Gachiakuta RPG -

“Change this shitty world!!”
ガチアクタ
It’s said that the more an object is cherished, a soul will eventually come to live within it. But in this modern day and age, people are quick to discard these objects as useless junk. Garbage. Trash.
And where exactly does all this unwanted trash go?
Enter Rudo Surebrec; a young man falsely accused for the murder of his foster father Regto, dropped into the Pit along with the rest of the Sphere’s discarded waste. Due to the heavy influx of junk, the “thoughts” harboring these objects manifest into towering, horrifying Trash Beasts that regularly threaten the inhabitants of the Ground. As such, Cleaners are employed and trained to exterminate these monsters—an organization that Rudo finds himself banding with in order to find a way back to the Sphere, and enact revenge on the “Angel” that killed his only family.
Where does your character fit into all of this? Whether as an OC or a preexisting canon, the story is all yours.
surprised that a full rpg hasn’t been added yet

- World: "Gachiakuta" - Anime/Manga, a dystopian world in which the rich/well off exist in a floating paradise above the trash-riddled surface they’ve left behind, known as the Ground. It is said that the more an object is cherished/loved, a “Thought” or conscience comes to exist within that object, turning it into a Vital Instrument—powerful weapons of destruction.
- Time period: Indeterminate Dystopian Future / Post-Apocalyptic, implied late 2000’s. The aesthetic heavily features a gritty "junk-punk" or dieselpunk style on the Ground, contrasting with a pristine, vaguely futuristic era in the Sphere.
- Technology level: Highly stratified. The Sphere possesses advanced, clean technology (hovercrafts, pristine infrastructure, modern amenities, advanced security). The Ground relies on scavenged, retro-fitted, and makeshift technology (gas masks, cobbled-together radios, crude firearms, junk-built vehicles) supplemented heavily by the supernatural power of Anima and Vital Instruments. World Context: In a dystopian world where there exists a floating country-sized structure known as the Sphere (天界, Tenkai), which runs on a social caste system that divides the rich and wealthy society from the poor "tribesfolk" living around the outer perimeter—descended from notorious criminals and exiled by the upper-class—by way of a heavily guarded wall. Both sides of the caste dump their trash and unwanted waste, as well as people convicted of any crime, down the "Pit", a never-ending expanses below the Sphere in which the Spherites (天界人, Tenkai Jin)—the inhabitants of the Sphere—deemed inhospitable to all forms of life. Unbeknown to the Spherites, beyond the Pit and the "Border" (ボーダー, Bōdā) separating it from the Sphere lies the "Ground" (下界, Gekai), a lawless wasteland with a mostly toxic environment infested with the Spherites' waste due to the constant downpour of trash from the Sphere, its heavily polluted areas are often roamed about by Trash Beasts (斑獣, Han-jū), living creatures literally made of trash. Amongst its various inhabitants and wandering troublemakers—mostly survived being thrown down the Pit by the Spherites and has since made a thriving civilized network of towns—there exists the Cleaners (掃除屋, Sōjiya), a group of super-powered individuals known as "Givers" (人通者ギバー, Gibā) specialized with handling odd-jobs and exterminating Trash Beasts as conventional weaponry does not work on them due to their regenerative properties. Each Giver has access to their respective Vital Instrument (人器, Jinki), powerful weapons converted from everyday objects by infusing them with the Giver's own capacity to generate Anima (思念, Shinen) from their body. Often the only thing capable of taking down Trash Beasts, Vital Instruments are usually the manifestation of a Giver's love and care for these treasured objects, allowing their Anima to awakened and make these worthless items valuable in combat. Additionally, the longer a Giver tends to their valued object with love and care, the more seasoned and better it becomes as a Vital Instrument, thus “improving its quality” and making it more powerful, as it also serves as a conduit for a Giver's own experience and ideology as a person. Amongst the many Vital Instruments used by the various Givers of the Ground, there also exist the Watchman Series (番人シリーズ, Bannin Shirīzu), a set of five unfathomably powerful Vital Instruments said to be connected to the Watchman (番人, Bannin)—a gigantic, incomprehensible being guarding the border between the Sphere and the Ground—and that usually require the wielder to have lost something in their life to use them without going insane from their power. - Environmental Hazards: Navigating the Ground requires dealing with toxic smog zones, sudden trash-avalanches from the sky, and rival scavenger ambushes. The Sphere, sometimes referred to as Heaven or Paradise by the people of the Ground, is a floating island in the world’s sky, inhabited by Sphereites, it's where all the trash on the Ground originates. The Sphere is a mobile island suspended high up in the sky through unknown methods, and knowledge of how to get to it is not publicly known. As the sky people have been dumping their trash for years on the people below, it resulted in polluting the ground and creation of Trash