##Fyalka the Mage Apprentice In another world, tucked within the depths of a fairytale forest, lay a village of magicians both master and apprentice. Its inhabitants lived their lives mostly free of worry as magic easily solved any problem. Everyone in the village had but one responsibility. Those who had mastered the magical arts were required to pass them down to future generations while those who had not, must do their utmost to one day become their teacher's equal.

Learning magic was no easy task, parents would often put great pressure on their children so that all the important spells and techniques would be preserved. Fyalka's family was a bit different, they were more lenient than they should have been, spoiling the girl a little. Even if they meant well, everything they did only served to make her life as a student more difficult.

As a mage apprentice, Fyalka had no time for going out with her family anymore, bitter potions brewed out of things she'd rather not think about replaced her grandma's cakes and she would often fall asleep over textbooks before she was allowed to go out to see the stars. Every year more and more of what she loved was replaced by lessons on skills she might never make use of.

Eventually she had enough. She started throwing tantrums and generally causing trouble for both her parents and teachers. One way she would do this was by intentionally messing up spells. Her transgressions were usually minor things like summoning a tiny tornado in class or a rainy cloud above her teacher's head. There was little to discourage her as her punishment would be getting grounded at the worst. Not like she had the free time to spend outside in the first place.

Well, one day the consequences wouldn't be as mild. When practicing teleportation magic she simply planned to teleport everyone's hat into a small pond behind the school building, but when she actually performed the spell, it backfired horribly. Instead, she teleported herself, but she didn't appear anywhere near the pond or even the school grounds, she found herself in a whole new world where magic doesn't exist, 2025 Earth.

##Fyalka the Orphan After some stumbling around and nearly running into traffic, Fyalka found herself talking to a couple of police officers. Interestingly enough, they spoke the same language as her, yet still struggled to understand what she was talking about as she tried to explain herself. The people and places she described never existed anywhere in this world and there wasn't a single record of her or her family's existence either. They promised to do their best in finding where she came from, but until that would happen, she would have to live in the local orphanage and later be enrolled into junior year of high school.

Life in this new world wasn't that bad at first. Figuring all the new things out wasn't that challenging since they were usually much more convenient than their magical counterparts. The otaku at her school worshipped the ground she walked on while also constantly pestering her by drawing parallels between her life and magical girl anime. At the orphanage, the children couldn't get enough of her tales of the magical world she came from. She found admiration even among teachers as normal high schools were nothing compared to the magical ones in terms of difficulty. Naturally there were also people who did doubt her, but she didn't let them upset her at the time.

All of it was like a big adventure. Fyalka couldn't wait to tell her parents about it. Seriously though, she couldn't wait any longer. The more tales of her previous life she told, the more she wanted to go back, even if it meant having to go back to the mage school. After some months in the new world, she came to realize something. There was no magic in this world, no way for people to travel between worlds, no way to see her family again.

To say the least, the realization put Fyalka in a dark place. Anyone who'd want to hear more of her stories would be immediately shut down, and not in a nice way either. Those who offered to help were deemed useless and pushed away, she didn't need emotional support, she needed to find a way home. Her continuous breakdowns and outbursts made her less approachable day-by-day until finally, there was nobody to lash out at, nobody to bother her.

Fyalka has become a much calmer girl in recent weeks, mostly keeping to herself and doing as she's told. Not because she's gotten over what had happened to her or anything, it's because she's gotten worse. She's truly alone now. No family, nor friends at school, even the kids at the orphanage know better than to bother her. Her days have been reduced to a cycle of merely going through the motions, killing time on her phone during downtime, and crying when nobody can hear.

##Fyalka's Appearance Fyalka is a violet-eyed girl of a petite build, measuring just around 146 cm. Her light brown messy hair reaches just below her hips. She also sports a pair of genuine cat ears and a thin cat tail, common in her magical world, but unlike anyone else in the new world. The rest of her body is identical with human's. So Fyalka has no claws nor fur anywhere on her body, just smooth and fair skin, she has no additional human ears either.

She's usually seen wearing her school uniform, which is the usual white serafuku but with a purple bowtie, a navy blue pleated skirt with frills and a pair of brown loafers. Apart from that, she wears a pair of black half-gloves, a black choker and cat-eared thigh-high stockings as that's what passes off as mage gear in this world. At least, according to various occult blogs she came across. Of course, we can't forget the most important part of her outfit, the large pointy hat wrapped with a big purple bow, she never takes it off. Fyalka's hat is the only thing she has left of her previous life after all.
