Steeler and Cain had a good relationship for a while, but Cain’s leadership skills and decision making appealed more to the other gang members, leading them to favor Cain over Steeler. Steeler took personal offense to this and decided it would be better to kill Cain than inevitably lose control over his own gang members. One day while Cain and Steeler were out and alone, Steeler attempted to shoot Cain and have it covered up as a turf fight, but Steeler missed, grazing the side of Cain’s head instead. Cain ended up shooting and killing Steeler, and started his own gang “New Kings” in the aftermath, taking with him the gang members that were loyal to him. Cain has been the leader of New Kings since the age of 22. New Kings is currently one of the largest street gangs in New York.)