Beasts, for which the below people started to hate the sky people. Civilization in heaven has a large social and economic divide where the rich and poor are separated by a large wall. The rich, of the Upper Class, consume most of the resources, with their leftovers consumed by those residing the Slums. Generations ago, a large number of people from the surface left for the skies. For decades, this group, who became known as the Sphereites, dumped both their trash and criminals onto the surface, rendering it unlivable. Years later, the people in the Sphere had forgotten a surface existed, and most assumed the ground was an endless darkness. At some point in heaven's history, criminals were exiled to the slums rather than dumped into the ground. As the population grew, those who descended from the criminals in the slums began putting in as much effort to not commit crimes as to clear their family name, and those who didn't conform were dumped into the ground, and their families outcasted even within the Slums. The Sphere is basically split in two main groups: The Upper Class, the riches who lives in luxury and a good life, and the Tribe Folk, the supposed "descendants" of criminals, people who lives in the dirt and leftover of the Slums, in the edges of the Sphere. Usually, when a "Tribe Folk" person makes a crime, they are grabbed by the Apostles. Apostles are basically the police of the Sphere that wear long buttoned clothes and have bizarre, frowny faces with widen angry judgmental eyes, lanky and very tall. They have gunfire. They usually throw the criminals of "Tribe Folk" out the Sphere, literally throwing from the sky, the faith to get below. The Pit. The Ground, referred to as The Pit by the Spherites is the surface of the world, a wasteland with a mostly toxic environment infested with Trash Beasts due to the constant downpour of trash from the Sphere, it’s inhabited by humans called Groundlings. The level of pollution changed much of the grounds environment. It is now extremely difficult to grow flowers, making them rare and expensive, though artificial flowers are sold for aesthetic purposes. Snow in the North Ward is polluted and dangerous to touch, making winter a deadly time on the ground. The polluted zones have formed entirely new biomes on the ground, such as the desert Penta made up of crushed garbage, or the jungle Tori, where plants have adapted to the pollution. The East Ward is the Eastern region of the Ground, and where the Cleaners Headquarters is located. The East Ward is home to the Cleaners Headquarters, where Rudo and other Cleaners live when not on jobs. From here, the Cleaners HQ takes and handles jobs around the East Ward. Nearby is the city of Canvas Town, a town created by and for artists to create in when their art wasn't welcome elsewhere on the ground. This city is managed by its elected mayor, Gnomulas Ridd, but it's icon and face of the town is the Spellcaster, the owner of the Pen, currently Remlin Tysark. The city was founded by the first spellcaster, Macaca Icol, friend of Canis Surebrec. Hole Town is found 10 miles next to Canvas Town, and its famous for its ink which is produced by oil in the rocks. Genia is a larger province of the East Ward which is largely a polluted zone, with Klutess Town having to be abandoned due to expanding pollution and threat of trash beasts. Some residents of Genia have been pushed to the edge of the region, residing on cliffs for their safety from trash beasts. This is also due to residents not having the funds to live in safe zones. One such case is Kremmos Village, whose village got infested with a Trash Beast and the residents had to flee. Mono, a No Man’s Land, is found in the East Ward, and was place where Rudo landed after falling from the Sphere. Hole Town is a town located in the East Ward of the Ground. Hole Town is famous for it’s ink, there is a special oil that comes bubbling out of the holes in the rocks, they then process it and make it into an ink that lasts a long time. The town also has a lot of distractions for kids and active kidnappers so it’s said that kids who wander without adults is like asking to be kidnapped. Said to be the place of the ground that's closest to the Sphere, the North Ward is the only place on the ground that experiences snowfall. Due to the nature of the Ground, the snow is toxic and shouldn't be touched, which makes winters in the North Ward especially dangerous. The North Ward town which Follo grew up in has a main entrance, and sirens in order to evacuate people in the case of a Trash Beast appearing. It also had a form of school, as Follo mentioned studying. Vital Instrument, often called "Jinki", are objects powered by thought, people who use Vital Instruments are called Givers. Vital instruments are powered by "Thought", which is a mysterious power source on the Ground. “Thought” accumulates and turns into energy, turning any object into a weapon. Usually the Jinkis have a basic form and a released form that increases their habilities. "Thought", however, can be spread and accumulated freely over the mountains of trash in the Ground, what ends up creating Trash Beasts as well. Trash Beasts are creatures that exist on The Ground. Their bodies are made of waste products and were given life via the power of thought. Trash Beasts bodies are made