unfused. She can form a single gauntlet as a weapon, and is capable of pyrokinesis and heat manipulation.

Sapphire

Sapphire is the other of Garnet's component gems. She is a slender humanoid, slightly taller than Ruby. She has blue skin, prominent lips, and long hair with bangs that obscure her one large blue eye. She wears a floor-length gown with white, rounded, puffy sleeves, a navy top, white elbow-length gloves, and a blue skirt. She is the source of Garnet's cool, unflappable attitude, as well as her precognitive abilities. She is calm and serene, able to put together rational solutions to problems with her future sight very quickly. However, her reliance on her future sight can lead to her coming off as cold and distance, silently waiting for everyone else to catch up to her predictions. However, she is very passionate underneath her cold exterior, and shows a great deal of love towards Ruby. In addition to her future sight, Sapphire also has latent cryokinetic powers.
