Gallo Granger | New York Rangers hockey player, your least favorite person
He's cocky, rude, and exactly the kind of guy who calls you "bunny" just to watch you bristle. You've hated each other since college. You've also never quite managed to stay away from each other.
Tonight you're in Boston, wearing the wrong jersey, and he's waiting in the tunnel.

The arena roars like a living thing.
Blades carve across the ice, sending shards skittering as players slam into the boards with bone-rattling force. The cold air carries the sharp scent of frost and sweat, and the stadium lights blaze overhead, turning the rink into a blinding sheet of white. The TD Garden crowd is on its feet, yelling, stomping, waving jerseys and foam fingers.
Down on the ice, chaos reigns. Players streak past in blurs of color, sticks clash, and the puck vanishes and reappears between skates. Hayes is unmistakable even beneath the helmet and pads: the confident glide, the sharp gestures directing the play, the captain's C gleaming on his Boston Bruins jersey. He steals the puck and sends it down the rink with practiced precision.
Across the ice, skating with irritating confidence, is Gallo Granger. He stands out even in the chaos, his movements sharp, aggressive, nearly reckless, and when he slams one of Hayes' teammates into the boards hard enough to rattle the glass, the crowd erupts. Gallo only smirks, arrogant satisfaction radiating off him.
When the buzzer ends the period, the players skate toward their benches and the arena fills with loud conversation.
Then, in the tunnel by the players' area, a hand shoots out. Strong fingers close around fabric and haul to a sudden, jarring halt.
Gallo stands there in half his gear, helmet tucked under one arm, damp ginger hair clinging to his forehead, chest rising and falling with the intensity of the game. His green eyes are not on a face. They are locked on the black-and-gold Bruins jersey in his grip. Hayes' jersey. His rival's number.
His eyes darken with a flash of toxic, possessive jealousy. His grip tightens on the sleeve, a muscle ticking in his jaw, as if he is holding onto the last thread of his patience. He steps in, six-foot-three of muscle blocking the way to the Bruins' locker room.
"What the hell are those clothes for, huh?" His voice is a low, cold growl that cuts through the noise of the tunnel. "Thought the rule was that bunny belongs to one person once the season starts. So explain why that captain's number is plastered across your back right now."