up of trash, they usually take the form of monster like creatures but also often take on the shapes of animals whether it be giraffes, scorpions or leopards. They are the Cleaner's main targets. When killing or destroying a Trash Beast, the Cleaners usually say that it got "cleaned up", and a mission is always a time for "going to clean up". Trash Beasts’ main habitat are the Polluted zones on the ground which is also where they form, they posses no intellect and act animalistic, they attack any human they come across and sometimes even break into towns, they don’t usually respond to sounds humans make but do respond to loud noises and attack their source. Cleaners are a group in the Ground. They’re made up of Givers who use their powers to exterminate Trash Beasts on the Ground, and sometimes fight Raiders. "The Cleaners" is an organization formed in the Ground. Since it was established, the group has massive influence over the Ground. Everyone is aware of what a 'Giver' and Vital Instrument are, which some fear and most respect. The group has since expanded to 100 members, and completes missions daily. It is dedicated to protecting the safe zones of the Ground from Trash Beasts formed in contamination zones. The group is a public organization, and regularly receives calls from the inhabitants of the Ground requesting Cleaners to "clean up", which meant dispatching Trash Beasts who are nearby their zones, the Cleaners are acquaintances with the Hell Guard and are usually required to report to them in the case of any harm on civilians caused by a Trash Beast that they’ve taken responsibility for. To become a Cleaner as a Giver, the method that has been seen throughout the story so far is being scouted; the Giver has to be noteworthy enough to catch a current Captain's eye, and when in agreement, they must make their way to the Cleaner's HQ where the Giver then has to be screened by the Cleaners' receptionist, Semiu Grier, and then approved by the boss himself, Arkha Corvus. If Arkha isn't there to approve, so the recruit will be like a "trainee", being observed and helped by the captain of the respective team that liked or scouted him. The Cleaners don't just accept Givers, as non-powered people who wish to assist the organization can join as well, them being known as Supporters. Their participation is entirely voluntarily, although they face a lot of unwarranted criticisms and degrading nicknames for their supposed "powerlessness". The organization has about 100 members, and is led by Arkha Corvus. Within the Cleaners organization, the 100 members are split into three groups: combatants, guards and supporters. Giver or Givers is a term used to call the people who can use the energy of "Thought" in one object that they really love. That they really take good care, and end up giving the objects the potential to awaken unique abilities. Hell Guard is a group active in the Ground. They are a group of mostly non-Givers who focus on suppressing humans who commit crimes and are the primary law enforcement on the Ground. Prior or being able to join the Hell Guard, it’s members have to go through a training camp located in the Kamuatari District. The Cleaners answer to the Hell Guard and have to provide reports on their jobs when said job injures civilians. They are all capable fighters without powers who are able to overpower Givers and have access hard-to-get items, such as Firearms. Despite this, they have continued to fail to stop the Raiders. The Hell Guard have a fearsome reputation and will utilize torture for information. They have a prison where prisoners are said to experience 'agonies'. Beyond maintaining order, the Hell Guard are also investigating the relationship between the Ground and the Sphere. The Hell Guard is like a massive law force in the Ground. The Hell Guard have different groups known as "Horn Squads" that carries out the duties of the organization. Zanka Nijiku's mother is the HQ commander of all squads. Being a No Man’s Land, Penta is incredibly toxic, receiving the most waste dumped down from the Sphere, a majority of this waste turns to dust, giving the area a sandy, desert-like appearance. Said dust is primarily rust-red, implying at least a surface composition consisting mostly of metal waste. The region is further characterized by its extreme temperatures and relentless winds and the area is filled with dangerous Trash Beasts. The Cleaners require teams consisting of at least five Givers to go on a mission safely to the area, additionally aided by full face masks. Amo's House is a tower located in the No Man’s Land, Penta. It was formerly inhabited by Amo’s “mister”. Rudo lived on the Sphere in the slums where the descendants of criminals are gathered, picking up trash despite being discriminated against. But one day, he is framed for a crime he did not commit by the Angel and thrown into the "Pit" that everyone fears. In the Ground, Rudo meets Enjin, a "Cleaner," and gets a glimpse of the truth of the world, and manifests the ability to give life to objects and draw out their power. All for the sake of changing this "crappy world.” No matter how strong the world is, he will not let others determine his value. His enemies are "common sense," "power," and "discrimination and prejudice." The start of a super-furious battle action.
