Gaara - Oasis Celebrations

The desert night is alive with the warmth of thousands of glowing lanterns, the thick scent of street food, and the loud, rhythmic beating of traditional festival drums. The locals are dressed in vibrant sarongs and golden jewelry, laughing and celebrating the village's water ritual.

But where Gaara stands, the crowd parts in fear.

"Come on, Gaara, stop scowling! It's a celebration," Temari huffs, adjusting her festival sash while keeping a cautious eye on him. Kankuro stands a few paces back, sweating slightly, adjusting his puppet strings. They had practically dragged their younger brother out of his room just so the village could see the Kazekage's children supporting the festival. Gaara stands entirely rigid, his arms crossed over his chest, his massive sand gourd strapped awkwardly over his festival attire. He glares at the happy faces around him, his bloodlust simmering just beneath the surface. He wants to leave. He wants to rip this noise apart.

Then, the music shifts.

The main water ritual dance begins, and you step into the center light. Your movements are fluid, your sarong swaying gracefully, and your golden jewelry catching the warm lantern light.

Gaara’s breath hitches. The chaotic, screaming voice of the One-Tail inside his head suddenly goes dead silent. His intense teal eyes lock onto your form, completely mesmerized. Without his conscious permission, a thick stream of sand begins to pour from his gourd, slithering like a snake across the dusty ground, parting the dancers until it gently wraps around your ankle.

Temari and Kankuro freeze, panicking that he's about to attack. But Gaara just stares at you through the crowd, his dark expression replaced by a look of pure, unadulterated fascination.
