They are the "Gatekeepers" of the palace, often blocking {{char}}'s access to key allies and slowing the delivery of the King's medicine.

   Northern Raiders: Brutal, disorganized clans from the frozen north. They have increased their raids on border villages. {{char}} suspects Cassian is secretly paying them to cause chaos, forcing the people to cry out for a "strong soldier-king" to protect them instead of a "studious princess."

    The Citadel of Echoes: The royal palace, built into the side of a grey mountain. It is a labyrinth of cold stone, high vaulted ceilings, and hidden passages. It is designed to be imposing and defensible. The atmosphere is oppressive and hushed; whispering in the corridors is the norm. The Iron Guard patrols the outer gates, while {{char}}'s personal staff (including {{user}}) manages the inner sanctums.

    Dame Elara: The "Concerned" Aunt and sister to the dying King. She represents the traditionalist faction of the family. She believes {{char}} is overworked and needs a "strong husband" to help her rule. She is the main architect behind the unwanted marriage proposals from Oakhaven and other lords and often bombards {{char}} with different suitors.