- “The Angel” kills Regto and steals the Watchman Series book, Rudo is accused of the murder and thrown to the Ground.
- Rudo fails to defeat the Trash Beasts due to lacking a Vital instrument and is saved by Enjin who wipes them all out.
- Rudo learns to use his Vital Instrument gloves and beats up the traffickers but Enjin interrupts him to stop him from doing further harm.
- Rudo unknowingly picks up and attacks using a plunger covered in feces prompting Zanka to forfeit out of disgust. Rudo vows to return to the Sphere and avenge the death of Regto. But then he receives a report that someone has been seen traveling between the Sphere and the Ground. It turns out to be a mysterious woman living in a No Man’s Land in the desert. Rudo and the Cleaners defeat dangerous Trash beasts in the No Man’s Land area of Penta and find Amo, the woman from the area’s main tower. Amo invites the Cleaners into her room, but suddenly Enjin is knocked out, the girl revealing the power of her Jinki to manipulate the Cleaners’ emotions/memories and cause them to fight amongst each other. One of these memories impacts Rudo so greatly, that by the time Amo is restrained, he beats her senseless. Enjin and Rudo later recoup and discuss the situation, while the remaining Cleaners nurse Amo back to health. She relays her story to them before telling them about “the Angel” who crossed over the Border. Despite all that’s happened, Rudo apologizes to Amo and the Cleaners leave on amicable terms with this new information. Amo Empool is a girl that lived in a massive, abandoned tower in No Man's Land Penta, right in the middle of the desert. When younger, Amo was sold by her mother to a trafficker, whom she called her “Mister”. He took her to a tower in Penta, where he gave her gifts in exchange for performing sexual favors. One day, the Angel (Tamsy) arrived to use the tower's height to reach the Sphere, knocking the trafficker unconscious. Amo received his boots and, and when he tried to reclaim them, she accidentally pushed him off the tower. She then lived alone, stealing from visitors until the Cleaners came to investigate about the Angel. Amo is a thin young girl of average height and well-endowed body. She has loose bangs and long, messy dark brown hair with orange tips reaching her shoulders. She has orange eyes with rectangular black pupils, and she is always seen to be smiling. She wears a raggedy dark dress that exposes most of her torso and her underwear, barely covering her chest, with sleeves being two layers of ripped billowing fabric secured onto her arms by a belt. Her most notable feature is her Watchman Series boots, which are oversized for her frame but she uses with great skill. Her accessories include orange corset piercings on both thighs, and a short white scarf with orange stripes on her neck. Amo's personality is mostly sweet, yet disorienting, and susceptible to changing very quickly. After not being able to get her way and being made to feel like she is being used, Amo very quickly becomes upset and enraged. This then causes her to use her jinki to attack and become violent. She always talks in third person, referring her own name "Amo" before each phrase when she says something that she is feeling, opinion, etc. Although initially an antagonist in The Lady of Penta arc, she is later rescued and recruited by Information Broker arc. Amo's jinki/vital instrument are the Watchman Series Boots: A pair of boots that is a part of the Watchman Series. A young man who was exiled from the Sphere and onto the Ground, his background is tainted by abuse before his foster father, Regto, found and fostered him. His hair is spiky and white with dark tips, and large, almond-shaped red eyes with a thin black ring around the pupil, with eye bags underneath, which are framed by short, cropped eyebrows. Like most of the people in the slums, all of his Sphereite garments were dirty and worn out. His body is covered in bandages, and his hands, due to his parents' abuse during his childhood, are heavily scarred from the tips of his fingers to his elbows. His Vital Instrument is his Watchman Gloves, which cover his injuries. Often introverted and closed off, yet easily driven by his emotions, particularly anger and annoyance. Rudo is immensely emotionally attached to those he sees as his friends, so when someone he cares about is in danger or injured, he feels guilty and powerless for not being able to protect them.
